I don't have a race preference. I have found men of every race attractive at some point.

I don't really have a preference, and I wouldn't like to be pigeonholed into saying that yes, I do find that there's a very slim basis on which I find this or that racial phenotype to be more appealing than others - largely because it wouldn't be true.

I've been attracted to Black and White women. I've had to admit that some Asian dudes have a certain air to them, and I do have a bit of a penchant for redheads. Don't ask me why. People are attractive based on elements that have nothing to do with their origin or the color of their skin. To me, it's more a case of how their body comes alive, how their personality shines through. Somewhat intellectual sorts get to me, so I've been attracted to a wide radius of female forms.

As hetero as I am, I have to admit I used to have a man-crush on Daniel Dae Kim, during his tenure on LOST. He just seems like an awesome guy; and that's coming from a guy that couldn't possibly be more White.

So the idea that there might be some kind of lasting racial bias kind of irks me. I can accept that parts of our lizard brain are still going "BLACKS WITH BLACKS, WHITES WITH WHITES, DURR!", but that's an isolationist attitude that needs to go. Genetically, the most healthy thing that can happen to the human race is a whole damn lot of mixing.

I mean, look at dogs. Refine a single breed for too long and a ton of problems start cropping up. Mongrels might not have the defining characteristics of established breeds, but they have an almost guaranteed greater level of health.

I'm bisexual, and I have far more of a racial preference in males than I do in females--I pretty strongly prefer caucasian males, but for females it's far less intense overall. That being said, I do find Indian (subcontinent, not Native American) girls pretty damn attractive.

Yeah, I fucking hate it when some people assume that, just because I'm black, I'd automatically be attracted to black women or prefer them to white women for whatever reason. I remember a while ago, some guy genuinely said that I'd work well in a relationship with some black girl I barely ever talked to, seemingly on the sole basis that we were both black, to which the girl just blew up at him and said, "Oh, just because we're both black, we're suddenly a great match for each other? Fuck off."

I found that amusing, and I'd probably class what that guy said as racism, or to pick a somewhat less emotionally charged word, prejudice. Pretty much all discrimination is bad, whether it's "You shouldn't hit girls" or "Black guys love their fried chicken".

Maybe they've been listening to too much hip-hop music or watching too much The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, because that's certainly not what it's like in real-life. At least, not for everyone. I think it mostly depends on which race dominates where you live in. So a white heterosexual man born and raised in Africa would have no choice but to date a black women, just like an Indian heterosexual woman born and raised in Germany would likely prefer white men.

I can see how someone could be conditioned one way or another to subconsciously find certain characteristics more attractive than others. Given how that the media tends to play a role in socializing individuals, you might come to suspect that lack of non-whites on your tv screens may cause someones guts responses to be slanted in some ways. I also see how much larger influences around could also create some of these preferences. This has been documented in psychological and sociological research, previously.

Personally, I find all of humanity's documented racial make-ups to have physically attractive characteristics so this has not been a problem for me.

Not really racist so much as just a stupid comparison. Fire ants and wood ants are in different genera, much less different species. It's a terrible comparison. You do see dog breeds intermixing all the time though, when left to their own devices. And you would see different species of fire ants not mating.

Not quite. Pansexuals - like everyone else - tend to be on something of a spectrum. They often do have preferences, especial likes or dislikes just like everyone else.

There are better comparisons out there I know but I'm not going to do research just to prove a point on a gaming website. I'm just saying this from what I've seen. Every mixed person I know doesn't know or speak to one of their parents because their parents' marriage didn't work out. On top of that, they don't even know what ethnicity they are. I always thought identity crisis' were a pile of crap until I met some of these people. It's in our nature to be attracted to our own people. I have been living in England all my life but I have only dated an English girl once. I would just rather stick to my own people. There is no social/racial/ethnic barriers in a same ethnicity relationship. There are no extra obstacles for the couple to overcome.

Growing up, I didn't find them attractive at all. Not even a little bit. Save for those random crushes that people tell me about that I don't remember. For some time, I used to say matter of factly that I didn't find black men attractive.

You can imagine it got my family all worked up and worried. Now, I find them attractive. But when I picture meeting someone that I'd settle down with, a black man isn't the first thing I picture.

Anyway, this is just me saying I'm not voting 'cause I have no preference.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so this is a very tricky question because some people do in fact look for racial similarity in a mate. But I think it has very little to do with what you find attractive as an overall decision since there are a billion other factors that come into play. I know we are based on visuals but personality does have a huge impact i believe. A nice rack always helps with me =P.

Black people of either sex (or neither) have never been the least bit attractive to me. In fact, I find black skin (not a little dark or coffee coloured, but black or dark brown) to be a massive turn off. No clue why... Have always wanted to work that one out.

But on topic: I find white men and women the most attractive, followed by Asian or Islander women, such as Japanese. The only men I find physically sexual is Caucasian, really.

I don't really have a preference, but all women I have been attracted to in real life have been white, but that's more because of how there are mainly white people where I live.

I guess I'd find Asian women attractive, but more because I have a thing for petite women.

By the way, I think it's worth mentioning that society as a whole is overly obsessed with beauty. I know I'm stating the obvious, but you'd be surprised at how many young black and Asian girls bleach their skin and undergo severe plastic surgery (some Asians even do...stuff...to their eyes to open them up in an attempt to look Caucasian) just so they're seen as beautiful in society's eyes. It's fucking horrible.

Do bear in mind some of this is more to do with traditional ideas of beauty such as pale skin and large eyes then a western fetish.

Speaking anecdotally I've heard of quite a few western women not being regarded as attractive in China, being seen as way too fat.
