A new Avenger Pages 1 2 NEXT
They're talking about an Ant-Man film, but I'd rather see a Wasp movie to be honest. Also, I'd love to see them tie the X-Men continuity to the Avengers continuity, but that's unlikely and would be too difficult to successfully do. Finally, I so desperately want to see a Runaways film, and maybe introduce a few other minor characters, building up over time to a full on Civil War event for Avengers 3...
Unfortunately Marvel doesn't own the rights to the X Men right now for movie purposes but I agree, seeing Wolvering stand next to Iron Man would be bad ass.
Let's get some Heroes for Hire on the go.
It's gotta be the one and only Hank Pym! My favourite Marvel character and all-around awesome character.
And yes, I need a Runaways film in my life. It's the comic that got me into Marvel!
After watching the movie bob review, I think a Doctor Strange film would actually work in the right hands.
I was thinking more of Qucksilver and Scarlet Witch since those two were in the team in the early years. If that is the case than Ant Man got to be in it so that Ultron can be the villain while in the same time he will create the Vision to add to the rooster aswell. Also I agree with Doctor Strange and Black Panther however I feel the people of Africa would be offended with Black Panther seeing how he is the ruler of a utopia like nation called Wakanda which is located right in Africa.
Well with those two (Wanda and Pietro) there is apparently a loophole where they could show up but they wouldn't be able to mention they are mutants.
Wakanda's utopian? I always hear of them having trouble from hunters and rival tribes and people after all that sweet, sweet Vibranium.
Have you seen the place itself? Apparently that place is somewhat hi tech and futuristic that they are years ahead to the rest of the world in terms of development (something North Korea can ever dream off). When you compare that place to the real places in African it can be somewhat insulting to them.
Wow your already tired of those characters.
No not tired. But I can't imagine the team being the exact same also would tear that team apart.
Since they've been talking about doing cosmic and magic stuff, I think Doctor Strange and Corsair and the Starjammers would be awesome, the latter solely because they are called the Starjammers. However, the latter is also very unlikely, as Corsair is Cyclops' dad. It would still make me happy however. Every time I think about new Marvel films the Starjammers are the first thing to come to mind other than Strange, Black Panther, and Luke Cage, and I don't think they'll be doing the latter two.
I really want a Dr. Strange movie, it would be pretty awesome to see The Sorcerer Supreme in action on the big screen. I think if they did a Wasp or Ant-Man movie they could do them together considering the fact that they have been together pretty much since their inception. Also, it seems that they are doing an Ant-Man movie, according to Imdb that is, but its not always the most reliable.
Civil War Movie would be pretty cool Maybe cos I just read it again
The Vision. Given what happens in Avengers it would make perfect sense what with
Id like to see war machine at least make an appearance . I mean how perfect would War machine have been in that alien invasion fight in the avengers movie. I'd also maybe like to see some slightly different heroes such as Luke cage or ironfist but they might be difficult to pull off .
Why would you do that to yourself? Ugh, Civil War was just awful in every way imaginable. That's exactly what we need on the big screen, Captain freaking America being told he is "out of touch" because he doesn't follow NASCAR.
Did you stick around until the clip mid-way through the credits? The odds of an Avengers sequel is almost definite - even discounting the fact that they make sequels to absolutely everything that does well these days. But I think that now they've combined them all together, any film with only one of them will feel like a spinoff. I'll probably still go see them but they wont feel as awesome =S EDIT: Apologies OP, I didn't read your post right and thought you were claiming the odds of an Avengers sequel was unlikely!
After seeing the mid credits seen I assumed that Doctor Strange would be the most likely new hero. Black Panther and Ant-Man just dont offer that much in a fight against
Best movie ever. I was kind of sad that War Machine never showed up though.
Black Panther and Luke Cage could hold a movie on their own. I would like to think Doctor Strange is capable too, but it has to be handle well. A script for his is extra hard... poorly done, its Sorcerer's Apprentice all over again. Either way, they will sure have to up the ante if Marvel goes with the spoiled villain.
Squeeze in Vision to round out the Arcade Roster, and Ms Marvel. Considering the TV shows in development, Cloak and Dagger, Jessica Jones (and Luke Cage with her) Mockingbird, and the Punisher would be great second String Cameos
well probably the new spiderman is coming. as are ghost rider and deathpool. they are getting or were recently in new movie. i don't know if any of these characters were part of the avengers in the comics, but i guess that this is the reason they are getting movies. for characters getting a new movie. i would love to see a movie with Taskmaster, but that will probably not happen, him not being a real hero and all. maybe he can get a villain role.
I'd really like to see Ant-man/Wasp movie. If there is one thing that disappoints me about the Avenger film is that ant-man/wasp were not members.
Ms Marvel And Wasp and Hank Pym (Giant Man or Ant Man, or both), and Black Panther, and Dr. Strange and... Y'know what just bring over all the heroes who've ever been on the team that Marvel hasn't sold the rights to. Oh, and War Machine, kinda suprised he wasn't in this one. I guess they figured they didn't need another guy in a high powered, armored suit. It's not like he could ever come in handy, right?
I want a Dr.Strange movie. Hell even toss in Brother VooDoo, and villain like Black Talon (the later gritty version). Luke Cage, Vision, and Black Panther would also be good. Captcha: foul smelling (I don't think captcha agrees with me)
Ive seen some hints that the next couple years of movies are mostly going to focus on the cosmic and magic sides of the Marvel universe. Though the two films i think need to be made the most right now is Doctor Strange and Deadpool. Of course Marvel wont agree with me, with Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 coming next year, but theres 2 unconfirmeds in 2014.
Runaways was actually supposed to be the other Marvel film released this year, but it was crammed in stasis so all of the attention could fall on Avengers.
Maybe the next overarching storyline should be Guardians of the Galaxy. In the movie universe's version, you have Gamera, Nova, Adam Warlock, Quasar, and Moon Dragon who brings along Drax as part of a package deal. Make the overreaching enemy everyone must fight either Korvac, Terrax, Anhillius, or some other cosmic threat that rarely visits Earth. Hell screw it. New continuity, new rules. Put Captain Mar-Vell in there as well.
Next Avengers movie should have Wasp, Ant-Man, Black Panther, Spider-Man, and Ms. Marvel. They could always sub out Hulk, Hawkeye, and Black Widow. They could also do an X-Men crossover with Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.
I'm not sure more Avengers is such a good idea. They really need the build up origin movies, otherwise the characters will feel really weak, or out of place with the all ready established characters. So that would mean they'd need their own movie, and which new Hero do you want to have their own origin movie?
I really hope they don't, I'm looking forward to where the current line of X-Men movies will be going. To clarify; I don't dislike the Avengers. I really enjoyed it, but I really loathe the internal logic of the Avengers. Magical McGuffin! Shit happens because we want it to! Anything Can Happen! Is really boring. X-Men would do much better on it's own.
Maybe they should get Batman to join the Avengers.
Uh...wait this is a joke right?
I hated the last few X Men movies. Origins was balls, almost as bad as X3. Also Fox owns mutants so we won't be ssing them any time soon.
I thought they had rebooted it with X-Men: First Class?

So after watching the Avengers last night, I have to say I am incredibly excited for Iron Man 3 and Thor 2. However I would be weary of an Avengers sequel with the same cast of heroes. Who would you like to see either have their own film and then join, or just show up in the sequel.
My vote would be for Wasp to just show up in Avengers 2 and for Black Panther to get his own movie.
