Uh... Possibly your browser? Maybe your processor. Try downloading a new browser, preferably one less RAM-intensive, that way you can test both stones with one bird. Otherwise, no, I haven't noticed this problem. I do load pages slow, but that's my college-connection so it's not the Escapist's fault.
nop....fast as ever...
Yes, usually around 8-10pm, which is 3-5pm US, just when schools and jobs turn out. I'd say it was something to do with my PC, but the timing is so consistent that I think there must be a jump in server activity at that time.

Yeah, it's happened to me sometimes.
Many tabs open??? | |
It uesd to do that alot, but it hasn't for a long time. My internet provider (telstra) gives us a certain amount of download before we go down to dial-up speed. We don't pay extra so its not all bad.

Hya all,
I was wondering if anybody else is having the feeling that the escapist site and the forums are a bit slow.
The page loads normal but scrolling up or down is far to slow and rough (getting stuck n go).
I disabled jawa and/or flash for a while hoping it'll do something but it doesn't seem to be one of those. I can't really find much on the site or forum that could require a bunchload of resources, but then again I'm no expert in that stuff.
I really like some of the discussions around here but it is a pain in the ass how slow this site works for me.
So what is it? Am I the only one who has those problems (my Pc to slow, I doubt its my internet coneection) or is it something resource hungry on this site?
So long
