That was, after all, my first thought when I saw "Palin selected as vice-presidential candidate". By choosing someone with no experience (less experience in government than even Mr. Obama himself), someone who is the nearest thing to eye-candy that you can get in serious politics, and perhaps more importantly someone who comes from a solidly Republican state with only three electoral votes, McCain has dealt a serious blow to his candidacy, and in the spirit of the last name, all I can say is:

"It's not pining, it's passed on! This campaign is no more! It has ceased to be! It's expired and gone to meet its maker! This, is a late campaign! It's a stiff! Bereft of life, it rests in peace! If you hadn't nailed it to the perch it would be pushin' up the daisies! It's rung down the curtain and joined the choir invisible! "THIS IS AN EX CAMPAIGN!"

Oh well, I was voting for Bob Barr anyway.

Good. The last thing we need is another warmongering Republican with no idea how to fix the economy...

I know, I know. "Wasted vote". But I was already going to the polls to vote for Dean Heller for Congress and to vote for whoever's running against my City Council member, so why not tick off the box for the Libertarians while I'm there? Not like I'd be going out of my way.

I think this was actually a decent move for the Republicans. And besides, she may have more experience than Obama, considering that Obama has never been a governor or a member of the Armed Forces.

Obama was an Illinois state senator for most of his career, and was in Washington at least as long as she was Governor of one of the least populous states in America.

Oh, and she got 80% of the vote of a town of 7,000.

Either I don't get the joke, or you've made a very funny mistake.
Oh Sarah Palin, I see what you did there.

But she has done more executive work then him, He has 0 experience while she has 2+ years of experience in presidential work.

HEY! That hurts. I'm leaning toward Barr myself. If only the man had a sense of humor...

And personally I'm holding out for a Palin-Palin ticket - who needs McCain?

Such a shame, really, that in an age of outsourcing and foreign investment we can't outsource the government. 535 randomly selected Romanian gold farmers could do a better job than the House and Senate.
