Anybody else waste their money watching this pile o' crap?

I'd rather jam forks in my eyes

i dont get it. whats meet the spartans? anything to do with 300?

i think is a parody of 300 made by the ones of scary movie, after of a epic movie, i dont think they will make a decent parody again, also, dont atch alien vs predator 2

man hollywood is really screwing up the things these days, and yet we still going to watch the sh$t they are making these days

It's only worth a Limewire download to me...

Think of it as "Epic Movie 2", with other genres and weird crap thrown in by the writers.

Definitely not going. If there's anything I learned from forking out money for Scary Movie 4...

In my always humble opinion movies like these should never be put in theaters. It all started with Scary movie and now its just degraded so much that a bunch of hacks with a studio grant thinks its a funny idea to rip off jokes from teen magazines and put it on the big screen. Whats worse is its going up ageist Rambo and most likely will do better because their cashing in on celebrity's fame. Whats worse the movie industry will whine and cry about how bad sales are at the end of the year, meet the Spartans should of been one of those segments before an MTV awards ceremony.

And thats all I have to say about that.

Well, let me put it like this...My opinion was that, well, it was better than I thought it was going to be, but yes, it is still a stupid movie. I think my 8 bucks was well spent, because I went with 3 friends, making it all the funnier as we laughed and exchanged comments during the movie. I would never spend money to rent this on DVD, so I figured just to watch it now. It was stupid, but then again that was the point of the whole thing...
"Leave Britney Alone!!!" lol, watch the video on YouTube.com if you haven't yet.

The first and second Scary Movie were the only good ones of any of the spoof movies, because they took the horror movie stereotypes and made them funny. You need to have seen all the classic horror movies first to understand and appreciate them. The first one in fact, was hilarious due to how it made fun the the very set of horror classics.

I saw it. I didn't pay, so, I thought it was decent.

Here's the equation for it

(Old internet jokes - humor) / intelligence of viewers = Profit

Yeah, they think that putting out a new shitty parody movie every year is a good idea. Unfortunately for them, they just keep getting shittier and shittier.

I made the mistake of seeing Epic Movie. I won't be fooled again.

The first three scary movies were decent at best, but after that things just went deeply into the shitter. I happened to walk in on someone watching date movie, so i watched for about ten minutes, and now i have a personal vendetta against everyone who writes, directs, acts in, produces, or watches those movies. I've never seen anything that ridiculously unfunny in my life.

We've got two theatres in my local mall, the big one (with an animatronic fire-breathing dragon on the ceiling) plays all the first-run stuff, but the small one does second-run showings for $3.50 a head. I just wait for stuff like Meet the Spartans to go to the cheap theatre. Even though I actually rather LIKE the scary/epic/date movie series, it's NOT worth thirteen bucks.

shitty movie, shitty idea, i gave up after scary movie 2 but i have a feeling it'll still make boat loads of cash because lets face it the lowest common denominator loves shitty movies.

I just saw the ad. I don't want to see any more. Why has society stooped so low? What have we done so wrong!?

epic movie kinda ...well sucked balls. theres paroidy then there's stelling jokes word for word

With the like of Cloverfield and Rambo out I can only hope that no one is dumb enough to spend their money on this painfully obvious sin against all that is good with cinema

I lost a bet, and so seeing this was my punishment.
Please do not acuse me of retardation.

Ye that movie sucked ASS!!!!!!!!!!

...and this needed to be resurrected why?

You could have just given that 5000 gp worth of diamond dust to me.

...wow.

Mega thread necro, there.
But when in Rome. No, haven't watched it.

to quote jeremy clarkson:"id much rather blow torch my nipples off!"

You need a full diamond for Resurrection/Raise Dead spells generally, don't you?

These movies are a scourge on the movie industry, There writers should be sent to a desert island and left there for all time...

I saw about 15 minutes of it on tv, and it was kind of funny in a few parts, but generally idiotic.

I keep going to watch them, hoping I'll be surprised, and it'll be good. That hasn't happened. And, yes, I saw Date Movie, Epic Movie, Meet The Spartans, and Disaster Movie. By the way, Meet The Spartans IS Epic Movie 2.

I didn't even bother with it, honestly to this day knowing that that movie exists is what keeps me up at night trembling with fear.

I've seen it at a friend's house (he's really into that kind of stuff), but I never really liked it. It just makes me want to see one of the Naked Gun movies again, they did this kind of thing much better in my opinion.

Hmm...on fact-check, apparently you just need "diamonds" roughly equaling that worth (I remember diamond dust from somewhere, but I can't quite remember where). And that's just for Raise Dead; the others all require holy water as well.

Unless you do Reincarnate, but I'm not sure I'm willing to take the metaphor that far.

I suppose - logically - that Diamond Dust would operate the same as full Diamonds since they're identical material, just one is rather more powdered than the other. I wonder if 5000gp of Diamond Dust is heavier than 5000gp of Diamonds?

I guess it depends on the economic conditions of where you try to use it. Gold is relatively stable in worth for its weight, but people usually want their diamonds in pretty format, so you could say that a greater amount of dust is required than actual gems. It's probably much less bulky, though.

...come to think of it, wouldn't that mean it's easier to resurrect people in cities with high inflation rates?

Probably. It's very hard to tell the quality of diamond dust, so any jeweler would probably value it using the weight for the lowest-quality diamonds.

I work with a mythos in which gems have considerable (inducible) magical properties even when ground up, though, so any players in my games would have an easy time determining the value. Higher-quality diamond matrix = bigger bang when you use a pinch of it as a bonus component for fireball.
