A little while ago a guy named Satoshi Kawazama created a study on the levels of attractiveness between races, when it came to men he said results were basically average for all races. But when it came to women he said that white and asain women are substantially more attractive, native american women are somewhat average and black women are the LEAST attractive.

Obviously this sparked a lot of anger, nobody likes being called ugly and there were tons of videos adressing the subject from a number of different people (of all races) generally stating that the study was a load of horseshit.

but there is still some missing bits of honesty here, I thought it over myself and while i dont agree with the study it does seem like there are virtually no black women in the media who are seen as attractive/sex symbols. Nicki minaj, Halle Berry, Beyonce, Naomi Campbell, alcia Keys are all beautiful women but also all very MIXED not black by a stretch regardless of the consesus toward biracial appearance.

Looking for actual attractive black women in hollywood is actually quite difficult. Gabrielle union, Kerry washington and tyra banks were the best i could find and even trya has a shit load of surgery to look more european (look at her child pics, she looks like a different person)

Also there is a lack of Asian Men seen as attractive in western media, which leads some to believe that Asian Men and Black Women hook up with each other because they are the 'least wanted' out of all the races (type in AMBW in youtube and see what i mean)

Im not saying i generally beleive any of this and im not brainwashed by the media, but on a very large scale on TV, Movies even the internet forums (hot girls thread) there is definatley an imbalance so Id just like to ask for some honest opinions on racial attractivenes.

Remember having a racial prefrence does not make you racist.

It seems that if you're a white guy who breathes, defecates and eats then you're being racist in someone's eyes these days. Disregard all who throw the race card at preferences.

To be honest I'm not really un-attracted to a particular race, except for possibly black women, and I only say that because all the black women I think are attractive are mixed, (generally). I find it odd that there are guys who say they are not attracted to a certain race at all, (ie not a single person in that ethnicity), but I don't judge.

^^TimeLord, regardless of separating what you find attractive by racial group being logical, it does happen. One can only speculate on the significance of this.

It is very true that white is seen as being more attractive than everyone else, and there's a tendency to only include the most white looking not-white people in that category, often to the extent of "white but, like, exotic" rather than not white.

However, that's just a cultural thing. Beauty standards shift over time. Not too long ago, the European idea of a beautiful woman had much more body fat than nowdays. Hell, 60 years ago, the ideal woman as seen by the mass western media had curves, nowdays borderline anorexia is seen as sexy.

You can also see this in the way that styles of female lips have changed over the decades.

It'd be merely bizarre if it wasn't taken so seriously.

Let me start off by saying that attractiveness is entirely subjective (how the fuck can you do studies for something as subjective and immeasurable as attractiveness?), and there's a lot of Ebony porn out there for a reason.

Let me also continue by saying that I'm a heterosexual black male, and I don't find black women in general attractive at all. I'm not being racist or anything, but they just literally do nothing for me. Maybe that's because of me growing up in a predominantly white area in a white-dominated society where beauty was defined as being light-skinned, blonde-haired and blue/green-eyed. Aryan, master race, etc. Also, it could partly be due to my own insecurities about my race, heritage and appearance (maybe, I'm no sociologist), as well as the fact that, even if I was attracted to black women, I wouldn't date one because I'd rather not conform to stereotypes.

On a somewhat related note, if a black woman dyes their hair any other colour than their natural one (black), then they just look awful, sadly. Just doesn't contrast well at all. And, again, not being racist, but I don't think people tend to find somewhat big nose and lips attractive. Or at least, that's what society and the media (obviously a massive influence on the former) say.

Personally, I'm mainly attracted to white women. Secondly, Latino women. After that, Chinese/Japanese/Korean/maybe Thai women. Then general Asian (Indian, etc.) and mixed race (in the sense of being both black and white) are probably about the same. But they all have to be light-skinned and have "normal-sized" facial features (i.e. regardless of race, I prefer the aforementioned nose and lips to not be big, just average) to some degree for me to become aroused.

I do find my own race, i.e. Caucasian the most attractive in general. Won't lie about that. Probably something that's present in most people's genetic makeup.
Black or Asian mixed with Caucasian can produce some very good results as well though. In the end, it all comes down to the individual.

I find it hard not to believe men don't like curves on a woman. That it, for the large part, disappeared.

