My last two purchases were...

"Collide With the Sky" by Pierce the Veil,

and

"Fight Like A Girl" by Emilie Autumn.

I love them both. "Collide With the Sky" is possibly PtV's best work, with my favorite tracks being "I'm Low On Gas and You Need A Jacket" and "Hold On Till May". And PtV was kind enough to make the two bonus tracks of the album other versions of those songs! How nice!

"F.L.A.G.", while I don't think I like as much as EA's "Opheliac" album, is also very, very good, and may one day overtake "Opheliac". My favorite tracks are "Take The Pill" and "Gaslight", which nearly brings me to tears at time.

Both were very worthy of my money.

Metric's "Synthetica". Freakin' awesome Canadian indie-synth-rock.

"4x4=12" by Deadmau5. Bought it a while ago when I was at Best Buy to get a new media shelf for all my games. Deadmau5 is one of my favourite artists of late, they're just so fun to listen to, so I'm glad I had enough left over after picking out the shelf to finally get one of their albums. My favourite track is definitely "A City In Florida," which some of us might know better as "that one song that plays during Matt Miller's epic boss battle in Saints Row The Third."

Swedish House Mafia: Until One
Got it for 10 bucks from a sale at F.Y.E.

As a longtime fan of Electronic Music (especially house) and having only discovered SHM recently, I love every minute of this disk! :D

Erm... I don't like correcting people but Deadmau5 is one person...
I know this gets kind of gets confusing since he brings in other artists to do some vocals n' stuff (HA! see what i did there?) but on the whole, he is a solo artist, just sayin'.
I agree on the greatness of 4x4=12 100% though! One of my favorite albums right now as a matter of fact!

The last one was the Scott Pilgrim Vs The World Sound Track (I'm not exactly up to date with music). I love the ablum despite only listenning to several of them most the time. It would of been perfect if this was in the album (I think it went to that other Scott Pilgrim Ablum instead)-

The last album I bought was Rize of the Fenix by Tenacious D. So psyched to see them in October.

I've also pre-ordered Uno, Dos and Tre by Green day.

I don't buy albums. I pay for Pandora radio, and make stations based on music I like. If I find a song or band I particularly like, I see if they have a youtube station. If they do, I'll generally subscribe, listen to their music for a bit, then return to Pandora. I'll create a custom playlist on youtube for the songs that I like and I'll listen to that for a few days out of every week, so not only is the band getting money from Pandora, but also from ad revenue through youtube.

Last one was Led Zeppelin - Mothership, for my mothers birthday... Don't think I've bought an album for myself in five years or more. There isn't much use for CDs anymore. :(

I got an LP player recently so I've been scouring all those creepy specialist shops to find some nice records. It's awesome, I've got about thirty albums so far and I've only spent a tenner; it's almost as if vinyl is a dead media, or something.

Other than that I bought two EP's of some lass called Daughter after I heard one of her songs on a random website, it's pleasant.

Clockwork Angels by Rush. For the answer to any music related question is ALWAYS Rush. I must've listened to it around 20-30 times by now and I'm still not tired of it.

Really, can you tell me that this isn't the shit?

Last one I bought was the live album 'By A Thread' from Devin Townsend, which also promptly took it's place as my favourite live album so far.

I've never bought an album in my life, but it's looking like Green day's Uno will be the first.

If bought means obtained legally, then it's History of Houses by The Siren Tower. (can be downloaded for free legally)

If bought means paid money for, then it's Monument by Children Collide.

Last album I bought was Napalm Death's "Utilitarian".

I thought it was great. Mostly what you'd expect from Napalm except for some clean vocals. Which was kind of cool.

Also I was given Tragically Hip's best of album "Yer Favourites". Really good collection of their stuff.

R.E.M -Murmur A few weeks ago only 29 years late.

Gossamer by Passion Pit. Incredible album.

Periphery's new album. Such a good album, so fun to listen to. This song is a particular highlight of mine :)

Gojira's L'Enfant Sauvage. Absolutely love it, and got a tshirt with the package too :)

...Wait, no I'm wrong. The last album I got was the limited edition of Opeth's Watershed, which includes a seperate 5.1 mix. I've been searching for it for a while. With that my Opeth special edition collection is now complete :D

God, I love Opeth. Blackwater Park is still one of the Best Metal Albums of recent memory.

OT: Pearl Jam's Ten. One of the Few Albums where I like every song.

