I was a clumsy child, my dad banned me from riding my bicycle to get me to heal haha.

My most noticeable scars.
I fell off an old swing set and ripped a long cut open on my stomcach...
And when I was about 13 I passed out on my bicycle on a gutter... long gravel rash up my right arm.
I also have a cut on the side of my left knee from falling out of a treehouse...
A tyre burn on my left arm from holding a bicycle seat while rollerblading...
A light bulb burn from a reptile heat lamp on left arm...
Like a tiger claw swipe on my right leg from bicycle pedals..
Not to mention the many other scars that I cant really remember the cause.

I am really surprised I have never actually needed stitches or broken a bone.

Scar on my leg... tried to catch a falling 20inch CRT (for my gaming rig) from hitting the pavement. Geekiest scar I've ever received.

I have a HUGE scar on the left side of my back. I was in a pretty bad car crash 13 years ago; broke 2 ribs and punctured my left lung. I'm pretty self conciuos about it, that's why a year after the accident I decided to work out as hard as I can so that I can feel good about myself and not mind the scar as much (to balance it let's say, I was very thin and because of the exercise I was able to add some muscle). My whife is always talking about how cool it would be to treat the scar with a tatoo or something (not a bad idea) but I'm not too fond of tatoos really.

PedroSteckecilo:
I have a massive scar across my stomach that people gasp at whenever I take my shirt off, it's about 10cm long (4 inches for you americans). People are always like "Oh my god, what happened?"

The terrifying story is...

I had a surgery done for pyloric stenosis when I was an infant, apparently the doc told my mom the scar would be a tiny little thing that I would never notice, boy was he wrong.

Other than that I have a ton on my hands and a small one on my arm.

Hey pedro i know how you feel i had he exact same thing when i was a baby now i have a freaking scar on my stomach and people always bother me about it. Next to that i have this odd little scar on the top of my wrist and i dont have a shit clue how its there

you will all laugh at this one. about two years ago, my parents started to give my dog soft food. but sense they left early for work, I got stuck with it. so every morning I have that dog in my face whining his ass off because he wants his food. on one such occasion, I was opening his dog can as usual, when the phone rang, I got startled and sliced my right pointer finger open down to the bone with the opened can of dog food.
as I was thinking how best to destroy my phone, I was noticing that an awful lot of blood was pouring out of my hand. I quickly ran to the bathroom to wash it, but the door was closed. my sister was taking a shower, when I rushed in she asked what I was doing and I said I had cut myself. shae asked if it could wait. I was like, uh, not really. so their I am washing the wound and gazing at my shiny white bone for about 3 min. unfortunatly, It wouldn't stop bleeding. thats when my sister got done with her shower, put a towel on and looked at my finger, and her face:priceless. she screamed, and called my mom.
of course she couldn't dfo anything about it, so I got shipped off to school anyway. thats what I call a bad beat.

Lets see...

I have a big one across one side of my stomach from kidney surgery (that gives me a roll even though I'm not very chubby at all).

One at the very bottom of my stomach from some other surgery (Which pushes my whole little gut up which is embarassing).

A tiny one on my thumb from when I shredded it on a torn up beer can in my garden.

A little circular one on my shin from when i got a rake stuck in there (Yes, I did the comical classic of not seeing, and stepping on a rake head, sadly it jumped up from the ground with the force and ended up stuck in my leg :S I don't recall if the handle hit my face or not lol)

And finally two SERIOUSLY embarrassing ones horizontally across my groin about an inch apart, one above the other, from yet more surgery as a kid, why so embarrassing? Hair doesn't grow on scar tissue, three sets of pubic hair, anyone? :P

I got one side of my right leg from sliding on the road after being pushed off a scooter when going going down a hill :S (also broke my arm from that)

umm 2 random scars on my left leg, they look cool but no idea how i got them.

my thumb from having stapled it as a kid of about 4, stupid.

one on my cheeck (face, just incase) from the chicken pocks again at about 3

and my best scar, a red kinda triangle thing sorta like an arrow tip i spose, that is right next to my right eye almost on the eyelid, not big but cool. it looks a bit like a rash but not really and thats from being stung by a jellie fish while swimming ta the beach once, last year i think.

