Hello people, I'm asking what your very personal favorite escapist article is. Reasons? Sure, if you want. Mainly I just wanna see which they are.

For me, it has to be "OMG Girlz Don't Exist on teh Intarweb!!!!!1" (link: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/issues/issue_45/272-OMG-Girlz-Don-t-Exist-on-teh-Intarweb-1 )
Mainly cause, well...it's funny to me, and way too true for the average gamer's mentality.

I had that on picked out before I even clicked on the link.
To be honest, I'm a little disappointed.

One of the few Escapist articles about racing: even better than the real thing.

While I get continual enjoyment from "teh Intarweb" it's mostly because I take pleasure in watching Whitney get embarassed about the article whenever it comes up, or its comment thread bumps it's way back up to the top. ;)

I do have a bunch of favorites though, especially since I read all the articles (before they get published, no less). Here's some of my favorite "old school" articles.

One of my favorites is Shawn "Kwip" Williams' Learning the Gaming Way - I always love his writing, and that's still one of my favorites.

READ GAME is my favorite of Allen Varney's articles, by far. The first reason is that Jon, Artist extraordinaire, used my handwriting in the sticky notes in the article art. The second reason is that the topic is some of my favorite games, and it's really quite fascinating. (Note: The art in this article is especially cool in the PDF)

Also, I enjoy Max Steele's Don't Roleplay the Bugs even more now, as I have (since the time of the writing) gotten to know starring player Newton. I helped beta test those modules BTW, but (thankfully) those play sessions weren't included in the article.

Finally, an honorable mention goes to Setting the Stage, by yours truly. Not particularly because of my writing, but mostly because of the interviewing and research that went into it, which was absolutely fascinating. Especially the phone interview with Jeff and Stephanie, who were basically there at the beginning.

There's more, but this is probably enough for anyone looking for some good articles of issues past ;)

I'd Rather Game Than Read A Book for the debate it provoked.
