Really? As the person who gets to throw out of the restaurant and clean up after people who do this, I hate you, please don't suggest that it's so disgusting, and the nerve they have saying "But it's all you can eat" Yes, yes it is, therefore if you have to vomit to keep eating you've already had all you can eat and therefore you can get out of here, eh sorry I just really hate it when people do that.

...

You can't take a joke, can you?

I think I can... When I notice it is a joke, sorry I can be pretty gullible at times,I didn't mean to offend you sir...
It's just that I'm still a little confused that people actually do that... why?

I wrote those lines right after, "The nerve people have". It was meant to be ironical.

Don't worry Mr. it wasn't you, it happens to me all the time in real life, I keep getting eye rolls, I mean people don't even bother explaining jokes to me anymore, they just tell me to shut up when I say I don't get it...

Hmmm, I guess if this dude and folks like him were used as an argument more, I would understand the American aversion to universal healthcare... I wouldn't want my tax money going to pay this fat cunts medical bills either.

(Seriously, in the UK, fatty foods should be taxed in the same way cigarettes are.)

Anyway, fuck it, I'd eat at that place - they deserve the business after putting up with this cunt.

the government tried to do that, but research showed (god i love generic "research") that since most low cost food was also said bad food it would end up just being a way to tax the poor. And as such not cool.

Which is quite logical. And i originally shared your viewpoint.

That makes sense... Hmmm, a difficult one to solve, in our western society, given that the cheapest food to buy will inevitably be the cheapest to make, which will be the stuff with all the shit thrown in it.

...

Perhaps some kind of mandatory Physical Training 5 days a week then? ... How to enforce it? Or organise it in such as way as to ensure all can attend? I don't know, I'm just the idea man...

Just have it effect taxes, if you can't prove you did x amount of exercise in a month you get some more tax.

Thats how i would do it anyway.

I think something is wrong when you get kicked out of "all you can eat". And it's not wrong with the restaurant. I've eaten two pounds of shrimp and the people were plenty happy to give me more, if I asked.

He's a moron:
"...Despite servers giving Wisth an additional eight pieces to take home, he was sufficiently disgruntled that he called the cops..."
He wanted it TO GO, not there. Damn, the nerve people have. I just throw up in the bathroom and eat some more. Roman etiquette and table manners away!

Wait. People actually do that? I've never heard of that happening. I never even heard of it as a joke.

Huh, it seems I'm in the minority for agreeing with this guy. If the resteraunt sets up an all you can eat buffet, there is going to be the occasonal person who takes all they can eat. Deal with it.

Maybe it would be different if he was throwing up in the bathroom to *ahem* make room for more, but if he's just eating... well the resteraunt could always up the price for the buffet if they're going out of buisness.

Remember wwwaaaayyy back when the Simpsons were actually still good? It's a long way back, I know, might need to dust off your diaries and journals and/or invent a time machine, but I swear they used to be worth watching.

Anyways, there was one episode in which Homer sues an All You Can Eat seafood restaurant for false advertisement because they kicked him out before he had all he could eat.

Well apparently that exact same situation (minus the lawsuit, I believe) has officially occurred:

http://now.msn.com/now/0516-fish-fry-reject.aspx?OCID=media_nowcontrol

Captcha: "Easy As Cake". I don't know about you, but making cake isn't always easy. Well I take that back, making cake is easy, making GOOD cake isn't. :P

Actually that happened a long while back as well. My stepdad about 15 years (1986) before marrying my mom got kicked out of an all you can eat Chinese buffet for eating to much. Well he got his lawyer and threatened to sue if they didn't give him free food from there for 3 years. The restaurant owners gave into his demands so as to avoid a long drawn out court case that they figured would cost more than his big eating.

They should just refuse to serve this guy altogether. I'm sure they get enough business off other customers that are actually worth their time.

xD That might be the funniest/greatest out of court settlement deal I've ever heard of.

What a horrible restaurant - this guy is right: every man, woman and child should be allowed to walk in there and eat OVER TWENTY pieces of fish -.-' Its only good business to let every customer eat more than what they paid for. Is he trying to claim this is a common issue that most consumers have to deal with??

