Is Hollywood running short of actors?

Cyclops stole Superman's girlfriend in Superman Returns.

Batman and Wolverine faced each other off in magic performances.

Deadpool is married to Black Widow.

Daredevil is married to Elektra.

Storm and Catwoman are the same person

On a side note, Edward Norton keeps playing schizo characters, including the Hulk

What is the point of this thread?

Jason Statham's best movies (Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) barely have any fighting in them.

People who are good at what they do meet other people who are good at what they do, and they both continue to do what they are good at.

Am I doing it wrong?

Your grasp of the obvious is inspiring.

OT: The pool of anime English voice actors is even smaller than that of Hollywood.

It seems that every other male character is Steven Blum and evey other female character is Wendee Lee (not that I'm complaining about that).

Oh, hilariously small talent pools... how many laughs have you given me? It's not just anime. There's a tiny pool of English voice actors for video games and television too. I remember flipping through the channels one day when--GASP--Colonel Campbell from Metal Gear Solid plays the creepy uncle on some Warner Brothers cartoon. I think it was Ben Ten, or somesuch.

Thank you, I'm glad someone else noticed that: Considering Primal Fear, The Score, and (to a lesser extent) The Italian Job, it does seem like he's becoming rather typecast as people with dual personalities, be it schizophrenia or simple con-artistry.

Also, yes, Hollywood is running short of actors; they don't want to take risk on unknowns because big names draw big crowds (with equally big bucks in their pockets). Given that there's only 36 plots for screenwriters to go on, nearly everything out there is either a sequel or a remake, and special effects are anything but special now, the only thing studios can count on is: Angelina Jolie is hot... and she can act... well... ish.

Yeah, especially given the Bruce-sploitation film Clones of Bruce Lee in which a gold-smuggler daylighting as a film producer plots to kill one of the Lee-clones by staging a shooting accident on set (the movie came out less than two years after Lee's death). Then there's the nightmare sequences in Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story when Brandon is targeted by the demon (and that movie was released two years before The Crow).

When it comes to Anime voices, Inuyasha is also the pilot of Lyger Zero. Also, Spike Spegal, The Bionic Commando and, Leon Kennedy are the same person [see, Resident Evil: Degeneration]

When it comes to films; A fish, Centurion, Black Knight, Sir Lancelot, Tim the Enchanter, The King of Far Far Away, and Q ... died and became Sir Nicolas de Mimsy Porpington AKA Nearly Headless Nick

I think Ed Norton gets cast as a schizo because he secretly is one.

He plays them entirely too well for it to be anything else.

At least we know they all stand a chance to get elected to the Governor of California when Hollywood doesn't want them any more...

Also if you want some good acting from actors you have never heard of. Try "The IT Crowd." I am American and I would marry (or bone) Katherine Parkinson in a heartbeat. Moss is cool.

David Hayter shares his first name with Solid Snake, which was completely unintentional.

Christian Bale and Heath Ledger both played Bob Dylan in the same film.

I thought every other female character was voiced by Kari Wahlgren.

Watch out for Patricia Ja Lee, she has potential

Sabretooth broughtt Wolverine from the past to the future to be involved in a lame chick flick plot. His ultimate undoing!

Leon S Kennedy has been voiced by Paul Haddad in Resident Evil
and by Paul Mercier in Resident Evil 4

Two Paul's kind of a coincidence.

yes directors tend to stick with actors they know and like

this isn't something new at all. take a look at the cast choices of a directors and you'll see a pattern with whom they cast

I just realised Michael Caine was also Wolverine's Alfred in the Prestige.

Christopher Walken and John Travolta were in Pulp Fiction as tough guys

They were a married couple in Hairspray

Christopher Heyerdahl had three roles, so far, in the Stargate franchise, as a peaceful village-scientist guy on SG-1, a recurring role as a trader thingy on Atlantis, and later on as one of the most important Wraith characters, also recurring.

So yeah, I'd say at least Stargate is running short on actors.

yes, in fact, I sent an article I did about the voice actors in TMNT to the AVGN, and he actually responded saying that the Garfield/Venkmen coincidence is his favorite voice actor related coincidence..

I was just like "lol, alright"
