I've seen them four times, and I shed a little tear when I saw them on the last date of their farewell tour. Comedy - I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue live. Well-known to anyone who listens to BBC Radio 4, and tickets are like gold dust. I laughed so hard I could feel it the next morning. |

On the Record  Posts: 5496 Joined: 7 Feb 2008  | While I've never actually seen them live I hear STARS is better live than on their albums, on their albums they use a lot of Synthisizers and Electronica, but in their live shows I hear they focus on classical rock instrumentation with only a single keyboard and not a lot of mixing, and apparently it's a truly awesome experience. Personally though the best live shows I've ever been too are David Bowie and Bruce Springsteen (seen for free while working as an usher, I also accidentaly got high at a Metallica concert, but that's another story) |

That said, in my experience, the live shows that I have enjoyed the most have been bands that play in shithole bars and underground concert halls. I saw 3 Inches of Blood not too long ago at such a shithole, and it's an experience I'll never forget. |

I could count it as comedy too seeing that Jimmy Urine likes to crack quite a few jokes throughout their performance. He once asked for cigs from the crowd, "The gods are in need of smokes!" someone threw a pack of menthol's at him, "The Gods DO NOT like menthol!" and throws it back at the guy. |

Born of Osiris, The Faceless, Whitechapel, The Black Dahlia Murder, and several local death metal/deathcore acts. The best modern death metal and deathcore music around, it was great. So much brutality. Unfortunately I did not get to stay for the entire thing because if I did, I would have died of dehydration and exhaustion. I spent all my money on a Despised Icon shirt and getting my friend in, then after that, I had no cash only a debit card, which they did not accept. And also you couldn't leave and return. So, I would have been at a 8 or so hour long death metal concert, moshing, throwing down, sweating everything, without water. I would've died. Still a great show, I'll never forget it. Crowd surfed, throwind down, shook hands with the Faceless singer while he was screaming out stuff, all in all a great time. |

It wasn't as awesome as that concert - in Montreal, I believe - where they left the stage and went on playing through the streets, but the band knows how to draw the audience into them in a wonderful way. |

I've been to a lot of shows in my life but there was something amazing about how Public Enemy made the album (released 1988) still seem fresh. Comedy wise - Paul Merton presenting the Silent Comedy Festival in Bristol was pretty good. |
Gone Gonzo  Posts: 4269 Joined: 13 Aug 2008 | I've seen John Cleese live, not as good as other comedians I've seen, but that was overshadowed by a feeling of 'Woo! it's John Cleese!' I wish I had seen Dire Straits live, but I was in nappies when that would have been possible. (barring a reunion tour or something) Also from what I've seen, I would heavily suggest against seeing videos or watching some weird reunion tour of Pink Floyd, I love Pink Floyd, I really do, but they suck live. |

Musically, I've seen Maiden, A7X, BFMV, Trivium and a hell of a lot more really good metal bands that I can't be bothered to name, but none of them even come remotely close to Megadeth live. The only way I could describe them is incredible. |

I've seen them 4 times, they always put on a great show. For me, Roger Waters. It all just came together SO well. It sounded amazing. That or the music of Led Zeppelin feat. Symphony Orchestra. That sounded really good. |

i can top the Evil Dead the musical, just add Bruce Campbell to the mix, i got to see the show with Bruce and then even got to ask him questions as for Mike Patton's antics on stage, which frankly are legendary, my personal fav to watch was him unzipping his pants and whipping it out telling some idiot, whom he was calling mr mackenzie and a large hockey puck, to suck him off in cops coliseum during the tomahawk/tool tour and haven't seen him at the festival but i've seen a ton of his videos doing stuff |

At times, the lead singer doesn't sound like he's putting any effort into his singing, which doesn't necessarily make the song sound bad... But it's not exactly what I payed 50-150 dollars for. @minstauce: I just looked Orbital up on Youtube and listened to TheBox. They sound kinda interesting o.o Can you recommend a good song from em' ? |

What would you all say is the best live performance youve seen, music or otherwise?
For me, comedywise i think it would be Jimmy Carr, and musicwise, either Rodrigo y Gabriela, for mainly atmospheric reasons, or Reel Big Fish who were fantastic live.
