Besides, the vote for Daystar is genuine. Besides starting the B-vengers (which provides endless entertainment), his posts often make threads a joy to read. And the idea of the Brovengers was pretty brilliant, and a great way to lighten up the community. He more than deserves my vote.

Hell, I don't even think the person with the most votes is the person who gets interviewed, I think this is just a place for people to get nominated and then the staff chooses who they think should get it.

It just seems so dumb to highlight one specific person, of which there will be a few anyway because of the whole pseudo forum celebrity thing going on, and feature merely them for the entirety of the Escapist to see. Unless of course it's far more frequent, but honestly I doubt they have the time.

I'm happy to see the Escapist Community Spotlight up once more- but.. I can already tell most people won't be happy with it. From what i've learned personally, people do not like contests that involve popularity because people will feel left out, the individuals out there haven't been on here long enough to have a known reputation in order to be picked.
Not for me to judge though, that's just my 2 cents. Still happy to see this event up and running, gives me the chance to learn about users I have came to know for quite some time. So thank you Nasrin and Escapist Staff for wanting interviews with us :}
OT: I nominate lacktheknack, mainly because even though there are spectacular users who deserve the spotlight as well like Marik2 and staika, along with 30 other people I can name on the top of my head- his posts are always insightful to read. Also he tends to think outside the box in threads, and makes sure to be civil with whoever he's replying to.
Plus his Avatars are mighty creative, I am a sucker for people who make such eye catching Avatars since I have a thing for making Avatars and GIFs myself (hopefully to improve where it's mind blowing but that shall take time).
I nominate Souplex, since he's a super dude (if a little annoying and hard to deal with sometimes, but I love him anyway) both on the Escapist and off.
Awesome, I loved this feature! Um... not sure who to vote for, though. Can't really think of anyone really prolific... or rather, I can think of too many people. No one really sticking out.
I guess I'll throw my card in for Daystar. A couple of days ago I said the Brovengers were comparable to Max and PRIATE in terms of forum drama, and I don't mean that in a bad way. Those were the most memorable times I've had on this site :D
