Aidinthel:

Actual:
Hold me in your hand and I'll guide you.
But put your hand to me and I'll bite you.

My life can be measured in hours,
I serve by being devoured.
Thin, I am quick
Fat, I am slow
Wind is my foe

Two riddles with the same answer, the first is a little vague, I came up with it myself. So I googled for a better one.

This thing all things devours:
Birds, beasts, trees, flowers.
Gnaws Iron, bites steel
Grinds hard stones to meal.
Slays kings, ruins towns,
and beats high mountains down.
What is it?

NightShadeNes:
Riddle:Four men were in a boat on the lake. The boat turns over, and all four men sink to the bottom of the lake, yet not a single man got wet! Why?

They're all in scuba suits!

Well, I have a few riddles:
1. What object has keys that open no locks, space but no room and you can enter but not go in?2. A 16-year-old boy was driving a moped down a one-way street in the wrong direction. A policeman stopped him and gave him a ticket. The policeman paid the ticket himself. Why?
3. Until I am measured I am not known. Yet how you miss me when I have flown.
4. I am something that does not weigh in grams, ounces, or pounds. However, I may be heavy or light.

That first one, yes. Another one:

What has roots that nobody sees
Is taller than trees
Up, up it goes
but it never grows

Here is an easy one. Name the two things that you can never eat for breakfast.

You get a cookie anyways.

Hmm, we sure have some Tolkein fans in here :).

I can run but not walk. Where ever I go, you follow close behind, what am I?

Simalacrum:
I'm useless at riddles, and shall instead post my own riddle! (well... riddle that I know of... >.>)

A man enters a field with a pack on his back and dies. How did he die?

There is a man who is lying dead in a field. There is a rock next to his body. The rock killed him but never touched him. Who is the man and how did the rock kill him?

Use spoiler boxes. Winner gets a popsicle.

Also, yes I know this is another riddle thread. But feel free to add your own riddles. I like riddles.....

so... superman committed suicide? or.. he couldnt walk away for some reason? its hard to picture him standing in a field next to kryptonite until he dies ._.

That's an awful comment. It's a riddle. Plus, Superman isn't real if you want to get technical.

My god that must be the biggest cookie I have ever received.

ddon:

I'm sure everone has heard of this riddle but here it goes. There is a wolf, a goat and some lettuce. You need to bring everything to the other side of a river but there are no bridges and your boat can only hold you and one other item. You can not leave the wolf with the goat and you can not leave the goat with the lettuce. How do you get all three to the other side?

Since nobody has correctly answered this one yet:

Do I win?

Aidinthel:

Voiceless it cries,
Wingless flutters,
Toothless bites,
Mouthless mutters.

He's a parachutist. His parachute never opened and he fell onto the rock, which killed him.

Heres mine:
A dead man lies on the ground with a strange suit. The suit has a hole in it. If there where something attached to the hole the man would be alive. What's the mans profesion???

Here's an easy one that took me a minute or two to figure out:

A man is looking at a portrait. "Whose picture is that?" someone asks, and the man replies: "Brothers and sisters have I none, but that man's father is my father's son." At whose picture is the man looking?

Riddle:If there are three cups of sugar and you take one away, how many do you have?

yes

Wait... I still don't get it? :P

Adam and Eve are lying dead on the floor to a house. All the doors to the house are locked and the only way to enter into the house is through an open window. There are shards of broken glass and water on the floor.

How did Adam and Eve die?

Here's one I heard from my father once:

A dead man is lying in a desert, nude, with an unlit match near his hand. A few hundred meters away from him is a big mountain range stretching far away in both directions. How did the man die, and why?
