Ain't no homo gonna make it to heaven

Really?! I mean... fucking really?!

People are calling this child abuse, indoctrination, vile, I call it fucking retarded. Seriously, in the age old question when did anyone ever know what God's opinion on homosexuals is? Who are they to judge?

No disrespect to peaceful people of faith but it is shit like this experienced in real life that made me reject organised religion. Especially what they are doing to this kid? I am hoping this kid does not understand what he is say because I sure as hell would have at that age. Now I kept this in the off topic section to avoid making this a (flaming argument) strictly religious debate (which it will unfortunately become without a doubt) so what do you gals and guys have to say about this?

NOTE: I am pretty miffed by this video and thus my OP is pretty much nonsensical so I will now leave this forum and allow you hopefully (not gonna happen) have a civil, open discussion about this. And please Do not include me in it because if the OP is any evidence, I am not thinking straight. That includes backhanded, sarcastic remarks.

Religion on its own, isn't a bad thing.

Stupid people who use religion as a shield is what sucks.

If there was no religion, morons would find some other following to get behind to voice their bigoted views.

I certainly wouldn't call it child abuse. More like the parents teaching their child their own personal beliefs which they see as correct.

I could slew around a few quotes, like Napoleon's "Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich," but I don't think it would fit the given context. Plus, people get mad.

Whyyyyy the sudden influx of homophobes though? I swear it wasn't this bad a few years ago.

inb4 Religion is evil.

That is pretty messed up. I thought the reason we had things like child grooming laws was so that children don't inherit their parents bigotry. I just hope that the kid turns out all right and somebody does something aout this.

Anyway about the christianity thing if religion didn't exist they would have just used a different shield like some biological bullshit about how homosexuality means you are inferior because you are not in a child bearing situation or some crap.

I'm afraid toasted cheese sandwiches have already joined the other side.

Because they are the ones with the loudest, most outspoken views, and they are the ones given the most attention. They're not necessarily a majority. At least I don't think so. (I hope not)

They were there, but recent years have seen a sudden rise in support for the homosexual community, causing those most vehemently opposed to come out of the woodwork and become more vocal than before. But the WBC and their ilk have been causing trouble for years.

Ain't nooo none o' yo business little child so shuuut upppp.

What... it was a sing off right? No? Okay.jpg

Yeah I call this stupid as well. Stoopid STU-oopid, with a capital DUMB.

So, Rob Halford isn't going to heaven?

Pity, I would've loved to see the pearly gates with chromed statues of Rob on either side.

When a group of people come together to rip on another group of people
Seriously, it's just sad, the kid's clearly just speaking through his parents
Things like this, just speak for themselves really

If the people that taught this kid that song are going to heaven, I want no part of it.

In theory if there was no religion, then people would just put one together anyway.

Even atheism is a religion of a sort, though one propped by a common disbelief.

Probably something to do with homosexuals getting more of a voice in mainstream media and such
Sparks hatred in some to see others frolicking freely, happily, or being able to express their own opinions.

wow.....they are really going ape shit over that

YEEEAAAAHH!! HOMOPHOBIA IS AWSOME!!

or mabye they are just giving the kid a big round of appluse....lyrics and hate aside it is cute

Absolutely disgusting.
An embarrassment to people of faith who actually aren't homophobes.

I believe that religion in itself is not evil, it's just a set of ideas meant to give people comfort. But, it's a powerful set of ideas, and one that people like these inbred morons see fit to use to justify their hatred.

I think the kid's right about that, no homos will ever set foot in Heaven. Though, I don't think anybody in this world is going to Heaven either, so it's cool.

That child is secretly pro-gay. "Ain't no homo gonna make it to heaven" is a double negative. But seriously, if you were him, would you say anything that supported gays? The way they cheered when he said it was pure fanaticism.

Anyway, to quote Harvey Dent, the night is darkest before the dawn. These people are the last flames of ignorance dying out in a society that has (for the most part) excepted gays. That kid will grow up in a society where his opinion is in the minority, and that society will hopefully have it's effect on him, and cause him to question what will have been hammered into his skull. Whilst people seem to be getting dumber, they're also getting more tolerant, and it'll be harder and harder to get away with these sorts of beliefs in the future.

