If you could instantly gain one REALISTIC ability?

Telekinesis....what? That's realistic! It could happen! :P

In case that's not real enough for you, I'd take having an in-depth/masterful knowledge of computers so I could diagnose and fix my own damn computer problems.

Being polyglot and able to speak any language i desire.

12 PhDs and ninja-like experience and training.

I'd be... Batman.

Parkore. 'Nuff said.

Amazing musical abilities. Preferably on the guitar and piano.

I was going to say mastery of Bass guitar but then where is the challenge for the rest of my life? I'll take mastery of piano. Such an amazing instrument that I struggle to wrap my head around.

the ability to not get bored with something. I quit so many activities just b/c i got bored with doing the same thing over and over.

Photographic memory. Would mean I'd have to spend less time on re-reading stuff and more time on working with it and understanding it.

Can't jellyfish die though?

yeah but there's a species that pretty much regenerates himself when he's at old age - pretty much rebirth himself

Linky

Thats neat, but what I meant is that they can be killed, murdered essentially. Re-birthing is great but that doesn't mean that you can not die if your caught in a blaze.

I want to be damn good at science. Just science in general, as it covers a lot of things.

I'd go with an eidetic memory. Because that's the biggest upgrade I can think of that would stay in the normal range of human biology that would also mean I'd still be me. I think of an improved memory as being, like, changing the hard drive on a computer.

That's partly my reasoning for not asking for heightened intelligence or an instant collection of degrees, but mostly I think an upgraded memory seems less like cheating.

They're not immortal^^ of course they won't survive a gunshot wound or hurled spear through the center, but in theory if they just keep out of trouble and stay away from those bad underwater neighbourhoods that jellyfish can survive until the sun goes b00m on us. After that we're all fucked.

...I want to have better hand-eye co-ordination. Basically, no more dispraxia.

Capcha: As you wish. If only, Capcha. If only.

Fucking Language skills, Know all languages in the world, Move to another country adopt new name, win

Auron225:
There are lots of threads asking what superpower would you want the most - so for curiosity sake, I'll ask - What ability would you want to gain that is already possible? Maybe to master a particular instrument? Know a language? To be really good at a sport? A university degree (not just the certificate but all the knowledge as well)? No flying or invisibility or anything like that, something real.

For me it would to be fluent in Afrikaans - I have my reasons ;) Second choice would be to have an awesome singing voice.

A deep understanding of how the mind works. I would then use my new founded abilities to make a new reality in my mind and live (in the mental sense) as long a possible. (that is if it's even possible)

the ability to create powerful vacuums between my handpalms or footsoles and whatever surface they touched at will, so I could actually climb anywhere I want just like a fly could...but better.

this would be achieved through some special kind of gloves or brain-stimulated implants.

or super-powered pheromones, if the former isn't possible.

CAPTCHA: nut case
why you...!

The ability to stay calm, no matter what.

The ability to find a cure for Diabetes. Not being able to feel ones feet amongst other problems really sucks.

super knowlege on school subjects

the ability to put my new found programming skills to good use, like a job

Peak physical condition, and I wouldn't mind being a bit taller.

FernandoV:
Be adept at math at a P.H.D level, but not super-adept because I'd still like to smoke weed and not win Nobel Prizes.

There's no Nobel Prize for maths, so you don't have to worry about that.

I would like to be able to play some musical instruments with expertise. Probably piano, guitar and cello, at least.

Be the best hockey player ever. I would play for the Calgary Flames and lead us to victory in the Stanley Cup Playoffs 20 seasons in a row.

The ability to use a bow and arrow.

Because Hunger Games and shit.

Eternal life.

Don't say it isn't realistic, those jellyfish have it.

Those jellyfish cheated god, now they must pay for their hubris.

Big stupid jellyfish.

Ssshh...they'll hear you and send in the little Jellyfish...you know the ones; the ones that can murder you to death. Being able to murder dudes with a single touch would be fun but it would probably get me into trouble.

So as for my ability...fluency in several languages (Norwegian, Korean, Japanese and, German). From there I'll just whore myself to the U.N. and various tourists. Or take up a job translating things for other countries.

I'm fairly certain they've already paid for their crimes by being 99% water, and having no brains, or anus. And being like that, forever because they're fucking immortal!

OT: I'd like to become skilled at playing the guitar, or drawing.

The ability to predict any and all lottery numbers 24 hours before the drawing.

To have enough motivation to get shit done. The rest is cake.

You should play for the Canadiens instead.

On that note, to live long enough to see Half Life 3.

Your quizz awards are... ironic, mr. Blasto

OT: Having the highest IQ on earth. Turning my pleasent 160 into 260. Hell yeah.

Extremely high intelligence

I don't know which I'd rather have - to be able to do parkour (sp?) or read and speak fluent Japanese. I think I'd go with the Japanese since then I can understand game trailers that are in Japanese, read manga as soon as it's released (and not rely on translations that the quality of said translations vary), watch anime w/o having to have subtitles on, and a trip to Japan wouldn't pose much of a problem for me (except for that whole 'that cost money' thing).

The ability to fully master the art of fighting with a pair of blades.

Surrounded by enemies? At least I have a second weapon to distract you with!

Social skills so good I can practically read minds (mwahahaha)