You do know there's not some almighty arbiter when it comes to how much something is worth, right? There's no authority that goes "Right, this fish is worth $2.25, if someone has paid $9, then they have paid for 4 fish, no more, no less."
In fact, as it turns out, prices are set purely by the people involved in the transaction.

If it's an all you can eat restaurant. And you've paid for all you can eat, then the amount you've paid for is all you can eat. Why exactly should the restaurant be able to say "Actually I know we said that it was all you can eat, but you can obviously eat too much, so we not going to let to eat any more, even though you paid to be able to eat all that you can."?

Giving that man more food clearly constitutes assisted suicide. I'm with the restaurant.

How about when the restaurant runs out of fish? That sounds like a great time for him to stop demanding fish - y'know, when its completely impossible to give him anymore. Or when the stupid amount of fish he has eaten is going to stop his heart? Or when that species of fish are going extinct? Or the restaurant owners are going to go out of business? All sound like great reasons for him to say "Keep the change". He is claiming that he has been ripped off and should have gotten more food from this situation, and seems to think this happens to everyone. He claims that "someone has to stand up for consumers" - no, he's only standing up for himself. The fact that its declared news is a pretty big hint this doesn't happen often. I can't understand how someone can be so greedy - I just can't.

If he can eat that much before closing time, then it's restaurant's fault for failing to account for someone of his eating abilities. Although I really doubt any of those things would come to pass before his appetite was sated, bar running out of fish themselves, and that their own fault for not being prepared.

If he paid for "all you can eat", why exactly shouldn't get what he paid for?
If they ran out of food before that happened, then they can simply give him his money back.
If I order a complete meal at a restaurant, and after I've finished the starter, they tell me they've run out of food for the main, I'm entitled to my money back.

So your argument is based on the fact you don't like the guy? That's not a very good stance. I don't like the guy either, but that doesn't change the fact that they advertised their restaurant as "all you can eat".

If they don't like the repercussions of having such a restaurant, then they should just have a normal "each portion is this amount" restaurant.

Why am I not surprised that this guy is obese.

I admit the restaurant are to blame for not being completely stocked but its no use throwing a fit and calling them all failures if they dont have any more fish. There is nothing that can be done. Was he still hungry after 20 fish? If so then yes, shame on the restaurant but I really doubt thats the case - in which case its pure greed.

Ordering A meal and only getting a portion of it is different to ordering an undetermined amount of food, getting more food than should be eaten in a day by any human, and complaining about the lack of food. I'm only asking a little understanding from the guy - did he really think he hadn't had enough?

Pretty much - I agree that it normally holds no weight in anything but I honestly don't see the problem here. People are starving in the world and I'm meant to feel sorry for this "victim" who didn't get his promised infinitely many fish?

Why is everything a lawsuit nowadays?

My family (myself included) have been kicked out of an all you can eat seafood buffet because they were eating too much. (Almost every member of my family weighs over 300 pounds and they can really put it away). Since we really had eaten a ridiculous amount of food, we complied and left.

We didn't sue...actually, my grandfather and uncle loved to brag to people that they were kicked out of a buffet for eating too much because they just thought it was funny.

Yep, they do it, you have no idea how confused I was the first time it happened, though it doesn't really happen too often as I have only seen it happen 2 times, but the other guys were like "AGAIN?! Ugh.." so yeah, that's a thing.

When you have a tab at a place of business, theyve had trouble with you before, and youre making no motion to pay the tab, I dont think it should be surprising when youre refused service, especially in a case like this, where the place of buisness bends over backwards to accomidate you despite you being a dick (which they are, cause I know if you tried this at half the places around here they'd give you a smile as your ass got bounced).

hell, iw ouldnt even let him in the door until he starts to make a debt in that tab he owes If I were the eatery owner.

EDIT: or as I said on youtube:
Well the answer's simple. pay your tab you get your fish.

and really, im sure that the dispatcher is going to get RIGHT ON your call that an all you can eat buffet didnt give you all you can eat after 20 pieces. Dont waste municipal money, thats what the federal government and SEC are for.
