im no looking for trouble, but why do you like pink floyd?... i mean i know some song but what makes it so special to you? and i repeat im not saying pink floyd its not good or something... just i guess it dosnt get me that way

I guess its a different taste. I really like them cause there music is very different, for every mood that im in, they have soft stuff, and stuff that just gets you pumped up. There vocals are great, and great innovation in different instruments.

Iron Maiden, if you couldn't tell by my review of them, followed by Rush. After that, it gets a bit blurry. Boston, Pink Floyd, Foreigner, Cream...all somewhere in there...

All-time favorite bad: Tool. Nuff said.

Currently, I've been listening to Russian Circles. Totally instrumental, and I can't imagine them any other way.

SEASearch button people. This is being reported.

And thats cool, when i searched for it i didnt find anything. If they really have a problem with this, make a better search engine. And besides, it has like 4 replies. Big deal.

Tool and The Mars Volta at the moment, but I like anything from heavy metal to electronica, so long as it's done well.

The Beatles...I am the Walrus and Helter Skelter are some of my favorite songs for some reason.

The reason being that those songs are awesome.

It has "like 4 replies" because it was locked for being a repeat of God-knows how many others.

That being said, it's a tie between Disturbed or System of a Down.

What? I'm a sucker for these types of threads (though I would never start one. Please don't ban me).

Tied between metallica, slipknot, arch enemy, mushroom head, bullet for my Valentine, bleed the sky, lamb of God, chimaira and parkway drive. I don't like being decisive.

Nice one. The name of the game is an awesome song!

Hmm currently I'd say Brand New and Alexisonfire.
I seem to have a pretty schizophrenic taste in music though, occasionally and for no apparent reason I just go right off a band.

Progressive rock is seriously overrated.

I used to be a huge Porcupine Tree fan (I still have all of their major albums), but looking back, I can't believe I was so angsty.

Unfortunately, I can't pick one, two, or even three bands that are my favorites. I listen to music the majority of my day, and like a wide variety.

Lost Prophets, Eyes set to Kill, Spill Canvas, the Audition, Anberlin are the ones I've listened to the most so far today.

Protest the Hero. Been a fan since i heard Kezia back in 2005. They were the first sort of "heavier" band i listened to and as such, i've gotten into alot of Different stuff since then.

They're going to be in the town an hour over in two weeks..no school that day to boot. Now i just need to go get tickets.

Mastodon is a close second. It's hard to say why i like them, but i just really do.

Favourite album right now would have to beNachtmystium's Assassin's:Black MEddle Part 1...wish i could find a copy of Instinct:Decay though (saw one at an HMV and didn't buy it thinking it was on itunes...fuck...

KMFDM or MDFMK same band, just different time period.

Whenever faced with this question, I choose to fall back on the bands I deem "guilty pleasures"; those being Mindless Self Indulgence and The Killers. While I also prefer bands such as At the Drive-In, The Matches, Tokyo Police Club, Dr. Manhatten, and so forth, they are all so many and changing in their importance to me. MSI and The Killers, however, are always right there to fall back on, though, so I deem them favorites by technicality.

How is Mindless Self Indulgence a guilty pleasure? I've been listening to them since Frankenstien Girls.

Most of the music I like is by a single artist, but I love the new Coldplay album. Cemetries of London kicks absolute ass.

I have been listening to a lot of Slayer lately, though I never listen to one band for too long and have started listening to Lordi more and more.

Angsty? Christ, they're a prog-rock band, not some MCR knock-offs. Anyways, go get some Tool, Mastodon and Opeth down you, and hausht yer wheet.
