Most disturbing TV episodes?

 Pages 1 2 NEXT

This thread was sparked off by me watching a ridiculously horrific scene in Silent Witness of a man sodomising another man before murdering him. It was horrible.
So, what pieces of TV disturbed you the most? Can be anything, fire away. Also, if anyone else saw Silent Witness just now, I'd be pleased to hear your thoughts.
Not much else disturbs me, in all honesty. However, there's something about sadism and rape that I find absolutely disgusting. Hell, that scene from Deliverance stayed with me for hours afterwards.

The token-fanservice episodes in animes... when someone you know sees you watching one...

Was watching Gurren Lagaan with a friend in school and we were on the bath house episode, another friend walks over and sees laptop.

I watched the kiss x sis anime . I can't believe they air this stuff on tv in japan . Seriously , it's about two sisters than wanna fuck their brother ....Yeah.

It was some sort of caught on tape kitchen show.
A angry worker ejaculated into a jug in the kitchen, mustard? ketchup? who knows but Ill never think the same again about restaurants.

An episode of Wakfu.
It's a saturday morning kind of cartoon. Kids' show.

However, in one episode they tell the life story of a guy. He has some problems as a kid, and grows up to be the best fighter around. As an adult, his wife and only daughter are kidnapped and murdered to bring him out.
He kills his family's murderer, and thus finds that the murderer was possessed by a spirit that now possesses him.
This is all shown in graphic detail with lots of blood and they even show the corpses of his daughter and wife.

I really enjoy Criminal Minds, but occasionally they go a little over the top on the violence for my taste.

Silent Witness. Both the most disturbing, and yet longest running, prime time Drama on the BBC. You think it's all sipping tea and Doctor Who over here? Wrong. We lust for blood and we will do unspeakable things to you. *grins*

Don't believe me, check out Waking the Dead too? We kept that shit running for 10 seasons.

From the new Battlestar Galactica series called "Pegasus", it starts off on a happy note but it just spins out of control and the last half I refuse to watch to this day on how disturbing it get's and how angry it makes me. It's not pretty and I should have know it was gonna be bad when Sci-Fi threw out a warning before coming back to the episode.

Moral Orel Season 3 Episode 4 "Alone"

I'm not sure what happened to cause the tonal shift in this season of the show but it went from a lighthearted mockery of insufferable christian children's entertainment to a dark and somewhat biting satire of the moral failings of the moral majority.

This particular episode focuses on short stories revolving around three ancillary female characters. The segments involving Miss Sculptham and Ms. Censordoll are creepy and disturbing in and of themselves but it's the segment with Nurse Bendy that always leaves me a little uncomfortable.

In the first two seasons Nurse Bendy is treated as a comic relief bimbo character. The running gag is that she's not very bright and that the only reason she's kept around is sex.

Her segment in this episode shows that having been essentially sexually abused through her entire life she's developed a childlike world view of what a happy family should be.

In her private moments she retreats into this "Donna Reed" fantasy using her stuffed animals as a proxy for a loving husband and child.
The whole segment ends with an innocent mistake causing the father bear to fall on top of her in a "suggestive" fashion which just shatters the poor woman's already fragile reality.

The segment ends with Nurse Bendy crying in the corner horrified that her one little piece of security...imaginary though it may be, has proven to be just like all the other men in her life.

It'sa bit of a punch in the gut.

I saw "Home", from season 4 of The X-Files last night.
It covers, in order....
-Infanticide
-Incest
-A couple being bludgeoned to death in their own home

The infant, found buried in a shallow grave, is discovered when stepped on by a kid playing baseball with his friends.
Oh, did I mention that the newborn was buried alive?

It was especially shocking seeing as how I'd just watched Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil right before.

There's a scene in The Shield where one of the main characters, David, gets mouth-raped at gun-point.

Animals of Farthing wood was a late 90's cartoon about some animals off to find a new home after theirs is detroyd by humans

half the charachters die and baby mice get impaled on spikes

Most of the really good twilight zone episodes. "shadow play", "to serve man", "the Thirty-fathem grave" are some good, creepy ones.

I've seen most grim films/TV shows and not a lot affects me any more. I do remember being a bit freaked out by.... I got nothing. I guess I'm just immune now.

Enjoy your innocence everyone :3

There was a episode of House (possibly from Season 2)

It was about a super model, later revealed that she had sex with her father and in the end turns out that she was a he with serious birth defect.

It was a serious mess.

Sexual Harassment Panda:

Oh that was fun. Like that episode where the serial rapist who marks his victims with a butterfly tattoo raped a small girl.

