Favorite Star Trek Ship?

Across all Star Trek, which vessels are your favorite designs? Right now, I'm watching Deep Space Nine, and I love the huge amount of ships that show up in the Dominion War. So many cool designs that are rarely used in favor of the Galaxy Class or the Excelsior.

Right now, I think my favorites are either the Akira Class or the Nebula Class. Their low profiles make them look heavier and more combat ready than a Galaxy or Intrepid.

Which ships are your favorites? Are you a fan of the various Enterprises, or do you like the less well known designs better?

Before you asked, I'm not a Trekkie per say and I only stumble upon this class when my school library had a Star Trek Atlas type of book.
My favourite Class is the Norway-

I supose I've always liked the way the Voyager looked. It has this Manta ray fishy feeling to it.

I always felt that the Intrepid Class would look better if it's Warp Nacelles were longer than the tiny stubs it stuck with.

the akira class is damn good. ive always liked the look of the miranda class and sabre classes. otherwise my ship of choice would be the prometheus class

I love the Nebula. Yeah, it's just a reassembled Galaxy, but it just looks so much better, in my opinion. Though the Galaxy is my second favorite ship, so I might be a bit biased toward the kit in general.

The main problem I had with the Galaxy Class is how flat the rear section is. Of course, this was fixed with the refit shown in the series finale.

The third Warp Nacelle fills the gap perfectly.

The Constitution class (refitted) is badass in the extreme. The Intrepid class is my second favorite Starfleet ship.

Outside of the Federation the Klingon Bird of Prey is my favorite.

I've always liked the Excelsior, but not sure why. It's the closest thing to an AK-47 of ships, the design supposedly being about a century old.

I like the Runabouts. They're cool little assault shuttle-y things, and I like dropship-type vehicles.
As far as full-sized ships go, the 1701-E is my favorite Enterprise. The Galaxy class always looked a little silly to me, but the Enterprise E looks great. Shame it's only shown up for a couple of kinda mediocre films.

I agree.

Also, as a side note, why are the ships on star trek designated 'USS'? Shouldn't it be FSS or something?

even though it is never shown other then one calendar and some fan art. I vote the 'Universe' class Enterprise J. Mentioned once in 'Enterprise'. I like the Idea of a several mile long generational ship where people are born, raised, schooled, and serve on board, exploring other Galaxies.

Though for raw style points I would say the Nova class.

I don't know what class it is but I like the Defiant...for the reason that they have a damned cloak. Fuck this treaty and all the other groups having cloaks but the federation not allowed to have one.

The Defiant is the flagship of the Defiant Class ship. Damn powerful for such a small vessel.

Always been a fan of the NX-01 from Enterprise. So much so that I have a huge model of it in my room, though I still need to put the lights in it.