It may have something to do with the notion that skinny women look better at modelling clothing, (not necessarily in a sexual sense though), which makes people think that this is what society finds attractive, (which I guess it somewhat has done for some).

White male here and I generally only find Black Females to be attractive. Whites are so generic looking, asians generally too small chested for my want. Yeah black women are the only thing that do it for me. The darker the skin the better too. Beyonce is unattractive (too white looking). So it's not all black women.

Edit: I voted African American female and it put it in white female. This shit is rigged lol.

I've heard it argued, though, that excessively thin women look more vulnerable, more contrast with overly muscley ideas of masculinity or something.

I think asian women are more cute while african and latino women are more sexy in terms of appearence but that's just me. But for your poll I chose white females because I find it like a mixture of both.

Depends on your taste . I'm a black male , but i don't find black women attractive personally . I like my women white with a lot of weight .

Some of us (hopefully most of us) dont take race TOO seriously when considering beauty, but just because you dont, doesnt mean that other people do.

There is no unhot race, but for my personal preference I've found White Women to be the ones I like the most. I know it's a shocker, especially considering the poll, but it is what it is.

Attraction is rarely a logical affair.

White Males. I don't even know why this is, but I just don't find Asian or black guys all that attractive. There are exceptions but in general, I just don't find them attractive. Maybe my dick is just a racist, I dunno.

I, personally, am known as being of the Asian Persuasion.

However, I've seen plenty of Asian girls I don't find attractive, it's just that when I see one I do find attractive... wow.

I guess all this study shows is that the skinny body type is still in vogue for the majority of people, and that black girls tend to (on average, not generalising) have a curvier body type.

Generally I find myself more attracted to Caucasian women. Either that or oriental women. It's not that I'm not open to the idea of an attractive black women, but many of the black women I've seen have had excessively oversized lips and I find that really unattractive.

Edit: To be more specific, Korean for women and Euorpean for men. I won't put a woman in better standing just because she is from Korea, I just find that, in general, I find them more attractive than people of other ethnicities. It's not a rule or requirement, just a trend.

Ontopic: almost all women I've been very much attracted to are caucasian or asian. As always there are exceptions of course. But there you have it.

Another one for white females here. Not to say there aren't attractive females of any other races, but I've just seen more white females that I consider to be attractive than I have of any other race.

I went to high school with a lot of Asians. I developed a fondness for Asian girls during those years, which stuck with me for awhile. But now? I don't really have a preference. Attractiveness fluctuates too much from person to person for me to say I find any particular race preferable. When I think about, say, celebrities I find appealing they're are all caucasian women, but it would be erroneous to say I think caucasians are the most beautiful women on the planet as a rule.

By the way, I think it's worth mentioning that society as a whole is overly obsessed with beauty. I know I'm stating the obvious, but you'd be surprised at how many young black and Asian girls bleach their skin and undergo severe plastic surgery (some Asians even do...stuff...to their eyes to open them up in an attempt to look Caucasian) just so they're seen as beautiful in society's eyes. It's fucking horrible.

And people say that it's not a white man's world anymore. Hilarious. Not bashing anyone here or anything, but the people that are ignorant of this kind of stuff seem to be the same guys that are like, "Wait a second, women still don't have gender equality yet? And racism still goes on? Holy shit!"

Just want to ask one quick question. Presumably, pansexuals would have no racial preference at all, right? Since they have the capacity to be attracted to anyone.

As a White Male, I tend to feel most attracted to White Females.

Although I find women from places like Spain or thereabouts in the Mediterranean pretty smexy too.

That same study was pulled by it's publisher who admitted to not having reviewed it beforehand after several methodological criticisms were brought up. Just sayin'.

I have greater exposure to white men due to Western media's extremely poor representation of minorities, so the majority of the guys I would think of are white. However, the majority of the guys I find unattractive are also white by an equally large margin. I would go further to suggest that there isn't a large enough sample size of famous Asian men or black men from which I could draw meaningful conclusions. Because that's how I roll. Maybe we should work harder on fixing the sample size issue?

Polynesian men (evolutionarily distinct from East Asians) are similarly underrepresented. Only one I can think of is The Rock who is generally thought of as black.

Straight white male here. I've always found ladies from China/Japan/Korea/etc. to be attractive but I generally end up finding Caucasian ladies win out in the end. The only ladies that I very rarely find physically attractive are black.
