Your in the Battle Royale class Pages 1 2 3 NEXT
Picture this, you're able to distinguish between "you're" and "your". Also, I'd just kill everyone. Unless there was a chance to group up and kill the people running it.
I'd probably just try to ensure my friends safety & make it so that in the end, they are the only ones left standing... even at the cost of my own life. Despite that, there is also the chance I'll just kill everyone I come across just so I can make it out.
I'd be terrible in the situation. I'd probably just try and wonder around, hoping to come across as little conflict as possible whilst trying to come to terms with the inevitable.
Thanks for telling me. My grammar isn't very good
Where did they make a mistake? Edit: Never mind, I just realised it's in the title.
I went back and changed it
My attempt to out-pedantic them failed
I'd try to fight back against the people who put me there like that one group of kids did.
Hello there. My name is Kazuo Kiriyama. A pleasure to meet you.
All the people there are soldiers with assault rifles. The average weapon the participants get is a knife or a handgun or sometime you just dont get a weapon.
I guess your my target then. I just hope that you don't get the uzi
Hide as much as possible. If I have to move area's I would do it as quickly and sneakily as possible aswell and pretty much stealth kill everyone. I'd cover myself in dirt and vegetation to help.
That didn't stop the one group from trying to make a bomb to use on them.
I'd try to kill as many people as I possibly could. In that situation, my natural instincts would be kicking off and survival my ultimate goal. I'd most likely get killed in the process, but hey, at least I tried. EDIT: And for the record, I thought the movie was terrible.
What, just a random school deathmatch? That would be extra interesting since i go to distance school in our local people's house Wait..... i am from japan?
The location is a deserted island with lots of forest and a small village. There is a school on the island but thats the military headquarters and you get shot on sight if you go near. Try to swim for it and you get shot by the coast guards
Kill off people I don't like, try to keep my friends safe, find the people running it and kill them. That would be my basic strategy.
Kill myself, definitely. I'd do what Kazuhiko and Sakura did and jump off the cliff. At least you'd be dying on your own terms - you wouldn't be made to become a murderer and you wouldn't be making one of your classmates a murderer either. The only way I'd change my mind is if the whole class got together to fight the organisers, but if everyone scattered at the beginning like they do in BR then that wouldn't be an option.
I would bum-rush the teacher and make sure my blood is on their hands instead of my fellow student's. Under those circumstances I wouldn't want to live, but I wouldn't give them the satisfaction of watching me play their game.
My strategy would depend on the kind of weapon I got. If I got an uzi I would kill everyone, but if I got a bad weapon I would try to cooperate.
I'd kill myself. I don't want to be from Japan.
Id find the biggest assholes and make sure they didn't make it, I don't know if I would survive but I sure as hell wouldn't let them.
Best typo I've seen all week! I'm now stuck with the image of a strange gypsy woman reading the future in a mangy dog's back. OT: Probably what I would do is freeze up and get killed by one of my blood-thirsty classmates. I've not that good under pressure...
What I never got from the manga is why, when handed the bag containing the weapon and provisions, nobody immediately checked whether they had a gun or grenades so they could immediately go back and kill the guy clearly in charge. No, they all went out of the building and scattered like mice. I guess there are the guards, but all they show in the manga is the classroom (with guards), then some long unguarded corridor and then you're outside, again no guards in sight. This is all before the school becomes a permanent no-go area. With this kind of thing I don't believe in hypothetical speculation. You'd know what you'd do only if you were ever placed in such a situation. Right now it's cheap talk.
I'd probably just try to bail and get shot by the coast guard honestly.
I'm pretty sure it's because of the 6 or so soldiers aiming at them for the whole thing
I'd just run for it and try and stay alive as long as possible.
When all the odds are stacked against me, when everything seems lost, I would suddenly realise I'm a bear with a rocket engine and blast the fuck out of there. Because fuck that shit.
Yep, I'm that much of an ass. :p OT - Meh, You gotta do what you gotta do. Someone has to win this thing, it might as well be me.
Simply find someone to team up with, kill everyone, then kill my friend. And that is honestly what I would do, play a hero, then get selfish. I have too much to live for and won't let myself be killed by anyone...
Then I'm pretty sure you haven't been paying attention to the actual manga. Chapter 4, page 1: three guards in the classroom with the main guy. Chapter 5, page 11: long corridor, no guards. Same chapter, page 16: outside the school, no guards. Basically, before you're out of the building you can check for your weapon and if it's a gun or grenades, go back and surprise em.
Still don't like your chances. I recon someone would have tried that before and they arn't shy about killing you before they get outside. Yoshi was proof of that. It would probably just turn that preverted bastard on anyway
I'd probably try to blow the school up like Shinji Minimura (or whoever it was) or try to break the game in some way.
I'd streak! | |
Got to love how this thread and the "You're final battle" thread are right next to each other. OP: I'd likely go for dislocating joints on those who attacked me, but I'm not sure I could kill them. Certainly wouldn't go full pacifist, though. Pretty sure I'd get killed off, then.

Picture this, you're from Japan and your highschool class is in the program this year. How do you deal with this?
For those that are unaware of Battle Royale, it is the more violent and Japanese version of the Hunger Games. I've been reading the mange recently so I was thinking how I would react to this situation.
What would you do if this impossible situation happened to you? Would you follow the Shuuya approach and just point blank refuse to go along with it or would you go the Souma route and kill every other person you see.
I want to think that I would try to protect other people and sacrific myself for someone else because to be honest I'm sure someone else is worth more to society. Saying that I may just surcome to fear and just try to save myself.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that accordance to the program, Everyone is fitted with a special collar that will explode if no one dies in the first 24 hours and if there isn't a winner in 3 days everyones collar explodes. For the ratings, this is being broadcast nationwide
