OP: Your pretty normal, I've never been fond of people touching my neck. It feels like they are going to switch to strangling me at any moment. My new girlfriend is trying feverishly to get me over this problem though.

Wow, it is more common a fear then you would imagine. It is called, actually in the few moments I was interested in looking the closest I could find was aphephobia, haphephobia, haphophobia, hapnophobia, haptephobia, haptophobia or Chiraptophobia. Seems the fear of being touched is so common it has so many names, with the neck being the most common of places to fear being touched.

When I am on my street alone at night, I am always scared shitless that a random zombie/murderer etc will come out of the middle of nowhere and kill me, I blame 28 weeks later

I hate when people touch me on the shoulder... so I dont see why yours should be a problem

In my case, I don't think it's a phobia, but I have this spot on my throat, and if it's touched, I feel very sick and start to gag. I can't wear tight turtlenecks, for example. It's purely physical, I think.

i don't think it's a legit phobia as i'm sure the definition of such is a crippling fear that inhibits normal life.

I thought snipers had a phobia of changing to a better class.
Snipers may have a use, but the people who play as them don't live up to it.

A friend is school has the same phobia as you It is a bit strange and I touch her neck when she annoys me and she runs away screaming. lol Also a friend of mine doesn't like he's ears being touched

kinda the same here minus the zombies and less scare more paranoied coz i allways keep hold of somthing i could use to defend my self with, even if its just a bunch of keys i can jab at some one if they come at me. lol

I have no idea why as im fine when im out in the county side at night.
Mabey its because i hunt so i feel safer in the field's coz i can "tune in with it"

Trust me, You've got nothing on me when it comes to weird phobias. Although it doesnt stop me living a relatively normal life. Unlike when spiders are around.

That's actually very understandable. The neck is a vulnerable and sensitive area, so fear of contact is quiet common. But I think the throat slashing is something else. Sounds more like a fear of attack in crowds. Played Assasin's Creed lately? (^^ Could not resist)
As for me personally, I HATE bugs. Creepy crawly little jerks! I squish roaches, spiders, even ladybugs. Specifically, I'm horrified of Centipedes; I see one I run out of the room. Its so weird. I love snakes and I love heights and such, but I can't stand bugs.

Weirdly enough, I could stand Assassin's Creed, well, i dunno, i never saw too much graphically :P

i have a phobia of pitch darkness. i say pitch darkness because most levels i can handle, but when you cant see our hands or feet i completely freak out-i suppose i have due reason though i find it unreasonable, and my freak has anxiety attacks based solely around the fear of Zombies. a literal serious fear of zombies. but hey, everyone has their quirks right?

When my school was having their graduation ceremony, I couldn't look up during the whole time i was on stage as i was imagining someone coming up behind me and slashing my exposed throat :(

One of my good friends also has this phobia.. and I also had a girlfriend who had a similar thing with her neck.

So it must be a legit thing.

I will say this though, don't tell your mates about it. Thats what my friend did to about 4 of us while we were talking about shit, and all 4 of us immediately tried to grab his neck- and continued to do it for like another month. It was hilarious. So avoid that by not telling your mates.

Balloons. I have a genuine phobia of balloons. Anytime there's a balloon in the room or nearby (especially if it's some stupid kid holding it) I have to get away as fast as possible, and if I can't I start to panic. I also really hate fireworks and lightning. I can't go out on Bonfire Night, or any other night when there's a strong possibility people will be setting off fireworks (bit of a problem round this time of year). And not a phobia, but I'm often slightly creeped out by mirrors and other reflective surfaces. But mainly it's balloons.

That is indeed odd.

I personally don't have any weird phobia's of any sort. Just clowns. Im not scared of them , I just hate them

Everyone has their phobias. Some don't make any sense at all. But I'm not here to judge you since I have my fair share of fears. Like needles. I hate hate hate getting shots even though I know for a fact that they don't hurt. I've gotten plenty of shots and none of them have hurt but when I see a needle, my heart rate goes up and I start freaking out.

I used to be afraid of robot-like machines and the noises they make.

I'm scared of balloons. I cannot blow one up for fear of it popping in my face. I also refuse to touch them because they tend to explode in my hands.

I have a weird fear of "ascending at upward angles". Going up escalators, I always start leaning forward. Driving up hills, I start to grit my teeth. Planes taking off... well, I haven't used an airline in years and can't remember. Climbing walls, I refuse to even attempt.
