No. All my stuff is here on Earth, and I'm not particularly interested in abandoning it. I'm not all that adventurous when there's no escape clause.
No I wouldn't, oh look red sand, and more red sand ooo a redish orange sand that made my day.
Although it may be fun at first, the internet and anime is on Earth, so this is where I stay.
Depends, can i access the internet from there?
Actually, a world free of societies influences on what is right and wrong would be great. It could be a new opportunity to create a society that Earth can't support in it's current state. A society where right and wrong is not judged by governments or religious texts, but by the effects your actions have on others. It would be grand. That being said, until they open a Starbucks and a McDonald's on the mars and then take steps to avoid demonic invasion, you can count me out. Oh, and having some oxygen would be nice too.
It'd be the real Red Faction!!! No but seriously that would get boring real fast or land you in jail.
So Mars can be just as bad as Earth? I say we should send people to colonize mars, but their IQ has to be over 120. So we won't make the same mistakes... even if IQ doesn't show anything.
I wouldn't emigrate. I'd certainly donate DS's to the settlers though.
M-A-R-S Mars bitches. We going to Mars! RED ROCKS! *Yeah yay* OT: I don't think I would. The notorious storms don't really convince me that it is a very safe place.
Y | |
That depends: Is an angry Austrian man telling me to go there?
And thus would begin the wars between the Yeah, I'd colonise. I'd colonise the hell out of Mars. I'd colonise her so hard she wouldn't even know how colonised she was. She wouldn't be able to sit down for a week after I finished colonising her.
I would go. I'm not too happy with Earth right now, and a new beginning would be awesome. Where do I sign up? And what are the inflight movies on the trip?
I wouldn't go to Mars until someone managed to prove it was survivable.
We have enough problems here, yet alone Mars. Maybe one day when the sun gets hotter the water on Mars may become liquid and we can last a few more billion years. We're only ever running from our own destruction.
hehehehe. | |
Would the laws of pimping of creating cyber sex slaves nad selling their services against the law on Mars?
well of course, because it would be AWESOME!
If i could survive there (highly improbable)I would. I would have to have the essencial for survival: Water, food, shelter and internet.
I'd prolly stay here. I mean, Earth is where it's at! (Ba Dum Tish)
colonise | |
No, I like air. Besides, I hear the surfing there is shite.
yes i would, it would be cool being one of the first people to be on mars. but i don't think im on the list of people to go there. martian: this is madness "grav kick into the sun"
..Uhm, In all logic in my stange insanity, I would say no. We'd just blow that one up too.
In many of my favorite sci-fi Mars is first colony world, so yeah, in honor of Alastair Reynolds and Dan Simmons.
If it ended up like this, then sure.
As long as I'm in charge, otherwise I'll stick with ordering the Moon about
why not go to the moon, instead.
Well, this planet is getting a bit past it. Perhaps its time we ruined Mars!
fuck that man lets just nuke the whole planet
i would go live there with earth is out of resources and global warming is too high :D
only if they have good wi-fi there
Hell. Yes. I would love to be somewhere new. To be a pioneer of sorts. Also, I could get my hands on some of that secret space technology. ...But unfortunately, I probably wouldn't have the money to even think about doing such a thing.. Oh well.. That's why I have Doom. EDIT: On second thought, since everybody would be so hyped up about colonizing mars, and a large majority of the world would be gone, that would mean that there would be more space for me on earth.. Hmm..
I would visit but not colonize. I am getting to old for that shit. By the time they do get to Mars I will be around 50. Or even 60. My grand kids can do it for me. ;P

Excerpt from the Mars Wikipedia page:
So, what do you think? Would you emigrate the planet Earth to live on Mars, if it became a viable option within your lifetime?
I know I would personally. It would be like an opportunity to rewrite the world - to break free of everything about human society and culture, and start again from scratch. I think it would be incredibly freeing.
What about you? Do those red deserts hold any appeal to you?
