I named my sister's dog Bob Marley. Although we just call him by Marley, but his full name is Bob Marley. Funny story about how he got named that way. My mom had wanted to call him Bobby, hilarity ensues about names and we were reminded of the movie "Marley and Me" next thing you know my sister mentions Marley would be perfect and I decide to "compromise" and mention Bob Marley.

My one cat Leeloo is simultaneously named after Milla Jovovich's character from The Fifth Element and a terrible, terrible pun: Milla's character in the film is "the perfect woman"; my kitty Leeloo is "the purrfect cat".

The best part is that it was my parents idea to name her that - huzzah for geek families!

i used to have this stray that we rescued but had to put her down cause she was part coyote, and when i found that out i decided to name her Lobo after a wolf in a short story that i can't remember the title of.

I named my cat Anakin. I spent weeks trying to think of a less nerdy name, but Anakin just fit to well. Anakin was a pretty badass cat, he woke my diabetic grandfather up when he was low on sugar, he looked both ways before crossing the street, and he even attempted to clean up his vomit and open doors. Then a god damn cougar ate him, but I assume he took it with him.

i know im going to breed cats once i get my own place so my female will probably be named kairi and the male will be name sora and if i for some reason get a dog he will be name riku... i like kingdom hearts a lot.
