It has got to be Scorpion. I remember my childhood days of throwing spars into peoples hearts. Those were the days.

I'm torn between Ryu and Scorpion, Ryu has a full selection of groovy weapons (a man after my own heart) and frequently bumps into women who resemble porn stars, on the other hand, Scoprion as that cool hook thing (GET OVER HERE!) and turns out to be a skeleton (or someting) which is always handy.

Other. I second the N / N+ vote, I've been a fan for years. Honourable mentions to Rikimaru from Tenchu (but only the first two games in the series before it went shit), and Masaaki Hatsumi, one of the most famous real-life ninjas still alive today.

N is a pretty cool guy. eh eats yellow blocks and doesn't afraid of anything.

Kage (VF), oldschool ninja, none of this hacking and slashing about, running around in impractical outfits or using magic or whatever. He's just a very fast guy with a very deceptive fighting style.

Ryu was probably the freshest in my mind, I must've gone through NG three or four times (including once in his future suit).
I like Ayane too though, more from DOA than NG, as she's got that kind of underdog-in-a-tight-spot thing that appeals to me. Definitely a favourite (and for reasons other than boobies, TYVM).
Sub-Zero's an old favourite tho, since way back. My first (and biggest) taste of the MK franchise before it went to shit (anywhere after MKII), he fills me with nostalgia.

But hey, here's one: Speedy Ser-vi-ce. The Pizza Cats were originally ninja, not samurai...
