| I think whats needed is a pragmatic approach that takes from classic Avenger history, more recent comics and the stuff in the films. There's no reason to pick say Swordsman over Luke Cage because the former was an Avenger before him.
So off the top of my head: Ant-man/Giant-man/Yellowjacket and Wasp as pair would be cool. I hope Wasp is in the Edgar Wright movie. Luke Cage and/or Iron Fist. Both great characters. Luke Cage has really grown from his involvement in New Avengers instead of being a gimmick (like Spidey and Wolverine). The Vision would be cool, his origin might need some tinkering. How much of Ultron and the Original Human torch would need to be mentioned (Invaders movie anyone?) Ms Marvel/Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers). I really think Ms Marvel could be great. She'd probably need a movie that involved Mar-Vell but would be a great member. |

Cry Wolf: I'm not sure more Avengers is such a good idea. They really need the build up origin movies, otherwise the characters will feel really weak, or out of place with the all ready established characters. So that would mean they'd need their own movie, and which new Hero do you want to have their own origin movie?
I really hope they don't, I'm looking forward to where the current line of X-Men movies will be going.
To clarify; I don't dislike the Avengers. I really enjoyed it, but I really loathe the internal logic of the Avengers. Magical McGuffin! Shit happens because we want it to! Anything Can Happen! Is really boring. X-Men would do much better on it's own.
I hated the last few X Men movies. Origins was balls, almost as bad as X3. Also Fox owns mutants so we won't be ssing them any time soon.
I thought they had rebooted it with X-Men: First Class?
It was rebooted but Fox still owns them. I also hated First Class. |

Fuck Fox, and each to his own I suppose. |
| I'd like to see a female hero get added to the list, you know just to round things out. Give Black Widow a well-rounded female mate, a fellow arse-kicker to get a drink with after the fight.
And Black Panther would be awesome. Ant Man always struck me as bit of wiener. |
| Trivun: They're talking about an Ant-Man film
Please, God, no.
Thomas Guy: Unfortunately Marvel doesn't own the rights to the X Men right now for movie purposes but I agree, seeing Wolvering stand next to Iron Man would be bad ass.
Or even just establishing they existed in the same universe, which would be difficult with the rights issues. But yeah.
The staples being listed in this thread (Black Panther, Vision) and Cage/Iron Fist are top picks for me. Would love to see Spider-Man once the rights come home, too.
Althought honestly, I mostly want to see the core cast return for any new Avengers movie. |
| I've been watching EMH... and thus have decided that the world needs more Ant-man and Wasp. Also Black Panther, he's pretty cool. |
| I would rather let them keep the same cast of characters for the sequel, because that would mean that the movie could save time on establishing the new group dynamics and not having to give people info on the new character for people who didn't see their movie. that time saved could mean more of the movie could be focused on setting up and interesting plot and villain(s). |
| Thomas Guy:
CODE-D: Wow your already tired of those characters. I guess spiderman or whatever but I dont care.
No not tired. But I can't imagine the team being the exact same also
Spoiler: Click to ViewPHA+VGhhbm9zPC9wPg==
would tear that team apart.
In a straight brawl they would beat Thanos in most cases (weaker iterations of the team have beaten him down in straight forward combat before). Thanos isn't a threat because he's super duper powerful, he's also super duper intelligent... that's the real issue.
I'd like to see Hank Pym and Janet of course and eventually Vision. Black Panther is another must have classic. |
| Aris Khandr:
Cyntac Wong: Civil War Movie would be pretty cool
Maybe cos I just read it again
Why would you do that to yourself? Ugh, Civil War was just awful in every way imaginable.
That's exactly what we need on the big screen, Captain freaking America being told he is "out of touch" because he doesn't follow NASCAR.
Thank you. I am always shocked to see so many people on this site preaching Civil War. Anyone reading Marvel for any amount of time prior to the event will tell you all the things that were wrong with it. Yeah the art was amazing, but that's about as far as it goes. I can't even count the number of characters who's personalities were completely warped to tell that story, Mr. Fantastic being the biggest offender. |

Also the fact that instead of having an interesting debate about individual rights versus group safety it got twisted by various political viewpoints to act as a soapbox. Meaning it looked like war fought by idiots |
| It would be cool to see Wasp. I've loved seeing her in EMH, but it bothers me that she's written as almost completely useless despite that she should be just as powerful as (Gi)Ant-Man.
Maybe for once we could have Wasp as the superior fighter, since Ultimates has made it popular for her to be the source of Ant-Man's powers. |

It's interesting isn't it, her superpower is basically to be mildly annoying. But she's just so fun to watch so I don't care ^_^ |
| Let me put my thoughts into the form of a song: (Did someone say....Spiderman?)
Spiderman, Spiderman, Put him in the Avengers stan He'd spin his webs Any size He'd be the best In our eyes Look out, Here comes Andy Garfield
He would be A total boss He'd make RDJ look like Maurice Moss He'd Kick cap back to 42 And then he'd go, And smoke a zoot Look out, Here comes a spiderman
In the ending fight, He'd arrive just in time He'd do the cliched things, But He'd do them totally right
Spiderman, Spiderman, Friendly neighbour hood spiderman He'd take home, His reward The Being Marvels best hero award Except, Take into account deadpool cause deadpools is a total boss, But not quite as good as spidey Because He's the spider maaaaaaaan!
(Side not, I fucking love that the captcha is evil genius!) |

Wait, you DIDN'T like civil war? There was so much to like, th shoe horning, the stupid writing, the suddenly developed yet unexplained charater defects...It's everything I've come to expect from marvel comic writes over the years. Mwahahahahha!!! *Laughs evilly in DC's Iron tower of awesomeness* |
| Introduce Wasp and Ant-Man together in an Ant-Man movie, and have them both be Avengers, perhaps replacing Black Widow and/or Hawkeye to stop the team from getting bloated. Problem? Solved.
I adore Wasp in the cartoon, and I'd love to see her appear in the next filn. |
