Georgia has worse weather. Stagnant hot humid air in the summer and we manage to get arctic cock slaps of wind at winter time. Spring and fall cold in the morning and 40 or so degrees later it's hot again. |

I live in Naperville right now, used to live near Frankfort/Tinley Park. Well, it might not be the confederacy but they speak with an accent at Mickey D's when I go to my diving meet in Peoria. |
Paperboy Posts: 28 Joined: 7 Sep 2009 | chicago represent! :P i like living here, we don't have to worry about natural disasters that most coastal states have to worry about. the worst weather we get here are big snow storms or heavy rain. Living near the city, there isn't that high of a change of tornados even. And i like the weather, you got both extremes in each season. Single digit wind chills in winter and triple digits in summer. fun! =D |

Really? I wonder if you think I have an accent, then. I'm not that far south, but still. I don't notice any difference in dialect from Peoria to Naperville though. I used to spend a lot of time in Clarendon Hills, too. |

Same, I'm in Houston, where are you? As for weather, Houston has four distinct seasons: December, January, February, and HELL. We also are a diverse place, the traffic of LA and the atmosphere of Calcutta! |

As orranis said I live in Chicagoland and I feel that that is the only reasonable place to hold such an event. If you ever need any particular help send me a PM, only thing I do here anymore is chech my messages and convice myself that I clear all 300 of them out at some point. |

Well, I think people would consider Canada, but when they try and figure out how many Canadians in the midwest would come they realize no sane person would live in Saskatchewan or Manitoba, so they come to the conclusion no one lives there. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 1082 Joined: 6 Aug 2009 | Does Missouri count as the Midwest? We put up with fucking tornadoes half the year, so I always assumed we earned the right to call ourselves Midwesterners. |
