Your mother, so I could beat you. Anyway, I've always fancied being a writer. One or more of those. |

Most likely I dream of being a writer, though I can also see myself as a film director and an actor if I put my mind to it. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 3588 Joined: 14 Jan 2009 | I'd like to help people enjoy their lives, possibly through my writing, music, art, or skill. So I guess musician, writer, game art designer/LOLFOTOSHOOP, or if QL.TV ever gets something like a TV block, gaming professional. Considering none of these are remotely plausible/possible unless I put in a ridiculous amount of effort and called everyone I could about getting on their radio shows and such, I think I'd just better go for those A+ and N+ certifications and finish this IT degree. Maybe I can repair people's computers as my contribution to society, I guess, and let all the people who are worse than me at programming do all that hard stuff. |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 3900 Joined: 4 May 2008 | Much like almost anyone else on this site, a game dev would be a dream job for me. Writing (novels or journalism) could be good, as would being something in radio (I'd be the third generation in a row to have had my own show). Working with the police has also been suggested a few times. |
Press Junketeer Posts: 361 Joined: 26 May 2009 | bleh. who the hell knows... it's gone from wanting to be a nun(sigh, i was virtually brainwashed when i was a kid, ok) to an architect, to an artist, to an illustrator, to a game artist, to a bum, to a starving artist, then finally to absolute apathy towards my career future. seriously, fuck it. |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 3793 Joined: 3 Feb 2009 | I'm studying medicine at the moment so I obviously want to be a doctor, but more specifically I want to specialise in oncology. Most importantly though, I want to become a father at some stage and have a family. That's number one on my list. |

So ideally you would want to be a doctor who murders you patients and writes books with their blood? Myself, I actually don't know. As long as I can do something with computers, or maybe engineering, I guess I'll be satisfied. |

Try for content instead. It's far greater and more beneficial. Happiness is a state that is, I'm fairly sure, not meant to last for a particularly extended period. Perhaps that's what you meant, not sure. I'm not trying to denigrate, just offer a suggestion. ------- OT: As a kid, I wanted to be the scientist who discovered a proper cure for cancer. Kids, eh? Now, as an adult, I've found a (word beyond satisfaction & happiness) as a volunteer adoptions officer and animal attendant with my local RSPCA shelter. Who'd have thunk it? Not anyone who knew me as a child or teen/young adult, that's for sure. I have a couple of other jobs that I use to pay the rent and bills, but the shelter work is what gives me a sense of purpose. Amazing how hopes and dreams get surpassed by reality at times, ain't it? |

Hell yeah. A politician. Sadly, the way it seems to work is you either need to have a sizeable fund to back you up beforehand or join a pre-existing party, and I don't like any of them that much. |

No, see, I wouldn't want to combine them, except maybe to use my medical knowledge to make my kills more goretastic and use my killing experience and my medical knowledge to write more realistically. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 3391 Joined: 16 May 2009 | Writer. Its one of my favorite things to do and I'm good at it so why not make it a profession? I love to write short stories and poems in my spare time so why shouldn't I get paid for it? Specifically, I'd like to write comic books. Don't know why comics exactly. Probably because I like to draw along with writing and those two go together in comics. |

My mate does this. He runs a couple of pr0n sites. Plays computer all day, and lives in a massive house, in one of the most expensive districts of Denmark. OT: I want to be a bartender and die as a 30 year old so I never have to raise kids. |

I always dreamed of becoming a gamedesigner or a design-engineer. If that can't be reached, I'll be happy with the job of radio-announcer.
Now it's your turn: What do or did you always wanted to be? No bad jokes plz.
