Actually, I'd say that a lot of the best anime are the shorter ones because they focus on telling a good story in that time rather than going on like a lot of long-running series. |

I've been watching Death Note on Hulu recently, and I must agree with you there. It's like a cross between Artemis Fowl and Sherlock Holmes, with a sense of urgency about it similar to what you feel at a murder mystery party. Slight spoiler in my next statement about the show. |

Know I shouldn't but laughed myself half to death at puni puni poemy although whether you can count it as short when it is merely a branch off of excel saga is arguable, enjoy cromarty high only 15 min long episodes defines short series in a different way, |

Technically, it's three different serials that take part in a larger series, each with their own plotlines (although Fumoffu is mostly stand-alone episodes), but I suppose you are right... I'm also really fond of a series called "Rune Soldier"; 24 episodes long and apparently a sibling series to "Record of Lodoss War" (same world, different continent), although I'm not familiar with the latter. |
