I love classic rock. Also techno. I realize this is an odd combo, but both are awesome, with classic rock being more awesome than techno.

Metal and alternative/punk rock are my top 2, but Jazz is close behind.

My personal favorites are electro, alternative/rock, and jazz. What are yours? Why?

EDIT: if none of the choices above then speak up! It only had 8 slots :/

Also you should make it Swing/Jazz, swing is "fun" jazz.

i voted classical because rock and metal do not go together, at least the metal i listen to is about as close to rock as rap is.

why the fuck is jazz on the list???

I answered rock and metal. My favorite is actually punk music, which technically is more stylistically similar to emo than any of these other genres. However, emos suck, so I chose rock and metal

I personally tend to go for power metal, symphonic power metal, some viking metal and hard rock, J-Pop/Rock, and certain periods of classical (especially impressionist and modern).

I also have a strange weakness for smooth jazz.

A random person:
I can't choose any one thing, but I have some leanings towards prog rock, some alternative stuff (They Might Be Giants FTW!), and even J-pop (some of it's awesome).

Thank you for pointing me to a high-fidelity full version of Innocent Starter. I totally didn't realize how much I was missing out.

Gotta say, I don't seek out Eurodance, but most of the things I've heard have been enjoyable.

Jazz/Swing is pretty close. I'm a fan of the oldies, circa The Andrews Sisters to Billie Holiday, and also Big Band music, the likes of Shirley Bassey. =) Yeah, I'm kinda retro, I guess, but I'm quite partial to the more contemporary scene as well. I like my jazz guitar. (Rest in peace, Eva.)

I canīt say anything goes, but I still like a lot of things ranging from power metal to indie rock and beyond. Progressive/post rock is where Iīm usually at, though. And it seems to be pretty lonely in here.

All and all, I don't listen that much music, but when I do, it's going to most likely be rock/metal or classical. Actually in classical music I really enjoy the whole experience, I love watching good opera or ballet, just listening the music isn't that enjoyable to me.

You are welcome, good sir, and I also have to thank you for possibly pointing me to Blind Guardian.

Also about eurodance, I don't really actively seek it out either, but whenever I've found any I loved it and discovered my weakness to it.
