Has anybody here ever given a name to an inanimate object?

For example I call my trust SCAR-H on MW2, Oliver.

Is anyone else like this or have I just gone mad?

Well, I call my SCAR in R6V2 "teh PwNeR". It's pretty much the only gun I use in that game.

Heh. I was honestly going to make exactly this thread like 3 days ago when I got a new 1TB HDD and spent a good while thinking up a name for her.
Anyway yes, all my HDDs have names. So do my work knives.

When I was younger I won a coconut at my school fair, the coconut looked like a face... somehow and I kept it in my room for 2 years and named it Snubbles.
Note: I was like, 8 years old...

Looking back on it anybody would've thought I was mental.

I call my Xbox 'Useless Bastarrd'. Apart from that, nothing. Oh yes, at school, I've named a lamppost Terry, and three signs Mark, James and Stoner.

Oyea of course! I named my leader and gave each squad cool sounding titles. I never remembered them though.

My computer's name is Alice. She's good to me and I'm good to her. I sometimes bitch at her when she doesn't run quite as quickly as I want her to, but I keep her as up-to-date as I can.

My PS2 came with a name, Wesker. Don't ask, I don't know. I'd assume it has something to do with Resident Evil.

The A.I. I'm trying to code is going to be named Helena.

So yes, I name inanimate objects. I also talk to myself. Am I crazy? Possibly. But I'm not yet insane. ^_^

Of course, I refer to the first shotgun I get in any shooting game as 'My Bitch'.

Other examples are as follows:

I call a wooden training sword I own 'my happy stick' (cookie for the reference).
My leather jacket is refered to as 'the coat of office'.
I named my guitar 'the Relic' (no real reason, it just sounded very heavy metal).

It's a Relic of Rock. Very Jack-Black-esque... I approve :D

"This is my favourite gun. I call her Vera..."

Bloody hell, I seem to have become obsessed in the last few minutes with quoting cool stuff. Anyway, I don't give objects names or anything, but I've heard of some funny ones before. Does Henry the Hoover count if it's an actual branded Henry Hoover? We had one in our flat last year and another in our house now...

I name all of my (well, most of my) stuffed animals.

I also name my iPods. My last one was Tim, and my current one is Vandesdelca.

I keep meaning to name my Gamecube, my TV, my computer, my cellphone, and my DS, but I can't really come up with anything good.