That series is dark man.

CODE-D:

Well as they say, Ignorance is bliss. That's freaking gross though.
On topic: Some of those gross Tosh.O segments. I remember one where a dude vomited dozens of whole noodles. Ugh!

Every second of "Jackass." EVER.

NinjaDeathSlap:
Don't believe me, check out Waking the Dead too? We kept that shit running for 10 seasons.

It series not seasons, and waking the dead is a low rent csi

Vault101:

The version of star fleet we got was better as you saw main characters and cannon fodder die horribly in most episodes. Also it mid 90's Animals of Farthing wood was on :D.

Hm. I'd have to say the most disturbing episode ever is of something that doesn't even exist; the Candle Cove series.

I love me some literal Creepypasta.

I gotta go with The X-Files episode 'Home" as well. It's uh, not pretty.

What caused it was Dino's life kicked him in the balls, and he made the fucked-up season 2 ending. Then Williams Street said "holy shit dude, that was awesome. make season 3 as DARK AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE"
They got what they asked for. That's why season three is so short. And it's some of the best television ever produced

I'm a horrible monster, and morel oral season three makes me CRY. I love it

Invader Zim is one of my favorite animated series, and anyone who watched it knows that Jhonen Vasquez is one twisted individual. Most people look to the episode "Dark Harvest" as the darkest, with all the organ stealing.

However, the episode that freaked me when I was a kid was the Halloween episode. Jhonen really let loose his demented imagination with this one. The design of so many creatures in that episode scared me shitless when I was younger.

On another note, I used to think Robot Chicken was a pretty funny dark comedy sketch show. But since the third season, I've seen enough bad masturbation jokes, domestic violence, and enough raping of childhood 80's/90's properties that not even your typical rule34 can compare to.

Indeed. It may be disturbing but it's still some of the best television I've seen in a long time.

I'll admit that Season 3 is honestly some of the best television I've seen in a long time.

The reason it's disturbing is because of how real it is. For all the cartoony nonsense that happens in Orel, its cast is some of the most depressingly human figures ever. The whole show is dark, and once it get worse, it is SO MUCH WORSE. In fact, I immediately motion for Moral Orel to replace The Crow as the ultimate goth video symbol.

Just finally watched Home. I've seen much more disturbing things, and anyone who was freaked out by that never watched movies saturday afternoons on UPN.

DARKEST SKETCH! DARKEST SKETCH!

But yeah, if Zim made you lose your shit, NEVER OH DOG NEVER pick up his comics. Johnny will leave you weeping if you were freaked by Halloween

Hummm hard to say episodes but i have to say part of American Horror Story got pretty fucked up, here let just say every episode that heavily feature the fetish suite, yeah most of those had rather graphic ideas.

Oh yeah also i recommend this series very highly, go fuckn' see it

You can't ever see Mr Hooper again Big Bird. When a person dies they are gone forever.

Game of Thrones tonight was pretty twisted. Spoilers below, you have been warned.

I think it was season four of The Wire. It was the season that followed a group of kids and how life in the streets of Baltimore is for them. The finale of that season had a few heartbreaking moments.

There are some bright spots, but it's just the way you see the cycle continue that is heartbreaking. That's the lasting impression.

the aqua teen hunger force episode where they make a dog *shutters*

also the adventure time episode with the creepy deer

image

The X-Files. the Erlenmeyer Flask. At a time when I fall asleep with the sounds of Jason, Freddy and Michael happily slaughter innocent people, this episode kept me up at night.

Also Morel Orel, the one where Morel discovers the wonders of masturbation, but when he finds out its a sin, he finds a loophole around it.

The last 30 seconds of the season 3 finale of Breaking Bad was pretty fucking hard to watch.

Also episode 5 from season 6 of 24. I can't watch the end of that episode anymore.

Vault101:

The animal that performed this act was appropriately named 'butcher bird', too.

OT: An episode of the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon where you see Hank's face melt off. That show could be pretty fucking dark.

There's an episode of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex where a US ex-soldier moves to Japan and becomes a serial killer. He kills young (early twenties) women by seducing them, getting them naked then cutting their torso skin off in the shape of a t-shirt. All the while he's forcing the video feed from his eyes into theirs, he also records either his or her view of the ordeal so he can distribute them later. Then he just leaves them to die a slow and agonising death.

It's one of the most graphic and disturbing episodes of that series, but it's also really well made and just... works

I still appreciate that show for killing most of the cast and not talking down to me
