Heroes looks like it's gonna be good this fall. anyone know of any spoilers or any relevant information about it?

Live in Australia so i am waiting for dvd box set for season 2.

NEEEED MOOOORE. Best show i've seen in ages.

I gotta say heroes would be a lot more enjoyable without Peter. He is an annoying godmode whose only limitation is he is mentally stupid.

The rest is great though.

Is there anything to discuss? At leat give us something to talk about.

I never watched Heroes. It's on Channel 7 (Australia), and Channel 7 is the EA of Aussie TV.

I dislike Channel 7 a lot.

only thing i didn't like about season 2 is it was too short

I watched ten seconds of Heroes and already knew that it wasn't going to be my sort of show. I like my science fiction to be either ridiculously realistic or crazy beyond belief - I don't tend to go for the middle section very much.

I do know that Volume 3 is titled "Villains". Taking a stab at it I'm expecting another villain to be introduced, I'm also hoping they'll bring back Hana in her AI existence.

I tried watching the first season and gave up. The show's creators claimed this was a 'superhero' story involving realistic characters. It's not. The characters are either handsome/beautiful models (cheerleader girl/psycho single mum/painter man) or cartoon characters (Hiro). The story was the same old hokum as seen in a hundred bad superhero films. The only half-way decent character was that policeman.

And, not that I'm a mindless sheep or anything, but the great Alan Moore does not approve. He should know, he tackled exactly the same premise twenty odd years ago. Did rather well at it too, apparently...

I like Heroes. It's a great idea for a show executed beautifully, resonably well acted and as well written as any comic book you are likely to read is. The problem is that its heroes are going to get rediculusly overpowered very quickly, meaning believable villians are gonna be less likely to be around

I want an uber villain like apocalypse, THAT uber. But not the occasional pansie apocalypse but the actual future-dictator pedo-apocalypse (as in pedophile, he kissed kids to pass on his life force or whatever). That apocalypse was nasty business.

Sylar seems to be slowly moving that way, but I dunno, with Peter there just sucking anyone's power by standing next to them makes me like Sylar more 'cuz he's an underdog and actually has to work for his keeps(eating brains, anyone?). I want a badass villain with no mommy issues please.

How fucked up & super pissed off is the guy in the coffin going to be when he gets out? I mean being that he can't die, eventually he'll get out since he's only in a wooden box 6 feet underground, it's not like he encased in concrete or anything.

Seismic or volcanic activity could set him free & Japan has plenty of that. Do you think they're saving that for a later season, like 5 or 6?

Also when he does get out, will he be really pale due to lack of sunlight, he wasn't exactly tanned before, he'll look Albino. In the future he'll keep getting called Milky by Japanese Cyber-Punks which will piss him off even more!.

Here's the official season 3 trailer. So, obviously the central focus will be finding all of the villains that escaped and locking them away again, killing them (in Sylar's case), or otherwise taking away their powers.

I'm pretty impressed by it. It's simple, but effective.

Odds are that Adam will escape, but it won't happen for a few more seasons. So, he'll have many years to come up with an incredibly brilliant evil plan. That will be a good plot, but right now NBC is distancing itself from season 2 since it had one or two episodes cut from that story arc, and the end felt very rushed.

Even though s2 was pretty bland and boring the season3 trailer does look good - except i hope they dont have a good Vs evil Claire

I liked Hiro for a while, and I like Mr. Bennet and Parkman is ok.

The problem with Heroes is that Peter has way too many powers and the writers can't create believable situations for him.

Like at the end of last season where they had to get through the vault door, and he was using telekinesis to pull the door out of the socket. Why didn't he use his walk through walls ability to walk through the wall and get in? He needs to lose some of his abilities.

Peter's huge and varied power list is kept in check by the fact that he is a fucking moron.

In fact "Peter Is A Fucking Moron" was pretty much the entire plot of season 2. With occasional breaks out for "Claire Is A Fucking Moron", and "No-one Cares About Maya And Alejandro And Can Sylar Just Eat Their Brains Already".

I'm really, really pissed because within a few weeks of the new season's start, I get shipped to fucking basic training. Fuck that writer's strike... fuckin' with my Heroes.

I love Heroes, I told one of my friends how I liked Lost and he recommended Heroes to me, almost done with the second season on DVD, should be finished by the time season 3 starts next Monday, I can't wait.

He has no power, how can you not get that yet? He's kind of the string that ties everyone together.