My scar isn't nearly as interesting as the story behind it. I have a roughly circular scar on my left knee about an inch and a half in diameter.

When I was in high school there was a railroad behind my house that lead out of town. It was rarely in use, but plenty of old railway cars were stored there, and they were all linked together. So obviously the best thing to do was climb them, and run along the top jumping from car to car. It was pretty fun, but some of the cars had a last rung bolted to the top of the walkway that stuck up into the air just enough to slip a foot under. Naturally my foot got hooked under one while making a landing, and I fell onto the metal walkway on top of the train car, which is very similar to a cheese grater. This took a large chunk out of my knee, and I could see a severed vein, which covered my entire lower leg in blood on during the walk home.

The aftermath is fun too. No serious injury, but I had to cut the hanging flesh from my leg with a knife. It hadn't been entirely torn off, and was connected by a thread of live skin.

The funny thing is at the time it didn't really bother me, but I get a little queasy thinking about it now.

I have a horizontal scar across mt chest and a dent right in between my eyes. From when I was riding my bike down a very steep hill and when my brakes didn't work I panicked and crashed right into a car flipping over it I hit a brick wall (the hill had a cemetery on the right and I happen to be on the right) I had to have stitches across my chest, broke two of my ribs and fractured my collar bone (thank god for insurance). The second scar was from when I was at a fourth of July part of a bottle rocket bounced off a car (It did set off the car alarm) I turned and it hit me right in between the eyes and I now have a circle shaped scar/dent where the damn thing hit me.

Christ, by comparison to most of you guys I'm quantitatively fucking multilated. I'm estimating I probably have close to 20-25 prominent scars on my body, although it gets a bit sketchy since my skin is quite pale and after years of healing they mostly just have a textural difference from my skin, keloids nonwithstanding.

When I was born the doctor accadentaly cut open my pinky finger. You can still see the scar.

I also have one on my right wrist from a scab that I kept picking at. I tell people it's a bullet wound.

Apologies for the bad humor. Violence is never funny...unless it's happening to someone else.

Small one along the length of my right thumb that I cut with a stanley knife while cutting out airfix model pieces. ^^' And a teeny tiny one after I was bitten on my left wrist by my uncle's Rottweiler, luckily only one tooth actually penetrated.

I have one on my gut.(Note:I share the name with a soldier named martin who got shot and had a stomach wound that showed his digestive tract, was used for science to study human digestion) About the same really, forgot how deep it was,was really young, maybe all the way to my intestines but has since healed. I think it was caused by a flesh eating virus(I jest not). lucky I guess, nothing left of it except a scar that look like a large lower case b(or d)

I've got a scar anklet - it goes all the way around. I had an accident with a quad bike and some barbed wire.

I don't know why it is that people are so interested in scars, i know i am, i reckon they're awesome, perhaps it's the stories behind them.

I have some scars.. My biggest is across my right thigh. I was cycling over a bridge, deep in my own thoughs as usual... What I did not notice was that a sharp, rusty metal bar was pointing out from the railing. I went smack into it, cut my favourite pants and got a nice bill from the doctor.

Another is located in my hand(another cycling accident actually). My friend was riding the bike, while I sat on his steering bar. I was in a hurry, so we were going quite fast, and when we reached a downhill I slipped off the bike and landed in front of it, so my friend ran over me and bit the dust as well.. I really cut my hand trying to absorb the fall. You should have seen the face of the apothecary lady when I went down to the store and bought bandages. She asked if I needed a bag to carry them, but I just showed her my blood soaked hand and said that I wouldn't need it 'cause I was going to use them right away ^^

Finally I have a couple of minor scars in my face from bad shaving experiences. Luckily they've healed well, and they're nearly not visible x)

Wait, I have two new scares now. Some street punk thought he could mugg me and put two bullets in my gut, but not before broke his jaw. Have you ever been shot? it really... really... REALLY fucking hurts.

I have one little finger shorter than the other because of how it healed after a dog bit my hand through a chuffing letter box.

Also have lots of small scars on my left arm and hand from fallinf off a bike

On my right arm I have a short but wide scar where I cut myself with a knife.

Lets see....I have a pretty long scar across my left hand where I accidentally sliced it open while practicing knife tricks.

