Post your random pieces of trivia no one else would know because you somehow managed to find it.

The shortest peice of music known is by Walking Concert titled Run to Be Born. The track is 8 seconds long.
Woot! thousandth post!
Excellent. My thread is working! (Malevolence)

Rabid Toilet:
Glass has properties of both solids and liquids, and is thus essentially undefined.

Shut up already.

Anarchemitis:
Seriously, shut up about Glass' state of matter. If I see another argument, people are going to get reported.

And before anyone gets any ideas, No Chuck Norris Facts, because frankly, no one cares, and Girlysprite buried the hatchet with her little fact, so no more sex-related facts. We all have imaginations and I think that suffices.

I got a lot of useless info... I'll only post one or two (for now).

Here's one. Canes that cast a Shadow Outline of Napolean's Features were carried by his supporters after the Bourbons outlawed all portraits of him.

That's enough for now (go Ripley's!)

Not exactly.
Having no natural predators the Dodo's were able to simply gorge themselves never needing to flee. As such they grew too fat, and when sailor's arrived, though they once could fly, their wings were now nolonger strong enough to support their fat bodies.

After the allies liberated the Nazi concentration camps, all the homosexuals were sent straight to jail.
Kind of Ironic.

...Wow... I never knew that...

Here's another one.

This is from a Ripley's Calender.

"Daniel M'Mburugu, a 73 year-old Kenyan farmer, was attacked by a Leopard. He fought back by tearing out the animals tongue and then killing it using only his bare hands."

My only response to that is "Holy crap."

I knew that ant thing. NOw I'm not sure about this one, but I'm almost positive it's true.

It is impossible for a person to draw a Perfect circle.

The ratio of rats to humans in any city is approximately 1:1.

There is no such thing as a perfect circle. Think about it. On an atomic level, its not going to be rounded.

Well, they don't tend to teach children (at least in America) the Nazis rounded up homosexuals and sent them to the concentration camps right along with the Jews in the first place. Most of the people I know are very shocked to learn where the pink triangle came from.

I'll add a bit to this, though. The man who cracked the Nazi's Enigma code, the breaking of which ultimately allowed the Allies to win World War II, was himself arrested and convicted for being homosexual.

There's irony for you.

Keeping with that theme in a very loose-linked logic chain sort of way, I'll throw this in the pot for obscure facts:

The last words of Socrates were "Crito, we owe a cock to Asclepius. Do pay it. Don't forget."

The Principality of Andorra never took part in the Versailles Peace Treaty, signing a seperate peace with the Kaiser's government in 1957.

The city-states of Athens and Sparta didn't sign a peace treaty until 1994.

Not quite. And anyway, it's not exactly hard to make one even shorter; someone probably did.

How about this one?

Up until the year 2005, it was illegal for Native Americans to enter the city of Boston.

(No, seriously. It's only been legal for three years.)

My response is "Poor Leopard". I mean c'mon, if you aren't gonna treat your pets right, they'll fight back and its not their fault.

Whenever a country defaults on its national debt, the result is almost always a sustained period of prosperity. This began in ancient debt-crippled Athens, where a new mayor came into office on a platform of "shrugging off of the burdens" of debt. The resulting prosperity led to the rise of the city that is still considered the primariy inspiration for all western civilization.

Elephants actually are frightened of Mice. I saw it on Mythbusters, man.

The Nazi's invented Badminton.

The original recipe for Fritos was changed after it was discovered it inadvertently created and contained Crystal Meth.

In 1933, the most popular name both for men and women was Milt.

the first is true, the last 3 are fake, but where are they from?

Glass is a liquid, not a solid - you can see this when you see windows on centuries old houses, the glass is thicker on the bottom of the pane.

Every glass of water from your tap has been drunk by at least nine other people before you.

In Washington State, it wasn't illegal to commit beastiality until, somwhere around, 2004, this change came about when a man died. He blead to death from the horse literally ripping him a new one.

In the states, no one has died of old age since 1974. That was when they eliminated it as a valid cause of death.

Your first point is not exactly true; they used to line glass with lead (that is of course very dense), and there is also evidence that the glass makers, because it's very difficult to get a perfectly flat piece of glass, would put the thicker end at the bottom (because the pane is more structurally stable that way).

The second quote should technically be "It is very statistically probable that each glass of water you drink has passed through at least nine other people...
