When you listen to it, you ache, though for what you'll never know.

For what reason I'll never know, 'The Unforgettable Fire' by U2. I don't know what the songs about (some say it's about love, others say the Hiroshima bomb), and what's worse I don't know what feeling I'm supposed to be having when I hear it.

What I mean is, most songs you can tell if they're supposed to provoke happiness, sadness, aggression, anger, pride, etc, but this one I just can't figure it out. All I know is, when I hear this song, I have to stop what I'm doing and pay 100% attention to it. So no listening to it when I'm on my motorbike.

Here's a vid of it.

Actually, Birdhouse In Your Soul, for me. It's been stuck in my head for days.
God I love that song.

Something I Can Never Have by Nine Inch Nails
Let Down by Radiohead
The Good Left Undone by Rise Against
Are We The Waiting? and Wake Me Up When September Ends by Green Day
Man of the Hour by Pearl Jam

I can't explain the reasoning for all of these, but all of them give me an almost bursting sensation in my chest, kinda odd.

Fade to Black by Metallica, especially when played live (and even more so in recent days). I'd post a video, but my internet is sucking horrible things.

Immortality and Elderly Woman Behind the Counter In a Small Town by Pearl Jam. Those are some pretty great songs.

These three songs are simply beautiful and quite capable of bringing me to a peaceful, pacifistic state.

As for songs that invoke memories and nostalgia, Pokemon has some (why yes, Pokemon played quite a role in my childhood). Also, in addition to being awesome, Joint from Shakugan No Shana tapped into some abstract feeling of childhood fantasy when I first heard it. I don't know why, however.

There's actually a good few songs that can get my goosebumps going, but lately it's been Leave out all the rest, by Linkin Park, especially with the video.

Oh dude "When I'm Gone" made me cry the first time I heard it, I still remember.
And now that I'm digging up my old gorillaz stuff that's gettin to me, and I'm in this weird Hazy mood right now. I imagine his is what being on drugs is like after a while.

Forgot When i'm gone, though it's more of a personal song, so for me it doesn't have the raw energy of "till i collapse, heck that song is teh most motivating thing i've ever heard. Just the beat itself is enough to make you take whatever you're doing all the way. I hear it on repeat when i work out lol.

About the drugs, can't really tell u, never tried real drugs... weed just makes you tired after a while

A song called "Maybe Tomorrow is a Better Day" by Poets of the Fall a Finnish band.

If they sound familiar they sang "Late Goodbye" (another great song) for the ending of Max Payne 2.

Heres the song played in a fan made Half Life 2 video. Its done rather well.

Lately almost all SubtractiveLAD's music has really hit me hard. His songs are all so beautiful, but in particular I like "The Natural Whirled", "Mayfly", and "Nocturne".

Every time one of his songs comes up on Pandora I just stop whatever I'm doing and stare off into space. The three I mentioned have all brought tears to my eyes before. Everyone should definitely check his music out.

The "Nothing Else Matters" cover of Metallica by Apocalyptica. When the solo hits and you hear that haunting sound of those cellos sending out the beautiful solo notes, you can't help but be stopped in your tracks.

Okay.So i just listened to it.And iīm tearing up a little here.

Wrong by depeche mode.

I got so horribly depressed when I heard that.

Really the wrong way to get into someone's soul.

As big a metalhead as I am, surprisingly it is:

Here without you - 3 Doors Down

However there are personal reasons why that song connects to me, so it is to be expected I guess.
