It's a combination of Kai and Rai from the Old Beyblade series. I've been using this name for years, and oddly enough, I wasn't too into the Beyblade series.

I think I just like the names.

Uh, on an episodes of Sabrina the teeage witch(forgive me, I was young) some dude had taken the first letters of every chapter of a book and put them together, the formed "My enemy walks in green shoes". I wanted to be that enemy.

I needed a name for my character on Planetside, so I took one of my favorite novel characters- a drow by the name of Jarlaxl- and replaced the J with a K. It sorta became my new all around user name tag thing, and eventually I removed the l on the end, and sometimes include the extra x.

Most of my names are either plays on novels or just randomizations.

Interesting. By the way welcome to the escapist I just became active yesterday even though I made an account yesterday. I would give you the "welcome to the escapist speech", but I don't know it yet.

I like many other discovered this site after hearing about Zero Punctuation, and i waited a pretty long while before i signed up. At the moment, every Zero Punctuation video ended with the quote "fans are whining, complaining dippshits who'll never be satisfied by any concession you make...." and i had reached the level of Yahtzee fandom for it to affect the way i formed my sentences. therefore i became a fan of industrial-strength.

Back when I was 8-9 I wrote a short story about a knight named Sovvolf... and I've used the name as a user name and name for characters in video games ect ever since.. also when ever I play a video game I make my main character have the same appearance as Sovvolf too.

The name came to me though while playing everquest (Yes I was playing everquest at 9 years of age) There was a spell called Spirt of the wolf which was often abreviated into SoW... well one day I wanted to make a Paladine named Spirt of the wolf but that name was a little too long so I tried S(pirt)o(f)wolf= Sowolf... it wouldn't let me... so I cleverly put two v's down for the W making Sovvolf. I intended on using Sowolf another time but well people started calling me Sov so it just stuck and since fourth I have kept the name Sovvolf for my main and even made a back story for him it school as part of an English project (See above).

Gutterslime is part of a line in a GWAR song, slaught-o-rama, and it just kind of stuck, and my xbox gamertag is Peddlewinks, and if you want to know where that came from, do mushrooms and play spore, you'll make a peddlewinks

The Jade Falcon clan was a side in, I believe, MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries. I loved the name, I loved their mechs and I loved their logo. Sadly, the game didn't work on XP.

Mispelled Piscean about 11 years ago. I like piscian better anyway. It's 100% unique online oddly enough.

I just don't like that my wife makes everyone in our TF2 games call me Piss-can in voicechat.

I was a part of the PxDn gamer clan way back in the day. PxDn itself stood for all the major consoles: Playstation Xbox Dreamcast Nintendo

And I have liked Ninjas since I was 10, so for over 15 years. Thus

PxDnNinja

I was 13 years old, and I was building a character for the MMO Final Fantasy XI. I was on an anime kick then, and I wanted my name to sound Japanese. The result was Lilani. As it turns out, there is no "L" sound in the Japanese language. So it ended up being a fail. Though I have been twice accused of being Hawaiian.

Mine is pretty self explanatory. I am a communist, and I am a idealist. Makes sense.

and guess who dislikes commis? I give you a hint...... it's not Dick Cheney.

OT- My username is from a book title that I thought of writing but I'm to lazy to write it even though I'm on a computer half my day. But I would of went with Figment which was a name my friend came up with which was part of my gamer name "A Figment of Your Imagination" But I didn't want to over use the name so I went with 0p3rati0n.

I found out that my "full" username (razavn.ravencrest) has only 2 characters typed with the right hand.

Well, my first name is Alexander and Astarte was a Greek Goddess of sexuality and war. Admittedly I just thought it sounded like a cool name for my character back in the Diablo II days, but it sort of stuck :D

2 things. First my original nickname used to be Demon due to my bad tempered nature. Then my boyfriend decided I act like a cute kitten so i decided to mix them. DemonicKitten.

When I was a lil girl my Mum always called me kitty or kitten and some friends heard and thinking they were taking the piss started calling me kitty; though I already liked the nickname so it stuck.
The other story is the fact that everyone where I now live says I have the natural instincts of a feline and that I act like one without even trying so once again the nick Kitty showed up (it's following me, I'm sure).
I just changed the spelling because I like to be "obnoxiously different" as a teacher once said before getting fired for being black and slapping a black girl so I don't quite trust his opinion. Especially as he was a preist but I digress, I apologise.

EDIT: The x's appeared after a friend of mine who is a massive fan of symbols and replacing letters with numbers and all this "1337"-ist crap (for the people that don't understand 1337 is "leet" in numbers. From what I've been told it's something to do with people who think they are elitists for no reason. Citation needed) decided to make me a hotmail account for no reason.

My username is created using my the first letter of both my first and last name (the B and the V) the HoS stands for Headhunter of Satan. I came up with it 6 years ago (when I 13 I think) and I was a real satanist, I still kind off am, but more of a die hard atheist nowadays. Anyway, I used the name for so many things that I just kept it.
Funny thing is, I actually registered here to reply to this thread. So this is my first comment here!:D

Thank you for your time.

Mine comes from D.Gray man. You see, I love Allen Walker, in a manly way, and Gods Clown is the name of his Innocence. Thus you get "GodsClown"

I have two main Usernames.

Olikunmissile: Ever play Conker Live and Reloaded? The Tediz use this big ass missile they call the Tedikunmissile. Since my name is Oliver I just liked it.

I'm also known as Nineel: This is from many, many years ago. In school. A friend of mine was trying to join some website or something and all his usual usernames were taken. His name is Lee. So he tried Lee backwards. When that was too short he decided to put a number in front of it. He was seveneel. Another of my friends became eighteel and I took nineel.

When I was five years old, I had a pet wolf, that ate ny 98 year old grandmother.

It was very sad, and the wolf was called 'yo', hence Wolfy098.

Well...

On the Sims 2 I wanted to give this kid a latin name, so I found Custodis, which means "Guardian". Then I used the name in a class story as "Custodis Hellenius", for a Roman who was secretly a Greek Spy (translating very roughly as "Guardian of Greece", although it would sound like "Guardian from Greece" rather than actually the guardian of it). I later used the name on the Rome Total War Forums. Soon after I found The Escapist and used Hellenion.

I once caught an episode of some sketch comedy show that featured a doctor shouting "I need 300ccs of MEDICINE, STAT!" And since I'm in the medical field, it's particularly funny to me. I used to say the same line to nurses at the hospital I worked in. "Doctor _____ asked me to tell you that the patient in room 4 needs 300ccs of Medicine."

'Terramax' was a course in the original Wipeout for the Sega Saturn, PSX, PC, etc. I know 'terra' means 'earth' in Spanish so perhaps the name was originally supposed to referrence the type of ground the course was on. Anyways I thought it sounded like 'Terror max' but written more badarse so I've been using it as a nickname since 1997.

Hey guys, I searched this and the last time this topic was posted upon was in August.

Although the last post of that thread I made was on September 26th =P

Mmkay, my username on this forum is basically my IRL name.
But my username for almost everything else now is Narayick, which I got by this method:
Ciaran = naraiC = Narayick.

Pretty cool, huh?

It's my Xbox Gamertag (but with an underscore instead of a space), and as for where i got that from, playing halo - when you kill someone by running them over it's called a Splatter... so thats where that comes from
