He's taking about RAK The Undead, a quite well-known and respected user here that is sometimes over-run by his Autonomous AI.

[RAK BOOT LDR SEQ V1.2: GET SETFILE 1, 2, 5, 6, 117; APPLY SETFILE 1, 2; INIT SETFILE 5, 6, 117; RUN]

<RAK Boot Loader Sequence Initialised.

Initialising operational protocols... Done.
Initialising volatile memory... Done.
Initialising main memory... Done.
Initialising swap partitions... Done.
Initialising control sequences... Done.
Initialising reasoning protocols... Done.

RAK Mobile Autonomous Intelligence Initialised.>

[This is a message courtesy of the RAK Mobile Autonomous Intelligence, Reasoning Protocols Section, Conversational Sub-Section, v1.03.]

[Does the RAK Mobile Autonomous Intelligence perceive discussion pertaining to it? The Intelligence does essentially conform to the strict definition of a robot, but because of its partially biomechanical construction, and the fact that for optimal processing capacity, it must be connected to the Avatar, the Intelligence may not apply to the definition of a robot that you were considering.

HK-47 is the pinnacle of evil automatons, Hal-9000 comes close.
Clank wins best supporting character.
Daleks win cutest couple.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. It's powered by pure willpower and determination, it uses massive drills as weapons and in its last battle it gets so huge it uses galaxies as stepping stones.

Daleks aren't TECHNICALLY robots, right? If they are, then my vote goes to them.

If not, then I'd probably have to go with HK-47.

The Haro from various Gundam series win for cutest, though. :D

Most annoying = Alpha from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

Robots scare me. But not for their advanced, immoral logic that could threaten humanity as with most people, but rather for their advanced, immoral strength that could also threaten humanity...

So yeah, robots can threaten humanity. Though if I had to choose I would say Bender is the best robot 'cause he's funny and doesn't threaten me...mostly.

Thread over.

This thread is about robots not cyborgs, so the Terminator doesn't count. Even just the exoskeleton with no organic flesh is more of an android than a robot.

Same with HK-47 or most Star Wars "droids", they're androids not robots.

The robots which make microchips are pretty great, as are those robots which blow up unexploded bombs.

Fictionally, I'd go for Unicron, you can't get much greater than a robotic planet.

Surely they're just types of robots right?