Captcha: Poison Apple (how apt)

dont guve a fudge what christians do, the internet "fights" never get anyone anywhere so sod it

No doubt that it's indoctrination. A 4 year old shouldn't even know those words, muchless have any knowledge of the concept of hate.

Is it child abuse? Questionable. Should the kid be ripped away from his parents? Probably. Will it happen? No. This is America, where advocating the death of people who offend your fragile religious beliefs gets you support for being persecuted instead of being locked up in jail where your sick ass belongs.

Backlash. The very usage of terms like "homophobe" explains exactly why your seeing some major responses from the other direction. Basically it's an issue that has the US divided roughly 50-50, for a lot of differant reasons. The pro-gay movement has been increasingly offensive, belligerant, and unwilling to even consider the anti-gay side of things. Left wing media control helped maintain that and present the illusion that the anti-gay side of things was some tiny, fringe, majority, but as that was never the case your starting to see that side rallying and becoming increasingly vocal.

I'm pretty much at the center of the issue, whether anuyone wants to accept that or not, being in the middle between anti-gay and pro-gay. Being seperated from both sides (and disliked by both sides) it gives me a pretty clear perception of how things are moving. The left wing/pro gay side has had a lot of intertia, but intertia ultimatly fades, and your seeing the other side having rallied and it's likely to start pushing back big time. It may or may not happen, but I kind of figure you'll see the pro-gay movement gradually losing steam, and then things to start swinging back in a very anti-gay direction for a while. This will continue until all of the all or nothing "we will not negotiate on this issue" guys on both sides knock it off and meet somewhere in the middle, which will leave nobody really happey, but will throw a bucket of ice on the conflict.

I feel the need to question that 'Atheism is a religion' thing. There's an old quote that's been tossed around a lot, and I'm going to toss it up again. "If Atheism is a religion then not collecting stamps is a hobby." Even if you argue that Atheists have a creed or other such common belief, then it's simply a shared belief, and Atheism is still no more a religion than conservatism or feminism or transhumanism.

Wow that was cute. Our next song will be "I think Hitler was right"

Also religion is good.It is like an elegant lighter. You should keep it away from morons who will burn your house down.

A standing ovation for a small child singing about how gays are going to Hell. This just astounds me. Everyone just laughs and cheers like it's the cutest damned thing they've ever seen. I'm seriously at a loss of words to express my disappointment.

First of all, greatest picture ever.

Second of all. WHAT THE JESUS HELL JUST HAPPENED?

Third. Of course we know that a four year old can think for itself and make judgements on people because of what a 2000 year old book written by desert people thought.

him over there:

I always find that an interesting argument, and undermines the heavy influence religion has on these view points. Such viewpoints as certain things being good and evil, or even the nature of heaven or hell are closely tied to religious bigotry, which are always backed up from the logic "well I believe it, so it must be true".

While religion is not the sole reason for such behavior the argument cannot be made that religion is free from blame, nor that in a world without religion it would magically be the same.

I bet all the people in that video are thinking, 'heck yeah! Even a 4 year old knows that the bible is right! Even more validity for our beliefs! Praise tha lord!'
Anyway that's the saddest thing I've ever seen. I think I'm watching a bigot in the making even. It's like when you see a semi-trailer rolling down a big hill and there's a town at the bottom of the hill - the only thing that goes through your mind is 'this can only end badly'.

Sigh... I was already in a bad mood today to begin with. This isn't helping.

Honestly, I think it has more to do with the internet and videos going viral. This church, and that other church that recently said homosexuals should be caged in an electric fence and be left to die, have most likely been teaching this stuff for DECADES! The only reason it seems like homophobia is getting worse is because videos and such of members of these churches finally happened to go viral. They've been doing this for years, nothings changed, it's just we've finally noticed it.

But believe me, it HAS been getting better.

Here's the thing though; the pro-gay side isn't taking away anything from the anti-gay side. That can't be said about the reverse though.

If you don't accept homosexuality as a fact of life, then you have every right to just simply disassociate with gay people. That way nobody is harmed, held back, or even having their rights taken away from them. The pro-gay movement isn't asking the anti-gay movement to abandon their ideals 100% and to convert to their ideals, rather to just live and let live.
