Reading mainly, the odd bit of writing too, though I'm not working on anything at the moment.

Cycling (though I broke a spoke this weekend - third one on the same wheel, but I don't have $300 for a new wheel set) doing massive, noncompetitive bike rides (60+ miles), reading good classic literature and modern, intelligent humor and scientific journals for the masses (Scientific American, Discovery, etc), as well as Electronic Gaming Monthly.
TV plays a pretty small role, maybe 1-2 hours per week but less than 5 (excluding video games). Dance Dance Revolution - even though it's game related - I've been looking at getting in better shape on bad weather days with my new Christmas-fresh DDR game. Spending time with my lovely girlfriend and having high-minded conversations with friends that vacillate wildly from the properties of supercooled helium to the calculus of toilet humor also rank highly on my list.
Writing occasionally and making (game) maps in the Hammer World Editor (Source engine).

I'm an avid trumpeter, love Star Wars with an unhealthy passion, reading mostly sci-fi (about evenly spread between classics and new stuff), watching movies, directing movies, juggling :D, and possibly my favourite debating.

I find it fascinating how diverse people are connected so tightly by a single element like video games.

I enjoy making highly intricate presentations on MS Power Point. You may laugh, but you would be surprised what someone with a holiday weekend and no place to go can accomplish with custom animation and autoshapes.

Me and my mates play some pretty hardcore games of Ultimate Frisbee. You may laugh, but these games are just as intense (perhaps more intense) as any football match. Plus, it's the only "sport" I don't suck muffins at.

I do some PbP Roleplaying on a Star Wars message board. You may laugh, but... well, you probably have the right to.

Reading - I'm a voracious reader, when I have the time, devouring good stories of many genres, with a massive interest in automotive (anything from Jeremy Clarkson to full car mechanic textbooks), military or computing non-fiction.

Writing - I'm a writer of varying quality - some of my military and dystopian stories aren't bad (I've a mind to get a couple of them published at some time), while my science fiction stories are pure bilge - and occasionally, I'll find that I have the urge to push out several thousand words. I tend towards the verbose - average short story lengths of about three thousand words, average chapter lengths for the novellas/novels of about five thousand words.

Computer Programming: I don't really know that much about the area, only knowing BASIC well enough to write anything of use, but I'm trying to learn C/C++. I'll also be trying to learn Python as well soon.

Political Discussion: I'm not going to elaborate right now.

Some that will hopefully be big hobbies of the future:

Driving: As mentioned above, I have a huge interest in cars. Hopefully, I'll be able to afford a good set of cars in the future and I'll be taking them out for occasional thrashes at circuit events.

Flying: I also want to own an aeroplane when I'm older (ambitious, no?). A Cessna 172/182 would serve me well. Even if I can't afford the aeroplane, I still want to learn how to fly.

Toys, toys, toys! I am a little bit of a fan of figurines, gadgets & small toys to make the room look a lot cooler. I adopted this fascination when I was living in Japan and trailing through Akihabra's many MANY stores full of glass cabinets and geeky fans.

So yeah, I don't have a huge collection but enougth to keep me happy :-)

I try to play hockey as often as I can... it's hard to get enough people for a game, but I'm not above suiting up and playing in goal for the kids in my neighbourhood that are 10 years younger than I am.

reading (you rarely see me with out a book in my hand), writing (stories and I also enter a lot of essay contests) Manga/anime, and watching movies with friends. most activites that require coordination ushually end up in me (and those around me) getting severly injured. And when I try to cook things tend to blow up/catch fire so I try to avoid those kinds of activities, or at lest get them on tape.

Free time? What's that?

Most of my hobbies are in the "I have to get back into them" phase at the moment. I used to be into origami, paintball, reading books/comics, graphic design, and taking hikes with my dog but those have mostly been abandoned in the last couple years.

About all I do these days is work, do homework, go to class, play some CS, and read. After daylight savings time I'll take the dog out for hikes/running around the park but I don't see me picking up any of the rest any time in the next five years...

Well in the little time off I have between cleaning up after my family and work, I am now building a game review portfolio. Aside from that if I can manage it I like to work out a bit, watch some anime, and of course forum posting.