Got a good one on my heel where I stepped on a chunk of metal whilst in a a junkyard.

Got a large scar right alongside my left shinbone from a massive splinter sticking out of a fallen tree as I was running through the woods.

Got another one on my knee where I tripped and a nice jagged rock sliced right through it.

And I have a bunch of little ones all over my arms and hands from various accidents.

Back in '92 the left side of my face was destroyed in a skiing accident. After two years of surgery, the doctors put it back together again. My face looks unscathed now, and the scars that were once on it have healed very well; however I have one small scar on my cheek (where they surgically pushed my cheek bone back into place) and one over my left tear duct, down the nose (where they did a surgery in '94/95 to finally reconstruct my tear duct and stop a massive staff infection that came from it); both scars are very faded and hard to see. There are also hidden scars across the top of my jaw where they fused that back together, and on the right upper area of my forehead under the hairline.

Other than that I have many scars on my arms and legs from cat scratches and a very aggressive dog that continually bit me over a period of eight years. There is a minor scar on my hand from when a gecko bit me. And a permanent scar on my stomach when a goose bit me as a child (and was thereafter promptly eaten). Outside of those and the regular 'falling off bicycle' scars, I think that about covers it.

Not really a scar, but my little finger on my left hand is slightly skewed from the time I broke it.

Most of my scars are on my hands due to my illustrious career working in a McDonalds kitchen a few years ago. Other than that I got a long scar on my upper left arm which I got falling off a half pipe while drunk (I had no skateboard), I got one that links to that from trying to surf a staircase on a mattress and gashed it on the thermostat and I got one in my leg that's massive from trying to kick a road sign in a drunken rage and missing entirely using my shin to connect. I still have a dented leg to this day.

I have a line of about 6 from my hip to my knee from smashing my femur in a motorbike accident.

As well as a 3 foot scar that goes from half way down the back of my thigh to my knee, across to the other side of my knee and half way down my calf (kinda s shaped) from shearing off the top of my tibular in the same accident,

and a scar though my eyebrow from the same thing.

a 6 incher on the line between my stomach and my pelvis from when they took a bone graft for the femur 18 months later when it hadnt healed (the bone graft site has healed nice and jagged so if i sit in just the right way the elastic from my boxers crushes the soft tissue against it very sore)

Plus some little ones like the one of the back of my hand after jabbing a soldering iron into it not paying attention. and the cool cresent shaped one on my wrist where i caught it on a pedistal angle grinder, again not paying attention.

Scar in my left brow, barely visible now. There's only a small area where there's no hair. Got it when when my circulation said "Fuck you" and I fell forehead first on a steel pipe...

I have a 4 inch scar just up and to right of my groin, when I was a young child one of my testicles didn't descend correctly, I had to be sliced open by a very nice surgeon, who used his finger tip to push it down into my scrotum.

Good times.

So yes, as a child, my balls were literally fingered by a dude (pfft, wasn't even a catholic priest...whatta noob!)

Shit i have the same (that on the rist). I'm not quate sure from where it is but it can have something to do with when I (age of 5) put my hand in a furnace(runed on coal) and picked up some flaming coals. The burns heald whithout trace but i think the scar is from where my hand touched the hot iron (the furnace was made from iron). I also have a scar on my forehead from when i hitted my head on the edge of iron table(i wish i was making it off). I have four scars on my legs from operation. I could have some scars on my back but my skin is quate pale so i could not tell 100%.

i was having a bad day, and the vending machine vended, and my product got stuck.
i put on my steel knuckles and beat the hell out of the control pad. right arm a constant blur, the knuckles slipped off and i kept going. i had several cuts on my right hand, and it was shaking and bleeding quite alot. i then made an about-face and mule kicked the machine (right leg cocked at the knee) and all was made better by the satisfying *plunk* of my item hitting the receiver.
the incident made a good story and i got an A in my Creative Writing my last year in high school.

i have scars all over, but that's the only instance i found entertaining.

When i was little I cut my eyebrow on the corner of my parents bed, and recently i fell off a trampoline and hit my head on a sharp rock, giving me a good 3 inch gash in the back of my head and a trip to the emergency room.
