Gone Gonzo Posts: 2770 Joined: 13 Feb 2008 | I don't know if being absurdly blunt is an admirable trait, but I got it in spades. Also, I can usually view arguments, situations, etc. very objectively, sort of a "will this matter to you in a few days? If not, why are you so mad?" thing. |

I really hope not. That would be a huge disapointment for me. |

Mr. Rain is a Grade A pathetic loser. What's my trait? Calling people nasty names. |

Paperboy Posts: 31 Joined: 27 Jul 2008 | beeing completely detatched emotionally from the world, keeping an objective and true look at events. basically a psychopath, in a good way. id like to add that most of you will probably have hard time living up to what youve said here. As if what anyone says about themselves can ever be completely true. |

On the Record Posts: 6467 Joined: 24 Apr 2008 | I am stupidly outgoing, to the point i can no longer feel fear at public speaking, meeting people or performing. Embarrassment ceased to exist a long time ago, fear of judgement is long gone. There are extraverts who think i need to slow down... Fear is a relative term, i have been shot, after that anything other than physical peril is about as scary as a sugar-cookie. I am also funny. And i mean funny, i'm quick enough and intelligent enough to never let an opportunity for a joke pass, and whenever i end up performing an eye dry from laughter is a failure. Look for The Ultra Joe in stand-up or acting, you may 'psh' at my dreams but i have done a 9 to 5 job, and i never. will. again,... cubicle-coffins just suck the life out of you. I often found myself wanting the traits i lacked, booksmarts, diligence, raw mathematical power... but when i ended up embracing the talents i did posses they turned out to be greater than i imagined. I wish i was more like my 'nerd' friends (a relative term, and outside school a pointless one), and they wish they were more like me. Why do we seek what we do not understand? i don't really know. But ill tell you what, mine are better at parties. |

I don't know if I'd call that admirable, just a little sad. If anything, I'd say my humility. Though, very few of my peers have mentioned anything they admire for, and I would never bother asking them. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 2275 Joined: 13 Sep 2007 | Good question. I never noticed any one recurring positive thing people have said about me, so I really don't know. Anyone feel like stroking my ego and telling me? [Not meant to be taken seriously] |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 1679 Joined: 29 Dec 2007 | Oddly enough most of what I like about myself came only after accepting that morals are irrelevant. I'm outgoing, lack a fear of judgment, and I can turn anything into a funny albeit tasteless joke. I think I'm one of the few people who has been positively affected by 4chan. |

I guess I admire conviction and drive. Something about someone sticking with a goal they've given themselves, or holding a belief, even when the conventional wisdom, and common sense of most would dictate otherwise resonates with me. |

I was talking to my father and my friend Zeb (at different times, obviously). Both conversations turned interesting when they both told me they admired me because I had "Balls".
Now, this is interesting to me because 1) I consider these two people to know me better than anyone, and 2) I'd always thought people liked me because I was an intelectual. I asked them what they meant, and they both said, in more or less words, "There are things you are willing to do without a second thought that other people wouldn't or couldn't do, and that's admirable."
So, what is it about you that people admire? Are you kind? Brave? Levelheaded? Something else entirely? I simply ask out of curiosity, and I apologize if I've overstepped my bounds.
