From this selection of stock superpowers,nothing beats telekinesis. I WANT telekinesis - mainly because i'm a lazy bastard. If i get lucky,pyrokinesis or telepathy may also be included! I don't need to be invulnerable,because i can deflect bullets. I don't need to fly because i can levitate a platform i'm standing on.

Telekinesis. No question about it.

I wouldn't need to fly, because I could just move myself through the air.
I wouldn't need super strength, because I can hurl others away from me with my mind.
I wouldn't need super speed, because I can just move myself really fast.

You could do basically anything with telekinesis if you were powerful enough.

I'd take the force any day.

Its like a combination of telekinesis, electricity, super strength, and super speed.

I choose super speed, but that's just because when your invisible, you have to be naked too and you can't carry any stolen goods with you (and if you get dirty, your visible, if you want to get in to details).
But mostly it depends on what ''super speed'' means. How fast is that? 400 km/h is ok? I think it's enough if you don't want to get killed by a fly or a rock on the road. I could run in a bank and out with the money really fast and nobody would recognize me.

Telekinesis for me thanks. I can see that being the most useful out of the lot, although flight might be pretty cool.

Telekinesis if I could only pick from those choices. Out of any other superpower, Id pick Shapeshifting.

-I'll levitate myself with it
-I'll cause distractions so I'm not seen
-I'll lift stuff with my mind, not my muscles
-I'll levitate myself really fast
-I'll Force Choke people instead of zapping them
-...X-ray vision wins its round

true but telepathy and telekinesis often go hand in hand so that was mostly me being hopeful.
oh and btw if there isn't a limit to how powerful you are, I could remove gravity with telekinesis.

Telekinesis, i'm lazy, I can do what I want with it, deflect things, levitate things, fly [per se],and its not far from mind control

Hmmm. Personally, I would usually go for Elemental Control over Water (manipulate it, turn into it etc.) or Vortex Control (ability to create rifts or black holes in space at will).

However from these stock powers I often dream I have telekinesis, and it is awesome so I'll go with that.

I would take super strength because all the other powers are useless.
Flying: Lets see you try to land.
Invisibility: Clothing isn't invisible.
Super Speed: You will run into a wall (SPLAT)
Electricity/Fire from hands. The minute you get caught you will have your hands removed.
X-ray Vision: Every time you use it your eyes are filled with radiation.
Telekinesis: The amount of concentration it would take to control everything would be impossible.
Breath Under Water: Aqua man was the worst super hero ever. Need I say more?

I'm agreed, but it all depends on exactly how good the powers are. What if it's like a third, invisible arm: you can't pick yourself up, and bullets are too fast to catch?

Yeah, but I think his powers are a bit broken. Why bother to do anything if you can just blink your eyes, go back in time and change everything? Takes the fun out of world domination.

Ability to turn invisible! Makes running away from battles much easier.

If I was required to have something other than the sissy hiding place power, I would have telekinesis, or super speed.

Given a proper choice, I'd like the power to make people use the search button before posting yet another Super-power thread. But I guess you can't have everything.

Telekinesis would be the best though. Think about it, anything can be accomplished with telekinesis if you can master it enough.

-Push off from the ground with enough force to lift yourself = flight.

-Manipulate particles in the air to change how they reflect light = making people see things that aren't there = mind control.

Seriously, try and tell me something you can't do with Telekinesis.

I would choose the ability to turn invisible because that would make life so much easier.

I'm torn between being able to fly around, be awesome and have a quick mode of travel, or get the power of lightning and turn the many people who annoy me into my little electo-targets.

Well, okay, I'd rather know how to play the guitar and use the guitar to blow things up Brutal Legend style, but since that isn't an option here;

I'll go with flight. It seems more convenient.

Telekinesis. I can do almost everything. I can kill you all with a thought then! Or do it Sylar style. (Heroes reference)

No teleportation? In that case, Invisibility. Useful for escaping enemies, spying and other stuff.
