I have a feeling they can keep at it, but it isn't surprising when some people view the shine of the show as worn off. To me, so far they are still funny while trying to send a message. As long as they can keep that up, I'm still going to watch. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 3405 Joined: 6 Nov 2008 | I think that at first South Park was meant to be a satire. Then younger kids started to watch it so they would seem older, and now the show is catering to them. It's basically trying to be as offensive as possible instead of trying to make real jokes. |

FUCK YOU COW, FUCK YOU CHICKEN Look son. There just like us now Fantastic episode. They still are brilliant shows with a good meaning but not as important as they once were. The credit crunch episode was good and the Wrestling one perfectly covered what wrestling really is like. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 1227 Joined: 30 Mar 2009 | I don't about south park losing it, I thought that Butter's bottom bitch was a pretty entertaining episode and that one had nothing to do with current culture (unless I have unknowingly become a shut-in). |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 2440 Joined: 11 Oct 2008 | The first half of this past season, with the exception of the Pirate episode, was so bad it confused me. Then the more recent episodes came out, not one of which I didn't enjoy to the fullest extent. They were bad for a time, but they're back and just as funny as they were before. And the one with Ike seeing dead celebrities was the best one in a couple years!

FUCK YOU COW!!!! ... So am I the only one that took that as a possible reference to the old show Cow and Chicken? |

Hell no I love Cow and Chicken, first thing I usually think when people say chicken. I think South Park has got better with the later series, watching the old ones again and they don't have as many sub plots that tie in with the main plot, I think it's great. |

I hope you realize how stupid this sounds, they were not being racist at all, I suggest you watch the episode again and actually pay attention to whats going on... |
Muckraker Posts: 343 Joined: 5 Oct 2008 | God damn, I typed out a long ass post and then accidentally hit back on my mouse and lost it. The short of it was: South park is still funny. |

Brummm bruhbruhbruh RUHRUHRUHRUH BRUH BRUH BRUH! I love the new one about the harley riders, its so true XD That's what i like about south park, their jokes always have a tiny gem of ironic truth in. |
Copy Clerk Posts: 73 Joined: 10 Aug 2009 | yes i think it but it is still the best show on comedy central |
Paperboy Posts: 15 Joined: 25 Oct 2009 | South Park never had "it". Its how many seasons of inbred fart humor now? Not that its all actually humor on farts, but all of it is about that level. Sure if you can't count to four without using your fingers, it'd probably be hilarious, but for jokes with a point, maybe some real setup...nah. Just feels and sounds to me like a show written by a bunch of people who stopped aging mentally around 13 or 14. Reminds me of a trip to the pool in middle school when a kid got kicked out and thought the phrase "suck my cock" was a good thing to shout out while he was seeing himself off. 'Course he started laughing...I just wanted to throw rocks at him, hoping one might hit him and dislodge the stupid from him, or damage something to the point where he couldn't breed. Looking back, I bet that kid loves South Park too. |

I know we aren't supposed to say "this" but... uh... This. |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 1997 Joined: 11 Jan 2009 | I don't agree with you, i have seen many awesome episodes recently like whale wars and that episode with the Jonas Brothers. |
Beat Writer Posts: 130 Joined: 18 Mar 2009 | South Park is still awesome, and will always be awesome. |
Paperboy Posts: 34 Joined: 31 Oct 2009 | Its funny now because its satire. It was funny back then because it was gross-out. Win win to me buddy. |

wouldn't that be Jimmy? the crippled comedian kid, and not timmy the wheelchair kid? Oh yeah, they've defenitley stiil got it |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 1305 Joined: 5 Feb 2009 | It's had a few missteps in the last two seasons but when they hit it right it is wicked funny. So no they still got "it". |
Paperboy Posts: 16 Joined: 14 May 2008 | I'm not going to dignify this with a huge defense speech, so I'll just answer No. |
Copy Clerk Posts: 71 Joined: 15 Sep 2009 | I just got into south park like a month ago and since then i have seen all the episodes. I found that south park changes a little by trying to be less and less PC as time went on. Which is always a good laugh. BTW SP is not racist or insulting because then insult everyone |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 1427 Joined: 19 Jun 2009 | Its been deteriorating for some two seasons now, they just ran outta good stuff to make fun of and lately resort to just portraying celebrities and saying curse words to their "face" which is too childish. They used to make me laugh like crazy, nowadays i just smile a bit... :-( |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 1894 Joined: 9 Aug 2009 | It's still very good - I watch episodes from all different series non-chronologically all the time, and there's no split in quality between the newer and older ones. |

No that just means they're consistent. The fact that its hugely satirical sort of excuses everything though. Similar to Little Britain. |
Anonymous Source Posts: 10 Joined: 7 Nov 2009 | every once in a while, they lose 'it' |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 1539 Joined: 15 Aug 2008 | This season has been a very big miss in my opinion, soon like Family Guy I'll just stop watching it all together. |

Agreed, I like the fact that it is now more of a parody.
I still laugh out loud at South Park, I can't say the same for Family Guy or The Simpsons any more.
