Krantos:
Canada.

Any other questions?

Canada, it's like America but smarter. Canada, where's it's only cold 9 months of the Year. Canada where their still sorry for Nickleback.

We've moved on to being sorry for bieber.

Anyway, Canadian here, so I guess I'd go to Denmark, they seem fun.

Joining the chorus of the great Canadian immigration. Which, if they have the sense I believe they do, will lead the the GREAT CANADIAN WALL. Keep those hosers where they belong, eh.

Professor Lupin Madblood:
Well, I live in Canada, so there's really one option.

France.

(Yes, I'm serious.)

I'm actually Sam's sister, but I know I speak for both of us when I say THIS.

We actually do want to move to France as it is.

I have nothing against Mexico but I do not speak Spanish so I'd go with Canada.

South Africa here :D. Man I've got a few to chose from :P. Swaziland, Lesotho, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana or Namibia...
And I really don't know which is better to be honest. Zim, Swazi and Lesotho are out so that only leaves Botswana, Namibia or Mozambique. If pressed probably Namibia cuz it was part of South Africa at one point so it seems like the place I could just ease into (also my favourite brand of beer comes from there... delicious Windhoek).

One option: The United States of America.

I choose death.

So its between Colombia and Peru?
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-
Well, Colombia has the FARQ, so I guess Peru?

Professor Lupin Madblood:
Well, I live in Canada, so there's really one option.

France.

(Yes, I'm serious.)

It's funny because this actually makes sense.

I'm Canadian, so I'll obviously pick America. The only other options would be Greenland (Denmark) or France. It's cold as balls in Greenland and I don't speak Danish, much less the natives' language, and speak very little French, so ya, 'Murica.

Darn... This one is really hard. I am surrounded by countries that are alright. Maybe Austria? I mean, I already know the language. Probably not France. Hm. Maybe Denmark. Does Great Britain count as "bordering" Germany? Probably not. I guess I would pick Austria.

Rawne1980:
Scotland.

I may not be able to understand a damn word they say and it may be cold as feth but dammit .... they have whiskey.

They got some pretty good beer too.

I'd have to go with Scotland, living in England as I do and Wales being a cursed place and Scotland being the place my family comes from.

If you take it as Britain... can I go to Norway? Does that count? Cuz I'll have a civil war before I move to France.

Canada! Hell, I was 2 months away from moving there anyway at one point.

Canada. I suppose I'd either go with British Columbia, Novia Scotia, or Saskatchewan.

I'm from the US, so I guess Canada is my only option if I don't feel like dying.

I'm so taking advantage of your guys' health care system.

EDIT:
Just read the OP edit. I live on the Pacific coast, reppin' Cali (Nor Cal, to be precise), so I think I'd just go North and stay near the coast and stay near the border so it's warmer.
I could even make a cameo on Desert Bus, because Victoria is like right there.

Canada! :D Hell, I'd almost move there even if I wasn't forced to :)

Being in the United States, my choices are either Canada or Mexico...

As an Australian, I would absolutely go to New Zealand, because it's essentially Australia except with more sheep. I like sheep. They're woolly.

DrRockor:
I'm in England so I just checked a map and the countries that seem the closest are Island, France and either Belgium or the Netherlands. I'd go with France I think. Place seems nice, I haven't been there in, I think 15 years and my vague memory is it was cool.

You checked a map, yet you can't

A: Spell Ireland,

or

B: Realize that there are in fact two countries that have land borders with England (Wales and Scotland)

What map were you looking at?

OT: I live in Australia, so I would probably move to New Zealand. It's just like Australia, but their money is pathetic.

I'd probably just move to Maine. It's a nice place, and the people are much the same as they are here in Canada. I wouldn't move further south than that, though.

SanAndreasSmoke:

EDIT: Fine, let's keep this interesting for the rest of you fellow Americans. WHERE in Canada would you move?
Jesus, so much for my brilliant thread topics.

Poor Mexico and it's undeserved poor reputation :(
Mexico is a wonderful country.......That being said, I can't speak Spanish..........I think I'd choose Canada

Antarctica.

And I would live there quite happily.

Scotland. I'm not moving to Wales and besides when devolution happens they'll get all the oil. Downside is I'd pretty much have to live in Edinburgh and that's going to be gruesomely expensive.

