Searched Forums, nothing came up.

Here I am, bored while watching the Olympics, when an interesting topic struck me.

Here it is.

If you had a child, what would you name it?

It's a question I will need to deliberate myself, but please provide your own choices.

I'll post the obvious choice: DUDE

However, personally, I would have to go with "Tubbi". Imagine the ridicule! Ooh, joy!

Sven, Nicko (Nicco) for a boy maybe. And for a girl I am not entirely sure.

I talk about this quite often with my friends.

I'd say Lena for a girl, and although i'd never really had one before the other day Seth for a boy (maybe joseph, but it came from the name sephiroth and i actually quite liked it.)

Hmm, I like Quinn for a boy, and Serenity of a girl.

Looking at the response for this thread I don't think many gamers should have children. :-p

dont worry, most of us (being gamers) will never have children!

personally i'd go with Artemis (both a male and female name) so i dont have to think of 2 different names! plus you have to admit its cool!

Whatever the most popular child name for the relevant gender is.

I don't want to shortchange my offspring with some goofy name like Apple.

Knox, Daniel or Andy for a boy.
Rachel or Nastasha for a girl

Boy: Malak (angel); Amar (moon); Seed (sir); Fahed (fa-head; panther).
Girl: Aleda (little winged); Sihaya (Dune reference; means oasis); Lilu (Fifth Element reference; no idea what it means but it's a cute and cool name).

I was also thinking of Brawler. Why the fuck not? Got a problem? Talk it over with Brawler.

I don't like boy names... so I refuse to think of one. My own I even find lacking.

For girls, I like Audrey and Fiona most.

Hmmm...just for giggles I would have to say 'Yngwie' for a boy and for a girl I would have to say to the mother of the child 'you pick'.

I am a true to life, obsessive car guy. My first daughter's initials are DMV. Her nickname is Pushrod. Danika, named after Danica Patrick...

Jallil and I are discussing what we want to name our child, when we have one, but no good ones are jumping out at me yet...

Im sure it'll be the character from whatever game Im hooked on at the time...

for example:
Im playing Gears of War, the child shall be named First name: Marcus...middle name: Fenix
Im playing Soul Calibur, the child shall be named...probably Siegfried...or Cervantes

Boy: Gordan Freeman (<-Freeman = middle name)
Girl: GLaDOS

~sryos tyme naow~

Boy: Stephen (for Stephen Hawkings, because he's awesome, or because it sounds like Steve, as in Steve Irwin, who was *sniff...* equally awesome)
Girl: Gabriel (because I can not think of another name that sounds as cute, but isn't beaten to death by some idiot celebrity)

My first child will be called Hey (beware, I actually have a long argument for why Hey is a great name)!

After that they will be named after the planets in order. Mercury, Venus (yes, even if it's a guy), Earth, Mars (yes, even if it's a girl), Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus (they'll have a fun life), Pluto (take that astronomers!) and Eris.

Either that or name them after places. Seattle (to be shortened to Sea pronounced "say-a") for a girl. Vegas for a boy. Something like that.
