I forgot to add Zach to my list, may I post in shame! |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 2892 Joined: 6 Mar 2008 | Zach G. is great. Some others I really like are Patton Oswalt, Paul F. Tompkins, Dave Chappelle, Dave Attell, Brian Posehn. I guess if I had to narrow it down, it'd be between Patton Oswalt - I like his intellectual, even sort of "nerdy" style - and Dave Chappelle - who's just a great storyteller and acts out each of the characters so well. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 1850 Joined: 31 Oct 2007 | Well, if we're counting dead ones.. then definitely Bill Hicks and Mitch Hedburg belong on anyones list who have functional ear drums. Also, I'll add Brian Posehn, too. If you're looking for a "clean" stand-up comedian who is actually pretty hilarious to watch with your family.. Brian Regan is a good choice. |

I have both his DVDs and drove two hours down to Calgary to see him live. This guy is the king of voice/accent impersonations, and he never fails to get me laughing. Other favorites, |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 3617 Joined: 7 Aug 2008 | A lot of British comedians, and Bill Hicks I see |
Infamous Scribbler Posts: 575 Joined: 21 Jun 2008 | Russell Peters, Maz Jobrani, Lewis Black, Ahmed Ahmed and Jerry Seinfeld. These are my personal favourites, I've seen Russell and Ahmed live, absolutely fantastic. |
Pulitzer Laureate Posts: 928 Joined: 29 Jun 2008 | Eddie Izzard's got to be my favourite because he's just so damn cool. He's like the uncle I wish I had when I was a kid. I've only ever seen Frankie Boyle on Mock The Week, but he just makes jokes that no-one else can make. Or at least, they don't seem to want to try. This may sound weird, but Robin Williams is pretty good in his Broadway show. It's difficult to know which of his accents is his real one. |
Paperboy Posts: 22 Joined: 1 Sep 2008 | Eddie Izzard is a hero. His stuttering streaming-thought style is absolutely hysterical. I watched Stewart Lee's "World's 41st Best Stand-Up" show earlier today and it had me howling with laughter. |

Me and my friends were talking earlier today and ended up on what comedians we liked the most. I personally love Lee Evans, Russell Howard and Michael McIntyre, (I am aware all are British). I love Lee as he is so energetic (I actually get tired while watching him), Michael because almost all his jokes are his own, and Russell is just inexplicable.
So who is your favorite Comedian and why?
