like the title says, What is your all-time favorite album? not artist, album.

mine is Demon Days by Gorillaz.

before Demon Days, i had never (and still haven't) found an album where i've liked EVERY song on it. it's also one of the few albums i also own a physical copy of, along with my Boston vinyls.

Pearl Jam - The Lost Dogs

It has my all time favourite song on it, Yellow ledbetter, aswell as a variety of other amazing music.

It changes, depends on my mood, at the moment I'd have to say Talk About Weather by Red Lorry Yellow Lorry. Classic album from around the first wave of goth bands. Though, I'd contend with them being tagged as a goth band, they do have a rather dark sound.
It's a relentless album.

It's between two for me (I'm cheating, but so what).

Either The Last Resort by Trentemoller

Or Airdrawndagger by Sasha

Trentemoller is undoubtably the better artist, but Sasha's stuff excites me more. I strongly suggest anyone who's into house/dub/electronica, etc, to check out these two albums.

Probably...

(R.I.P.)

I like every song on it and officially made me a Muse fan.

Either Moby's Play...

... or Weezer's self title first album (also later known at the Blue Album).

Why yes, I am a kid of the nineties. Why do you ask? <_<

Daft Punk: Alive 2007

I dare say that without this masterpiece I would be a whole different person, I used to listen to it twice a day and it never ever ever got old.

The Beatles.
Sgt. Peppers lonely hearts club band.

Good Mourning by Alkaline Trio, Crash Love by AFI, Permission to Land by The Darkness, or Appeal to Reason by Rise Against.

Low content mod filler nommy nom.

Not sure, i'm torn between Demon Days and AC/DC's Back In Black.
Both are stand out albums.
Demon Days has more variety but i'm not a fan of 'White Light' or 'All alone'.
Back In Black, whilst i like all of the songs, gets a bit 'samey' if i listen to it all in one go now.
I think, on balance i have to go with Back In Black just because... but wait...
The remastered collection of Led Zeppelin 'Mothership' does that count? Two CDs worth of pure awesome. Most of it was taken from one album so i'll go with that.

Radiohead's OK Computer.

Every song on this album is a gem.

It used to be Stunt by Barenaked Ladies, but honestly the album I have blasting in my car more than anything else these days is Press X to Rock by The Escapists own Miracle of Sound.

Ooh now there's a tough question, I'd say it's a tough one between 3 no wait! 4! Wow, I'll never be able to wittle it down.

Anyway the first 4 that came to mind are: 'Whatever You Say I Am, That's What I'm Not' by Arctic Monkeys, 'Is This It' by The Strokes, 'Moving Pictures' by Rush and 'Weekend in the City' by Bloc Party.

I love every song on each of them and must've listened to all of them an insane amount of times total.

Gotta agree with this guy. If I had a second it'd be the original Gorillaz album,

The Great Annihilator by Swans.

An album that is both frighteningly dark and ethereally beautiful; The Great Annihilator is a moving mix of post-punk, industrial, neo-folk and various other influences unlike anything out there. I have listened to this album for years now and like a fine wine, it only gets better with age. My favorite album of all time, it would be one hell of an accomplishment for anything to ever top this.

It has got to be Vaginas In the Attic by Autistic Super Cunt. Best R&B I have ever heard.

Ooooh, good choice OP. That's way up there. However...

Mine is a three way.

All fantastic, and I could never pick one above the other. The best three albums of all time for me.

Quite easily Appetite For Destruction by Guns N' Roses.

Though there are plenty others that I like all of the songs on

Mine is Yankee Hotel Foxtrot by Wilco

Most of the tracks have a traditional folk/folk-rock sound, but with a undertone of chaos that sometimes threatens to explode and sabotage the song. That comfort-chaos dynamic still mesmerizes me, even after listening to the album so much.

Linkin Park: Meteora

One of the hardest questions ever, but this is definitely up there:

Alter Bridge - Blackbird
This album was very inspiring for me.

The Classic Crime: Albatross.

image

Most probably this one...

and maybe this one too...

Absolute classics in every sense of the word.

THE LAST KIND WORDS, BY DEVILDRIVER!!!

Sigh no more by Mumford and sons. Or any albums by muse.

I really couldn't choose.
My top albums would be:
The Clash - London Calling
Rush - Moving Pictures
Biffy Clyro - Puzzle
Rancid - ...And Out Come The Wolves
The Gaslight Anthem - The '59 Sound
Gallows - Orchestra Of Wolves
Mastodon - Crack The Skye
Every Time I Die - New Junk Aesthetic

I really wish I could shorten that but I can't. I love them all equally.

EDIT:

JemothSkarii:
Good Mourning by Alkaline Trio, Crash Love by AFI, Permission to Land by The Darkness, or Appeal to Reason by Rise Against.

Low content mod filler nommy nom.

All good choices! Goood Mourning is also my favourite Trio album. Crash Love was definitely a stronger album than Decemberunderground although not nearly as good as Black Sails or Sing The Sorrow (in my opinion). Permission To Land blew me away when I was a young'un. Appeal To Reason is definitely my favourite Rise Against album (the newest one is pretty shoddy).

This is kind of an impossible question to answer. There are so many different variables: mood, weather, time etc.

I guess in general I will say that my favourite would be the Arctic Monkeys debut "Whatever you say I am, that's what I'm not." It's an amazing album, and although I don't listen to it as much as I used to, it's still amazing.

Other favourites of mine are DJ Fresh - Escape from Planet Monday and Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon.

Something like this is hard to choose for me, so I'll just post a couple.

....I like The Smashing Pumpkins.

Jazoni89:

*snip*

I applaud your taste, sir.
For me it's probably Hospice by The Antlers or Radiohead's In Rainbows.

My all time favorite album is

Days of Future Passed by the Moody Blues.

Its a great album that works as a whole piece of music instead of just a bunch of songs that happen to be on the same record.

Alive 2007 is a great album as well, but I think that's cheating because its a live performance. :)

This album is fucking awesome. I listened to it virtually non-stop in middle school and I still love it now.
