They get in the gardens and make it look all bad. But I'm not the gardening type. I just mow it all down so the grass looks pretty.

.

Seriously, what's with the lack of thought put into the new threads. What about weed? What's your stance on it? Any topic to revolve around in particular? No, yes, maybe?

At least it isn't a poll.
My theory is too many noobs.

*Edit* I suppose I should at least say something related to the topic. *ahem*
Weed should be legal or at worst a ticketing offense. Weed is largely harmless, especially when you consider that even fucking Tylenol kills around 450 people a year in the US alone. No one ever died of a weed overdose.

That said, I've tried it a couple of times but it doesn't do anything for me. Color me disinterested.

If i were to live in a free country i would use it every now and then to get rid of the stress and aches i struggle with every day, but seeing as i dont live in a free country (thanks alot fucking government), there's no way i can use it without the law being there and stopping me, oh, and about my country not being free, our government now has the right to listen to our phone calls and messages/emails without any suspicion, there's no privacy left in sweden..

When I saw this topic, I thought that this couldn't be what I thought it was, and hoped it was about the TV show. Apparently it was the worst option. It is better choice than alcohol, but bad in itself as well.

Greetings from Finland, you listen to us too.
By any chance, are you a member of piratpartiet, for at least I'm a member of the Finnish party.

In order to overdose on THC you would have to smoke between 10,000 and 15,000 blunts in under 10 minutes

I'm a fan of the ol' cannabis.

No harmful side-effects to speak of, makes me feel good, is fun to do with friends...

Personally, I'm baffled as to why so many people are against it.

I can understand what you're saying HSIA

But I'm not for it, but nor am I against it

I could care less if my friends do it, I just don't want to do it.

I'm not personally a fan of it but I think it should be legal. Do you know the three main industries which pioneered the illegalization of hemp? Tobbacco, Alcohol and Paper. Basically, it was illegalized to make life easier for it's competitors.

Don't forget the rope industry.

Yeah, rope put in their fare share as well.

It irritates me that we would illegalize something solely to give it's competitors a monopoly and then years later argue about how horrible it always was.

Pot can be used to treat some illnesses. I'd love to see a doctor prescribe someone a shot of whiskey.

I don't do it, and i think it can damage people, but so can alcohol and cigarettes, so they either should outlaw cigarettes (try touchin my booze!) or make weed acceptable, also probably helps society as no one on weed freaks out and beats up/kills people. compared to other drugs, though an age limit should be applied so only people who can handle it take it.

It is now.

Anyways, I'm for its legalisation, simply because we have better things we could spend our money fighting. That said, I have no interesting in trying the substance.

I think it should be legalized, I mean just like Rex said, Doctors prescribe for medicine...My moms boyfriend got it prescribed to him because he had cancer and to get kemo therapy.

And I as well agree on the age limit. I would say like 21 just like booze.

Total agreement. Besides, if the government even put a minor tax on it, they would make billions. They are just too resistant to it because "Drugs are bad, mmmmmmkay."

If it were me, I would legalize pretty much anything that wasn't poison and transfer half the money we spend throwing young pot heads in prison (still a very sizable amount) to rehab programs and awareness campaigns. I take the other half of the money and see what we could do about the 13 trillion dollars (and growing) debt.

I would also either make the drug age 18 or the voting age 21. You're either a fully capable, decision making adult or you aren't! The idea that at eighteen you're fully capable of voting for a president, getting drafted into a war, losing your arm in said war, coming back and buying an apartment, get prosecuted for not paying your taxes; but your not mature enough to consume alcohol really irritates me.

But then again I'm a libertarian so ... what can I say?

I can understand you on that. Making weed legal would make billions of dollars, even if half of it goes to the debt, you'd b able to pay it if not all of it, most of it because like PlaylistOne said most of the people couldn't resist not buying it.

I wouldn't mind either one, I mean the you're right about the voting and draft, but that's the main reason they moved the voting down to 18, is because when kids were still getting drafted, they never had a chance to vote and they're going out to war and dieing. So I would probably make it 18, that's a better choice. I mean, yes it's dangerous to drive while high(I've been in a car while the driver was high) But it's still better then driving drunk. And I'm sure most 18 year olds are able to drink, it's just because they don't think they're that good of drivers yet. Even though most people 21+ are just as bad.

I dont care what anybody says, weed should be a choice. Thats it. Until it starts to affect others, no1 else should have a say in it. Of course, such activities, such as driving, while high should be lookeed down upon and any1 who does so should pay proper consequences, but other than that its a completely personal matter.
