My favourite flavour is chocolate, but the best ice-cream I've ever had was Ben & Jerry's Half-Baked.

So what's your favourite?

I think we are all in agreement that vanilla is dull and boring, right?

Unless you've tried Mackie's vanilla. Then again, I'm not sure if you can get it outside of Scotland...

The fact that it comes from Scotland makes it interesting and fun. It is now above Vanilla in the ice cream heirarchy. Regular Vanilla is still dull, though.

The main Mackie's ice cream, the one in the blue and cream coloured tub, isn't actually vanilla flavoured, it's unflavoured: just plain ice cream. It is absolutely gorgeous though. They've apparently just released a vanilla flavoured one too, so I apologise if that's the one you were referring to. You can get the plain Mackie's just about anywhere in England now, and I saw the honeycomb one once. I come from Aberdeen originally, and the first time I saw Mackie's in a freezer cabinet down here, I panic bought the lot!

The blue tub is the one I'm talking about, yes, but I'm sure it's really vanilla-flavoured. The package might say "plain", but some crisps say that and we all know that means Ready Salted. It's good to hear Mackie's branching out though, I thought it was just a regional thing like Cream 'o' Galloway.
A profession shall be created for me. Involving ice cream. And the world will cease to be scary.

Ben & Jerry's Cookie Dough is a current fave. Also their chocolate flavours. And carte D'Or Mescarpone. Shit, I feel hungry now...

I'm more into brands. Graeters, based out of Ohio, makes a superior ice cream. I've also heard that Blue Bell ice cream, in Texas, is a strong contender for America's best ice cream.

Definitely no vanilla. Unfortunately, to find that link, I found myself looking at all the flavours we can't get down here. As if living in England isn't punishment enough.

Wow... that's a real tough question. I like a lot of them. I work an ice cream parlour that has five 40-minute lineups every day for about five hours a night. Yes, it's that popular. Anyway, I've tried pretty much everything. We have this "flavour burst" thing that actually adds flavoring to soft ice cream. It's awesome. By far the most famous one is Butter Pecan, but I've also taken to liking the Mocha one. Green Apple tastes really awesome when you add hot caramel on it. I'm not joking when I say it tastes EXACTLY like a caramel apple. In terms of hard ice cream, my favourite is definitely chocolate chip cookie dough. But in terms of ice cream in general, I have no answer.

Incidentally, I have a belly like a pregnant woman.

For any other Californians out there, Thrifty's Malted Chocolate Chocolate Chip ice cream is awesome. Thrifty was bought out by Rite Aid several years ago but the old Thrifty stores still carry the ice cream, along with an ice cream counter. Last I heard you could get 2 scoops for $0.58!!!

The best ice-cream? Cold.

As long as it's below 5 Celsius, based from Cream, a notable percentage sugar and tastes good, I'm a happy camper.

Oh good god, please tell me your joking nilcypher!

At the moment (my tastes change like the seasons) I still like cornish-style vanilla ice-cream. With strawberries.
