What movie from your earlier years still makes you feel like a little kid again, no matter what age you are, when you watch it?

The Robin Williams thread kind of sparked this for me since mine would, without a doubt, have to be Hook. Everything about that movie just fills me up with that same glee and wonder that I had when I was younger.

Star Wars. I remember watching that movie as a young kid, and every time I watch them today, I feel exactly the same way I did back then.

Of course, I only watch the original ones on VCR, not the new "digitally enhanced" versions.

Adventures in Babysitting. I don't know why but whenever I see that film it just makes me feel like a five year old again and I'm happy.

There's also another movie like that, Over the Hedge, that came out when I was 17 but it still makes me feel like a kid when I watch it.

I still love Dragon Ball Z's movie about Broly. "TREMBLE ALL YOU WANT! But in the end, YOU'RE STILL DEAD!" XD

The Rescuers Down under!

I almost like it as much today as I did when age 8.

Jurassic Park, I remember watching it so many times as a kid and then rewinding it. I did it so much I think the cassette actually melted.

I never lost my child like sense of awe when I first saw that Brachiosaurus, more so though was of course the T-rex. When the T-rex first broke out of her cage I was just pissing myself with glee and I still remember that scene where the T-rex becomes a hero. It really does make me feel like I'm reliving my childhood, going back and watching that movie.

True that...I remember watching Star Wars on VHS as well. Only the original does it for me though, A New Hope. That one is my favorite...and in the VHS one, Han Solo straight up murders Guido, which was awesome.

As for Pokemon...eh, not so much.

The time machine remake, I watched that movie countless times in my younger days. The morlocks still scare me, the time machine still captures me and the story entertains me as much as it did the first time I watched it.

There are a few of these. Friday the 13th I-VI, Yellow Submarine, Star Wars, and Labyrinth really feed the inner kid.

I would pay you every internet cent that I own for a copy of those! I was really annoyed when I first realized that the digital remasters were the only ones available anymore. Grrr.

Star Wars, particularly V, because as a kid, the Hoth sequence was pure awesome.

The only ones I have are the Special Edition VHS tapes of the original trilogy. So not only are they POSSIBLY George Lucas' insane 'remastered' ones (Han shot first, dammit) but I don't even own anything that can play them anymore. I plan on buying the original trilogy DVD eventually.

I think I'm going to watch Episode V again tomorrow night.

EDIT: Does anyone know if the ones I've got (VHS Special Edition) were George Lucas' crazy edited ones? Or do I have "Han shot first" editions? Because if I do, I just came.

I can't say I recall the Special Editions having Han not shooting first...although, I could be wrong.

I still have the ones where Han shoots Guido with no qualms whatsoever.
