The tune you hear in Click Clock Wood in Banjo & Kazooie

My phone won't allow me to change my text message tone to anything other than the supplied defaults, so I have to express my "uniqueness" (sp?) through my ringtone. Currently a new call on my mobile is heralded to the tune of "Resonance" by TM Revolution. Those anime types may recognise it as the first opening theme for Soul Eater.

Had that for a while, so am considering a change soon.

Occasionally the FFVII victory fanfare, but usually it's the MGS codec call (I've got mp3s of most of the sound effects, my old slidephone had the codec open/close sounds on the slide too, so awesome...)

Oh, and on rare occasions I use the Samurai Pizza Cats theme.

Yea...mine is the ringtone from the movie One Missed Call, more or less for the scared/confused looks i get from the people around me all those times it goes off in GameStop or somewhere.

Mine is currently 'It's not over yeah!' by The Klaxons, but mine once went off in Geography years ago, and it was that purple dragon song. (Not Spyro... I can't remember it's name, but it was like Crazy Frog).
Embarrassing times.

I join the ranks of people who use default rings for their ring tones and express nothing but disgust towards anyone who uses anything other.

The codec sound from the Metal Gear solid series. I didn't play the series but damn it does make a good ringtone.

My cell phone rings to the battle music from Chrono Trigger. I challenge anyone to out-nerd that.

I'll take that challenge. My text alert is the transformation noise from Transformers.

I, like Dim from the Super Flash Bros., have the zelda theme as my ringtone.

If my current phone supported MP3 files, it would be the guitar solo for One Winged Angel by The Black Mages. As it is, I have to settle for a .midi of Call Me by Blondie.

For eight whole years, my ringtone has been the same... well, apart from a couple of weeks when I got my current phone and the midi version didn't transfer across so I had to wait until I got home to find the CD and put it on there in mp3 format.

The piece of music in question? 'Julia' from Final Fantasy 8, as heard in the first dream sequence. This, in fact:

Which geeky ringtone? The end credits song of season 1 of Eureka? Or the samba-version of 'Still Alive' that plays from every radio in portal?

Oh, or my personal favorite! The chorus to 'Oh No You Didn't', the tune from the commercials for Mercenaries 2: World In Flames whenever an administrator from my school's calling. (The Savannah College of Art and Design does not exactly pride itself on customer service.)

(Also, on a less geeky but still amusing note, I've got 'Rock Me, Sexy Jesus' from Hamlet 2 to warn me I'm being called by an annoying person.)

EDIT: But what I really want is the codec call sound from the MGS series!

I run too fast. Also too tall to be kicked in the back of the knee.

Well it was the "!" sound. But since I got a new, cheaper phone, it just vibrates

I have something I didn't notice in this (necroed) thread. The Deja Vu version of Vampire Killer.

I'd prefer the true-to-the-original NSF Vampire Killer but ripping that is a *pain*.

Also, my older one was truly unique - a .mid of The Guardian Legend title theme.

For a while, I had Emerald Hill Zone as my ringer, which I've since changed to Mystic Cave Zone.

Also, my text alert sound is the Xbox 360 Achievement "Bloop."

I know a few folks who have that Codex bleep from MGS. It just sounds like a normal ringtone to non-MGS players, but to those in the know you get a knowing nod.

But I don't use that one I use "Crakit" by Marc M. If you've ever been on SickAnimation you'll know what it's like.

My text tone is final fantasy VII's Victory Fanfare, and my call tone is FFVII's Boss Battle theme.

Other call tones i've had in the past are:
the ghostbusters theme,
C & C music factory "Everybody Dance"
Still Alive from portal
and Dead again by Possible Oscar.

Though i have to admit i was shocked when my phone went off in a class to the FFVII theme and several people cheered.
It seems i have a class filled with gamers.

my old text message alert was the sound that the MGS guards make when an "!" appears over their heads it was awesome until it went off in a crowded room and everyone stared at me, kinda ironic

Bah-dah-duh-daaaaaaaaa!

The 'treasure get' sound from Zelda when I get a text and the Chrono Trigger theme tune when I get a call.

Geekily Awesome!
