The Barret XM500. You just never know when you might need to shoot down a helicopter.
The SCAR Series Assault Rifle The sheet definition of the future for Weapons
FN P90. They're so cool...
Does a bow and arrow count? Sorry, I'm playing Far Cry 3 and a bit obsessed with the bow and arrow. It fires exploding arrows so I think it should qualify as a firearm.
This:
The Patriot. Basically think an M4-Tank, with a beta C-mag and no stock. It may be a fictional weapon from a game, but its design is rooted in reality. Though to be fair, it wouldn't be all that practical, especially as a conceal-carry firearm(unless you've got a huge purse or duffel bag) but it would be awesome to have.
At first I was gonna agree with the OP, a G36. Then your post made me remember my favourite firearm ever to exist. The FN P90.
Probably just an AK-47 (or whatever equivalent is most realistically common) due to its iconic nature and just because it looks badass. I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to guns and modern warfare, but the AK does look sweet.
A flaregun. | |
Get a shotgun and buy Dragons Breath rounds, I love my set, its like a flamethrower coming out of a shotgun.
the onscreen used m41 pulse rifle from aliens thats still left
The FN F2000 w/ under-slung 40mm grenade launcher. The Belgians do make something better than waffles!
Unwise to talk about our dream firearms on a videogame website... EDIT: Oh what the hell... Laser Cats!!
http://www.imfdb.org/images/thumb/c/cf/HK_G11_caseless_Rifle.jpg/400px-HK_G11_caseless_Rifle.jpg Just to have the most unique gun I know of. And somehow I think it looks good, don't question my non-logic.
Personally my left arm. I'd like big blue flames please. I use my right arm for too many other things to have that one on fire.
No one's done it yet? Ok! Why? Because L4Z0RZ that's why.
What is the most powerful gun I can get that is still technically a gun under that? I'll take that, then find some giant firing range that'll let me unload it (there's gotta to be something in the Nevada desert).
...seriously? This is why I'm glad I live in a country with fantastically strict fire-arm laws, the idea of anyone actually owning these is ridiculous. Sigh, I joined this thread so I may as well play along. An old revovler, like you'll see in westerns, because cowboys are awesome.
dammit ninja'd | |
Whoever doesn't want an FN P90 is lying! Look at this majestic piece of work!
| |
I'd have to take the firearm that's in my avatar... Before you ask, yes, it is based in reality (.44 Magnum) but that one, if you've ever seen Trigun... well, shit yes!
I was going to smugly put a status about not wanting any gun because I have no use for one and they're silly and evil... and then I saw your post. Dammit Stargate, you've had more effect on me than I am comfortable with!
My action figures just became all the more awesome.
Preferably a McMillan Tac-50 or Scar-L (with all attachments and conversion kits) or H&K 416 with picatinny rails and all available attachments or the venerable M249. I'm assuming that there is no restriction on quantity, quality or make of ammunition (Hollow Point, Incendiary, FMJ etc.)
Who doesn't love the FN P90 because of Stargate? Especially when Teal'c duel wields them!
| |
P90, cause of Stargate.
The funny thing is I didn't even realise it was a real type of gun until playing COD4. I just assumed they were props because they look so sci-fi like.
McMillan Tac-50, Scar-L, FN P90, AK-47 or a Spaz 12-gauge with dragon's breath rounds.
I didn't really take it in until I played CoD4 either. In the multiplayer of every Modern Warfare game so far, once I get the P90 then I don't care about anything else or any other unlock. P90 with Steady Aim and I'm set! Maybe a silencer for good measure. Then I can just run around pretending to be Jack O'Neill :D
Maybe it's just because I'm both an Aliens fan and a Resident Evil fan, but I'm in love with this thing right here.
I am very glad you mentioned cost not being an issue. Space to put it on the other hand...
Depends. Are we assuming I can easily get the right ammmunition for the gun easily as well, or it'd be like it is right now, just I could own any firearm now? If it's assuming the first, and I could easily get the right ammo, I'd go for the AN-94. It's a weapon I've always wanted in my hands, and the two-burst design is nothing short of brilliant. Assuming exotic ammo would be difficult to come by (and I'm sure the AN-94's 5.45x39mm would be difficult to find here in the states), I would go with Remington Model 700 VTR. It's a bolt-action rifle that fires a .308 Winchester. Powerful, precise, and not that difficult to come by. I wouldn't go for handguns because I've always been extremely accurate with rifles, but my accuracy with handguns is average/mediocre at best.
A simple Lee Enfield SMLE. It's cool, reliable, British, and not illegal :D (In my state)
An AA 12. | |
The EM-2. I love wood furniture & bullpup weapons.

When I say "free" I mean free of regulation, cost, and any number of factors that would restrict ownership. Mine would be the G36C of which I have an airsoft gas blowback version. Runners up would be the FN SCAR-L, the Magpul Masada ACR, and the L85.