I got The Temper Traps new album... which even though is their second album, it is self titled!

Favourite track:

And the other album I got at the same time was Ufabulum by Squarepusher... Best track:

I did buy the New My Bloody Valentine EP Compilation not too long ago if that counts.

One of the best compilations I have ever bought. Also, it's a lifesaver, as the MBV EP's cost a small fortune on their own due to a very limited print run, and no rereleases.

God, I do love my Shoegaze.

Jesus... last Album... that I bought. All the way back in 2006... or was it 2007. Can't remember.

Thank You Internet. :P

Bought a pretty large batch fairly recently* and still waiting on a couple, though the most recent one to come through the post was Pink Floyd's The Wall, which I'm listening to right now. :3

*Beherit - Engram
Black Sabbath - Dehumanizer
Black Sabbath - Sabotage
Drudkh - Eternal Turn of the Wheel
Faunts - High Expectations/Low Results
Flogging Molly - Within a Mile of Home
Judas Priest - Defenders of the Faith
Judas Priest - Stained Class
Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin
Motorhead - Orgasmatron
My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
Obscura - Cosmogenesis
Opeth - Heritage
Opeth - Orchid
Oranssi Pazuzu - Kosmonument
Oranssi Pazuzu - Muukalainen Puhuu
Rainbow - Long Live Rock 'n' Roll
Rod Stewart - Gasoline Alley
Thin Lizzy - Black Rose
Ulver - Blood Inside
The Who - Quadrophenia
Yes - Fragile

A Healthy Distrust by Sage Francis was my latest album purchase. It's my first Hip Hop album! Traditionally I'm a rocker/punk.country fan...

Anyway, yeah, the album was pretty awesome. Great lyrics and all that.

Before that it would have been a Gotye album, I think?

Digital album? Phantom on the Horizon by Fall of Troy, because it's an absolute bitch to find physical copies of and I just want to listen to it. Every song is just genius.

Physical album? Blue Record by Baroness, and I'm loving the hell out of it, especially the songs Swollen And Halo and Jake Leg.

Pearl Jam - Ten

I bought a fair few albums in the past week.
Tegan and Sara - all of it
The Mountain Goats - all of it post 2000 (which is like 10 albums. T set me back a fair bit)
Against Me! - all of it again
Metric - all of it
Murder By Death - In Bocca Al Lupo and Red of Tooth and Claw.

Amounted to about 30 ish albums, all physical.
Just to be clear, I bought all of these at the same time. So don't quote me saying 'THE TITLE SAYS LATEST NOT YOUR ENTIRE COLLECTION GABAWWWWSK'

My last purchase was the album 2012 from the band World Order. Because japanese or not, who can resist a bunch of men dressed in business suits and ties doing awesome syncronized dancing in random cities?

Last time I brought albums, it was a couple of weeks ago, I picked up "Handwritten" by The Gaslight Anthem, which I wasn't to keen on to begin with but it has grown on me a lot. The other was "Long LIve The Struggle" by The King Blues which has its moments, but isn't great its all over the place stylistically, probably as a result of the last few months before the band split up.

"Unfaithfully yours" by General Fiasco, Good album for the most part theres some pretty bad songs on it to but every one of those theres two good ones.

And its just good to support local talent.

sextus the crazy:

Opeth and Pearl Jam? I think you're on my wavelength man. Totally agree about Ten, it's in my list of classics for that very reason.

iTunes has spoiled me, so i generally don't buy whole albums. the last one i bought was Make it Louder by Louna.

i bought about half of it piecemeal before deciding to buy the whole thing. there's only one song on it that i don't like.

AC/DC Iron Man 2 Album. Their best songs all on one disk.

I am a huge classic rock fan but the latest albums I bought have been of the great Ludwig Van. I was at a library sale and had 50 cent CD's of all this classical music and I thought "why not?" Among his symphonies and sonata's I also found some Bach and Mozart. As well as the great "This Is How We Do It" by Montell Jordan. A bit of place? Yes. But I'm giving to a friend as a gag gift.

MisterGobbles:
You guys simply win.

-snip-

Why thank you. Are you a Mercenary fan too? Have you picked up their latest album? It really isn't the same as their old stuff, but it definately has a good sound! :D

What's kinda sad, is that between all of their albums (minus First Breath - it's IMPOSSIBLE to find), I don't think I can get tired of their music.