Canada.... fuck. Uhhm where to go.
America... fuck no.
Russia.... no.
Greenland, barren frozen blight controlled by one of Canada's rivals, Denmark. Well maybe if I can actually move to Denmark. Greenland is just a territory isn't it? Not its own country?

Ok, so I'm from Croatia. What are my options?

Serbia: It's like a poorer version of Croatia where everyone hates Croats. I have some relatives there, but not a great option.

Bosnia: Even poorer, but people are nicer. Still, no jobs to be seen anywhere, so no.

Slovenia: Lol, no.

Hungary: Not too bad. The new language will be a bitch to learn, but it's not too bad.

Montenegro: Not sure, not much news comes from down there so I'm not quite up to speed on the situation. Still, might not be a bad choice.

Bonus round - Italy: Not a direct land border, but all that separates us is a few kilometers of Slovenia (lol). Might be my best option.

Overall, I'd pick Italy, with Hungary and Montenegro sharing second spot.

i live in the netherlands so i'd have to choose either belgium or germany.
iii'd have to say belgium, the langauge is pretty similar and belgium doesnt seem to be much more messed up then the netherlands, while germany has certain censorships and restrictions i can't keep track off. also i like the smell of belgium, its like the netherlands of ye old.

I live in the Netherlands and I would move to Belgium. Benefits: They still speak Dutch, I can buy a bigger house and a nicer car for the same money over there, the food is the same, the people are less rude...

Wait, why am I still living here?

Hmmm ... I'm in the United States. I'm going to cheat and use the US Virgin Islands as a jumping off point. If anyone needs me, I'll be in Antigua. =P

Well, I'm an Englishman living in Wales. So I guess I'd just move back to England (or to Wales permanently, depending on which one was taken by the government to be my own)

Well I'm English so France would be a nice place to HA HA HA HA HA oh, sorry, couldnt finish that sentance there. Ireland would probably be my choice, I dont drink or partake in casual racism so Scotland is out and Wales is made entirely out of boring, and hill, with a few sheep for variety here and there.

tippy2k2:
Well....this isn't very difficult :)

I'm an American (Minnesota to be precise)

Mexico: Terribly poor country with a fairly corrupt government and a drug war that is killing thousands.
Canada: Just like America except a little bit more French and has Universal Health Care

Shit, I could hope into my car and be in Canada by the end of the day if I wanted to. See you in Canada eh.

Silly Canada joke time! "So I was looking through the history book and saw that it's supposed to be called CND. However, every time someone asked how to spell it, Canadians would say C eh N eh D eh! and the name stuck!

Oh, hey! Greetings, fellow Minnesotan! *internet high-fives*

Yeah...definitely Canada for me as well. Hopefully, they let me live in Edmonton so I can be near a certain mall that won't make me miss the Mall of America too much.

Norway I guess. (I'm in the UK in Aberdeen).

EDIT: Actually Paris, I do love Paris...~ Plus I'd be near a Disneyland!

Belgium -> England

While I speak Dutch, I think the English culture appeals more to me than the Dutch.

Like the person above, I'd like to visit Disneyland from time to time. I've been there quite often already since it's only a four hour drive tops from my home, but apparently it's doable by riding the Chunnel train. A bit expensive though. :p

Sweden; it's okay, I have friends there and I speak the language.
Russia; oh hell no!
Norway; quite tempting, the language would be easy for me to pick up.

Hnnngh! It's a hard choice.

I'd move to Russia. It's a border country with the US and has Vodka and awesome history stuffs.

It's a hard choice. I live in Sweden, so I have some options.

1) Norway
+ I know the language
+ I have a passport
+ I technically own land
- Its expensive
- Its TOO expensive
- Its been done before

2) Finland
+ Beautiful country, great climate
+ Kossu
+ KOSSU!
+ Sauna
+ Sauna + KOSSU!
- My Finnish is terrible

3) Denmark
+ Beer
+ Cheap beer
+ Close to Germany (more, cheaper beer!)
+ While my Danish isn't perfect, It should at least be adequate
- Kinda wonky political climate in my eyes
- My central-Sweden dialect will likely get me into trouble
- Too many Scanians coming to visit
- The country is pretty small(geographically)
- Denmark is too damn south! Gets to warm
