People, As much as I love the YES/NO option, why and to whom? I have thought of a bunch of different battles but I want your OPINION. For the love of god, have some fun with it! Here's one I thought of earlier: Jedi vs Predator. Predator is a pure killer, superior strength with futurist and alterations to primal type weapons. Even with the ability to blend, I still think he's screwed. Jedi's will have the ability to "feel" the presence, along with other force techniques and a lightsaber. If the Predator can make a surprise attack somehow, possibly he can take the win. Otherwise, Jedi can deflect the incoming shoulder laser bolts and slice the Pred's weapons without a second swing. I could go further, but why? Most likely winner, Jedi.
Well, don't forget that all of the Jedi Masters actually had a huge amount of force power per-se. I believe that Ki-Adi-Mundi (the old guy with the tall head) was a master, but his when measured, his actual affinity with the force was pretty average.
Hmmm i think a bloodthirster could beat a jedi... Or Gods could beat them... Theres probly several things that could beat a jedi.
Jedi master vs. girl from portal with companion cube.... companion cube > all
Jedi's are human. They're just more awesome than normal ones.
There are plenty of ways to beat a Jedi Master, but it really depends on the Jedi in question. A Jedi master jumps up to confront the big bads in Attack of the Clones and is quickly dispatched with a blaster, so shots do sometimes get through. A Jedi would probably have trouble stopping a bomb blast or a flamethrower or even something as simple as a fire hose if they weren't expecting it. Can a Jedi be beaten? Of course. Unless you're going to consider that Jedi have the power of poetic license on thier side, which means that things generally play out in their favor. Strictly in concept though, they're nothing near impossible to defeat. - J
Jedi Vs Godzilla. Hmm.... I wonder who will win. The big G hands down. Jedi Vs Gordon Freeman. Tough battle but at the end of the day, the jedi's brains have to be washed off Gordon's heavy metal boots. Jedi vs your mum. Easy one. Your mother would crush the poor fool to death. Even Jedi have their boundries. They can't kill everything.
i could kill a jedi. they cant kill people or they become sith
Ummm no | |
Depends... what kind of Jedi are we talking about here?
you already said it, i also think that someof the naruto chars with the right techniques could defeat them too, neo and smith from matrix, maybe jc denton with that nano tech made sword that is a rip-off of the lightsaber with a explanation
Darth Vader: The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant to the power of the forc-
The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny: http://youtube.com/watch?v=w8ye4mYR878 Now put Jedi in there, and youll have youre answer.
ABSOLUTELY. A forum I frequent has a huge tourney where approximately equivalent people are put in tournaments. The Jedi are almost all heavy hitters, along with the likes of Hellboy, 'lesser' 40k characters (Aun'Shi and The Red Terror as opposed to Space Marine faction leaders or fully decked out Tau suits or Old One Eye), high level D&D characters, Deadpool (from Marvel) or his DC basis Deathstroke, Master Chief, Broken Tusk (who's a really scary predator) etc. etc. A lot of names no one here would recognize, it's a niche market. From what I recall, Mace Windu won the very first HH league against Hellboy, mostly because the voters at the time didn't realise that the RHoD wouldn't be undone by a lightsaber, and Exar Kun won the very first SHH before we implemented a new rule that turned him into a violator. Since then, no Jedi / Sith has gotten past round 2 in the SHH and the jedi, while generally strong seeds, haven't won a HH. Thus: yeah, jedi are easy to beat. Precog doesn't help you when all you see is you being killed.
I flipped through a comic once where Darth Vader fought Boba Fett. Vader obviously won, but Boba Fett didn't make it easy for him. He even almost had him beat.
Vader vs Magneto?! Whoever wins we lose.
Jedi vs. Batman... The force is no match for high-tech gizmos and black tights.
I'll elaborate on my yes, Van Helsing.
why not? i'm no monster. killing is a parth to the dark side. also lets say i'm a Arcon from starcraft.
Jedi vs Borg... certainly the first say 10 or so Borg go down like nothing, but as each death grants the collective knowledge they adapt... something has to be able to stop a lightsaber... Plus, if Jedi are not immune to being assimilated then 1 Jedi downed gives the force to the collective. I'm not sure what stops a force infused Borg collective. Also Sarah Kerrigan, Psi-storm has to play havoc with force powers. Once again, infested Jedi make a collective stronger.
Jedi vs Terminator | |
To quote neverending story, "No! You don't understand anything!" But yes, a Jedi is still totally beatable. - J
agree. jeti vs. Jack sparrow's weird incredable luck during combat.
Yes. Jedi's still die when overwhelmed.
Dark Pheonix (Jean grey) Controls all matter down to atomic level... the force... win for jean grey. Just so you know i'm not on about the movie one i'm on about the comic one cos movie pheonix was a pussy. But the whole idea of the jedi doesn't work for me. To much crap happens that doesn't seem to build them as indivduals. Mace windu got done by a cheap shot, yet the force gives him vision a bit into the future, so surely he saw it coming. But in most 1 on 1's a jedi would win. When you think that a jedi can move objects with their mind, they could easily hold anyone up in the air without any retaliation and stick a saber in their gut. Gordon Freeman, lose, Duke Nukem, lose, Jack Sparrow, lose. I even think the borg would lose, but its more about the character. Jedi only kill if they have to, they aim for peaceful resolution first, so would they attack the borg. As has been mentioned if the borg assimlated a jedi, game over, stop the borg with force. Its easier to just not go into jedi cos of the light side/dark side thing. The Borg would surley fall to the dark side, but then would they turn against eachother? i know they are one concious mind, but would the force seperate them... ooo my brain is dripping out of my ears...
If Jedi v. Predator becomes a game, I'm buying it!
You guys rock! What a great conversation!
Van Helsing was an 80 something year old researcher...How exactly does that make him capable of beating a Jedi?
Beings who could possible beat a Jedi: -Chuck Norris (Obviously)
The Nameless One, eventually
For the record; the force doesn't give you actual precog. It just kind of guides you in directions of not-being-killed, unless you're a crazy good Jedi (like Yoda) and you sit down and meditate long and hard. Also, no, the jedis can NOT, absolutely CAN NOT lightsaber and use telekinesis at the same time. Because they haven't ever, ever, EVER been shown able to do so. It just takes too much concentration.
Actually, I'd argue that only force could stop a barrel going 100,000 km/s.

Hi People!
I was watching Return of the Jedi the other day and I got to thinking "If a Jedi Master went up again some other fighter (non-Jedi) would it even be a fight? So, I got to thinking...I have no idea!
So, in a Jedi vs ? who would beat a Jedi and why? (and yes, dark/light Jedi are grouped together..don't bitch)
Can't wait to see the results!
