Sounds to me like your having heart palpitations. You definitely want to see a doctor about that. OT: Occasionally muscles on my chest will catch on my ribs. It's probably the sharpest pain I've ever felt. Although it hurts pretty badly, the worst part is that it is sudden and usually startles me. Thankfully it usually doesn't last long. |

I'd get that checked out, it's probably mental, but still go see a doctor. |

Never have had that wierd heartbeat thing, though. It could be a problem with your pacemaker. If it keeps up, I'd see a doctor. By the way, a pacemaker (the natural one, not the surgical implant) is a cluster of cells in the heart that send electrical impulses through it, stimulating the valves to contract. It's what keeps the heartbeat in check. Some heart attacks are caused by the pacemaker firng off-sync, or sometimes not firing at all. Just in case you didn't know. |

I didn't either. Until I didn't have them. And I'm right-handed so it's very frustrating trying to write with a smooth sided pen or use chopsticks. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 1249 Joined: 17 Oct 2008 | According to my doctor, my bones are growing slightly faster then my muscles, which result in the occasional extreme amounts of pain as my muscle if being stretched. Luckily those don't happen too often and they are short. This doesn't hurt but I also grind my teeth really bad at night. So bad that if I didn't wear the retainer I have while I sleep, I wouldn't have teeth by the time I'm 21 (I'm 16 right now). |

Oh crap... I do think I remember this strange pod thing at the carpark last time I was at the mall...
Not that I can remember myself. Maybe those pesky gnomes are doing it to me while I sleep. I think I would wake up then though. |

And theses random scratches and cuts that appear everywhere, but apparently I'm dealing with Kitten Xenomorphs.

It feels like my circulatory system is being pumped up by a bicycle pump and I have to take a moment to just tilt my head towards the ceiling and squint my eyes until it stops, which takes maybe 45 seconds; unsettling though. It probably has something to do with the fact that my kidneys stopped functioning four years ago and all that's really left of them is scar tissue, 'cept for the slightly used one I acquired shortly after that; but that's a looong other story.* My left eye twitches pretty violently when I haven't gotten sleep in a while; sometimes when I bend my left elbow it's a little hard to unbend it and it makes a satisfying crack when I do :) *Long story short, I have more kidneys than you do noob. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 1406 Joined: 24 Oct 2009 | My heart flutters sometimes for no apparent reason. I also get chest pains for no reason that causes me to hold my breath due to the pain of breathing for up to a minute. Been to the doctors, couldn't find anything at that time. Only coz it comes and goes. |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 2017 Joined: 5 Feb 2009 | Go to the doctors maybe? How obvious can it be that the moment something seems to be going wrong you visit someone who's specialized in detecting and fixing what's wrong? |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 3689 Joined: 3 Aug 2008 | Yeah, they're called palpitations. Cut back on caffeine. Anyway, nothing too bad is bothering me at the moments. My left ear is really hurting. My legs are starting to ache again and my tummy's hurting due to good ol' PMS, but apart from that, it's all good in the hood. |

And I'd be correct in the assumption that you didn't physically exert yourself that day? |
Press Junketeer Posts: 492 Joined: 11 Feb 2009 |
That assumption would be fairly correct. There was some driving that day, and some... bedroom gymnastics, but no other training or something >_> |

I've had that before, They are called heart palpitations and there fairly common, You'll grow out of them. Research them from a doctor's prospective.
